The only reason I’d say the show is “mid” to some is the fact that the animation cannot capture the art quality of the manga. If the anime had the grittier art style that’s found in the manga people would not be complaining at all. I mean, they couldn’t even pull the joke on rogue/vigilante deku “It seems like you’re even drawn differently than the rest of us lately” because in terms of anime animation there was no difference between deku and the rest of the cast.

It's just at that time Midoriya lost to Todoroki during the sports festival because his body still couldn't hold his own strength, imagine if at that time he could use OFA without damaging himself, it would have been a pretty easy match for him lol.
