Love your flosstube! Beautiful projects, beautiful stitching! Our town of 11,000 in Spencer Iowa experienced a once in a lifetime flood 12 weeks ago. I have a heart for the people going through the hurricanes, because ours was equally devastating, but very unexpected considering where we live. Almost no one had flood insurance because we have never needed it. many people had to walk away because they had huge mortgages on homes that were destroyed. It really takes a lot of perseverance and faith to get through it so my prayers are with the hurricane victims.
Lovely work and updates. You are so right waiting on a second with Roxy. Good to hear a sensible view aired. You can always revisit in a year or so when she is more settled 🤞🤞
I love your comments and I agree turning 50 is a major change for us. Keep up your self care. More water, more Roxy walking! And you’ll see a difference. In my mid fifties I couldn’t keep up with a 4 year old granddaughter. Gave up Diet Pepsi and started walking. I’ve been successful keeping off 80 pounds except for during Covid. But I’m back down. Up to 2-3 mile walks and healthier than most almost 70 year olds as per my doctor. And I’m happy for that. And I’m happy for my stitching and quilting. Knitting is next. And I’m happy for sitting with you each time you post.
Boy “pets are expensive” is an understatement! Had a cancer scare with my boy Harley last week, and the good news is he does not have cancer, he has a chronic enteritis ($3000 later!). But I love my boy! Had to cancel a trip but he is worth it! Roxy is so cute, my heart loves Luna girl!
Amazing projects as always. I hate the heat and humidity. I miss living in Northern Alberta, but my family is here in Kansas. I LOVE knitting socks! They are so relaxing and I swear, hand knitted socks relieve some of my foot pain.
Your WIPs are so beautiful and delicate! Thank you for sharing your concern for those impacted by Hurricane Helene. I was born & raised in North Carolina. The devastation in Western North Carolina is particularly hard for me to grasp. Praying for all those in multiple states who now begin the long hard work of cleanup and rebuilding.
Thank you for the lovely and enjoyable floss tube. I always enjoy your floss tube videos. I was surprised by the number of ads. There was an ad about every 4 or 5 minutes. I know you have nothing to do with that and you tube just sticks them in, but I thought I would let you know just in case you weren't aware. Have a wonderful week and I hope you have lots of stitchy time.
Seriously - that paw over John's leg absolutely killed me! Total buds. Great job on the marathon family - inspiring. And finally, you take care of yourself girl...we need you out here in "listening" land.
Oh, thank you ❤️ They really are best buds. And you are very sweet - it's a season for sure and it will pass. I'm doing what I need to do to stay healthy. xx
Omg I never knew about the spill proof Stanley lid I just went to Amazon to order it . Thank you. I always put lemon and a pinch of salt in my water. I totally understand the caffeine problem I can’t drink it after lunch . Your stitching is beautiful
Indeed, I do catch up on your videos in the middle of the night….so sorry to welcome you to the insomnia league. As a child, we saved our pickles till after all veges were done….home made pickles were the best! 🦉🇨🇦🍂🍁
Thank you so much for this video. Just what I needed. I so admire all your beautiful stitching and knitting. AMAZING!!! Congratulations to all your family for completing the marathon. What great accomplishments!!! Happy stitching ❤
Just leaving a digital high five here to cheer you on with the healthy water drinking habit. You go girl!! Such a good choice :-) I'm a water lover myself but I have girlfriends around me who can't stand the stuff without some lemon/lime/cucumber/mint in it. You've got this! :-)
Oh dear, I found your latest flosstube 15 minutes ago, just when I went to sleep! But I couldn’t leave it and had to start it! But now I will leave it till tomorrow! Sweet dreams!
PS I applaud your family's marathon challenges and successes! Back in my youth (age 25 - 31) I entered 6 marathons and finished 5 (dropped out of 1 in Calgary due to heat). This was back in the day before women were permitted to run Olympic marathons, so 2 of the ones I ran were sponsored by AVON -- yes, the cosmetic company. I ran several AVON 10-k races and the marathons I ran were in San Francisco and Ottawa. My best time ever was in Calgary - 3 hours, 50 minutes and change. I'm short (5'2") and built like a box, but I have stamina! LOL! I didn't give up running after age 31 but in my mid-thirties my DH's Type 1 Diabetes started to really reak havoc on his body and I eventually slowed down to walking in my forties. (He died of T1D in 2006.) I still walk when I can, but when I hear about people running marathons, the memories all come back. Thanks for the memories.
