hi! what is the order of the pet film and pe foam you applied onto your pcb? Was it 1) pcb, pe foam, pet film on top or 2) pcb, pet film, pe foam on top
A lot of keyboards that have super appealing price points that came out this year in China, already have this PET sheet under the IXPE foam. Leobog Hi75, Weika Sugar65, Weika WK870 (which seems to be discontiuned but resurfaced for the international market on Keebmonkey recently), to name a few all have it. As is this Womier keyboard which is actually rebranded Xinmeng M71 in china as I think you know? From the previous videos about this. So I'm not sure if its this manufacturer's innovation, not sure when it started to be honest.
Godly theme ng setup ng content mo sir as always! Pwede ko po ba ma confirm sang part i lalagay ung PET film? Sa may pinaka baba po ba like Pet film> Tape mod > PCB? Sorry ang slow ko po.
Is the stuff that you can find on shopee fine to use for this mod? Like just straight up sheets of it, would love to find ways to make my board sound even marblier than before ngl
So the Leobog Hi75 has not only a flex cut PP plate and PET sheet for both ESD protection attached to the bottom case foam... but also a layer for the PCB. You've covered both materials now... it has me convinced that I should probably rebuild this board again. I had previously had taken out the bottom case foam and the PET sheet on the PCB while adding two layers of tape mod to try to allow more flex in the tight case... You have me convinced to go back, remove the PE foam, and add back the case and PCB PET film as I'm seeking a nice warm sound with ABS keycaps (Drop DCX) Please to a comparison of keycaps materials and thickness!
I just found a piece of that in my glass mousepad package and I was considering cutting it somehow to fit my keyboard and then this video shows up
I am also using PE foam + PET film (stock one) on this board for now (my version is M71), sounds so good
Nice vid mate
Do you know where we could get PET film if we wanted to try it?
Any idea where you get the film they use in boards. I am using a 2 mm bed cover PET Plastic. Would like to find the real film that manufacturers send.

Can you gives a TLDR comment on what you think PET film vs no PET film does to the sound profile?

Its usually
Ok
Was the board for this test mod with tape? I mean in the captions I see “I tape” 2:30
In his separate review of the same keyboard he wrote it as 1 layer of tape mod, so I would assume yes.
Tinanggal ko yung ganyan sa pcb ni Cidoo v75, kala ko extra protection lang 🤣
