I just rescued a pregnant piggie. Her previous owner smoked. Poor baby smelled awful, but is better now. I didn’t bathe her because she is very nervous. The clean pine bedding took care of the smell. I didn’t know about parsley. Thank you. I don’t know her age, and she didn’t have a name even. So she is my Ivy. I will care for her the best I can. ❤️

and I’m feeding garden select young guniea pig is there a difference ?

Guinea pigs ( especially females) should never be housed alone! Even while pregnant. It's extremely stressful for them.

I’m so nervous! One of my skinny pigs came to me pregnant and due any day now she’s only around 5 months and so scared for her 🥺

I hope your skinny pig has a successful birthing. Can relate to being nervous about it. Be sure to have a Guinea Pig veterinarian on standby in case your girl needs medical attention.

I got a mew guinea pig given by a friend who she found with a owner who no longer wanted it and I’m starting to think it’s Bc she was pregnant…I’m almost 99% sure she is and if that is the case is it okay to introduce her to one or all 3 of my other females or should I wait until after birth ?

    • @deanssavvycavies

Some pregnant piggies don’t mind being with other girls…it really depends on their personalities. You could give it a try.

I rescued a Coco she is very large now pear shape we is weighing in at 1256G the boy is 1009 grams she’s very active and happy always asking for food, I feed her hay vitamin rich pellets and bell peppers (she doesn’t like them very much) I’m scared for her because I don’t know her age, I am looking for an exotic pet vet, she used to live alone and then I researched that they get depressed so I adopted another piggie but it happened that she(the one I adopted after coco) wasn’t a she and coco got pregnant. I don’t want her to die because of this mistake, :( I’m scared for her, she is a big girl her nails are still pointy and translucent she does have little bold spots behind her ears.

I totally understand your concern about Coco…I too was scared when my girls got pregnant. I hope she does well and has a healthy birth and you find a piggie vet that can help. I found the vet I use from Scotty’s Animals vet list: www.scottysanimals.com/guinea-pig-vet-list
