I think this is one of the all-time great lead solos in rock guitar. It starts heavy and raw, grinding. Then it builds, but not too fast. It flies to the high registers, and spends a while there, melting your face. But the drops back reflectively. My one wish was that it took one last blazing resurgence like in Echos (Pink Floyd, Meddle) and set the world on fire with slide notes above the last fret.
Her smile and the feeling she puts into her guitar playing are both amazing:) seems like a very sweet and humble person too. I can't wait to see where she goes in life. Skies the limit Choloe:)

I bought Dark Side CD over a year ago to play in my car, and I think I love it more now than I did way back. It made me happy and also a little sad, because almost all my family is dead now, and the music reminded me of a time when everyone was still alive and getting high to these great Gilmour sounds. I think my favorite is Great Gig in the Sky

This is a really tough solo to play with so much string bending, it` takes strong hands, yet a subtle touch. Beautifully played and that smile is a treasure.

Awesome playing! I think what they did tone-wise was crunch it up more on a tube mixing console. It's sort of a reverb before dirt sound, though it's likely reverb after dirt in Gilmour's fx chain. I suspect they recorded him "hot" through a tube console, which gives distorted reverb or echos differently and without running reverb or delay through distortion on amps of pedals.
So much talent deposited in one so young. Plus the drive, dedication and obvious passion required to get this good. Let’s hope that if she decides to grace future humanity with her exceptional genes, ie has children, she keeps making magic like this.

One thing i like about David's solos, is he likes to let the notes ring, like Comfortably Numb too.