Hi-Thanks for your video and beautiful stitching. I feel like we are in a parallel universe with the lime waters and former coffee habit. What I learned last year (at 52) is that my sleep was shattered not because of coffee, COVID, stress and all the other "reasons". I wasted time and money on solutions and got more sleep deprived and grumpier. Then I went to my GP who gave me the solution (hormone therapy). That very first night I slept my deepest sleep in years and have not looked back. Do what's right for you, but don't shy away from that potential solution. Good luck.
I love September’s Return! But I also love Halloween. I have been jumping between projects. Regarding healthy habits, I wake up at 3 a.m. when I eat carbs at night. I learned that our blood sugar spikes at 3 a.m. So, no pasta for dinner. I am watching Caroline’s great knitting videos. Once I got past casting on, they have been really fun. I see socks in my future. ❤
Yesterday I received my Cats Out of the Bag large flat bag and I absolutely love it! I knew I would. That was the one where I had to pause Hannah's presentation so I could immediately place an order! And Julie packed it so carefully in tissue, ribbon, and padded envelope. My birthday was just a week ago so my new project bag was a belated gift to myself. ❤🐈⬛ Your future heirloom (Frosty Cottages?) is so lovely and delicate. Beautiful stitching and a wonderful color palette.
So sorry you've not been able to stitch or knit this past week; hope you've caught up today (Sunday). I know it was because you and your crew were putting fabric subscribers' packages in the mail -- and Canada Post says my Traditional Selection package is due to arrive by Friday. Whoo hoo! I *love* Canadian football (fewer 'downs' and longer field than in the US = more challenging). My love started at McGill in 1969 when I joined the band that played at the games (I played piano which in a marching band translated to the glochenspiel). I still understand it, but no longer follow it -- it's not great on screen -- not like LIVE and in person. I's been decades since I've watched the Alouettes or the Stampeders play (I moved from Montreal to Calgary in 1976) -- I miss it a bit...but widowed now with grown kids (a bit younger than you but not by much), I just stitch. Bless you for all you do -- and yes, you are taking *great* care of yourself. You'll be fine when you get to my age (72).
So, this is a dog comment, not stitchy related - of course, your projects are as beautiful as always! I lost my “heart” dog around the same time as you lost your Luna. My husband was determined that it was his turn to pick a puppy, so we got a wirehire pointer as his hunting buddy. I love that puppy to death, but he is not my “Grim” heart dog… My take home message, let that puppy(very loosely, this can be an old puppy!) pick you! It’s never the right time and moment, your heart dog will find you though, so don’t close yourself to another soul friend.
I love this for your husband. I couldn't agree more. I was EXTREMELY lucky to get two dogs of my very own in a row, so I won't begrudge John his little partner ❤️😂
I am pretttty sure it is the called for from Norden Crafts. I kitted it all together as one giant piece after they were released with called for flosses etc so it makes sense that I also did that at the time. I think. 🤔 😂
Glad to see your September progress! I may have to take up knitting some day. Wow! Congratulations to the marathon runners, especially to John! First place! See you again soon!
Your dog is adorable. I've had two dogs at the same time and I was spending a lot of money for vet bills. unfortunately, I don't know of any vet that gives you a multiple pet discount.
Are you still shooting for an October 7 finish for weeds and Wildflowers? Also, and apologies if this is in the wrong place to ask, I ordered some fabrics yesterday and had hoped to order a 40ct Buttercup as well, but it didn't seem to be available. Is it coming back? Thx.
I have a question. WHY are the pictures included with a pattern "never going to match up to people's actual stitching" like you see on IG? I mean, they are all photographs. Are professional photographers not able to capture a finished piece as well as amateurs on IG using their phones? It all seems rather deliberate. 12:07
Because without spending massive dollars - the print quality just can’t match what you see in original photograph. Thats why IG photos capture more of the reality - though time of day and light will make those vary greatly as well. Take a photo in one place by your window and then later in the day same location. Nothing will look the same. But it WILL look better than a printed photo.

Congrats to the runners. My husband ran a marathon years ago (1996?) in Toronto. Just joined the Hannah stitch along. Enjoy your stitching day.

I thought vets were only expensive where I live. Glad I'm not alone.
I'm so glad to hear that its' not cancer!!!

I like to squeeze a bit of minced ginger and lemon juice into my water.
