- Former deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce slams a press release from Greens leader Adam Bandt on the Australian discourse around net zero.
“I’d ask Adam Bandt what manufacturer is trying to move to Australia, I can tell you about the ones that are moving out,” Mr Joyce told Sky News host James Macpherson.
“We got to have a reality check, this nation has to become as strong as possible as quickly as possible.”
“You have a responsibility to make this country strong.”

The past few days the Greens/Labor renewables provided 1% of the electricity demand, where in the hell is the other 99% going come from if the Greens wish to get rid of gas, coal , no nuclear is allowed? Is it the Lithium-ion battery that are going to provide 4GW or more in any one state over several days? Please provide calculation, the cost and the environmental impact because I claim that it can't be done. This calculation won't be done by people with arts or law degrees or the ABC fact check unit that doesn't appear to know the difference between power and energy, sadly.
So where is the 99% of electricity coming from and who will pay for the billions of dollars of capital expenditure sprawled all over the countryside doing practically nothing.
