I never really understood... I love Ariana and I love her huge hair. She looks amazing and I think it's great that she has something that makes her feel confident. But the reason why she said she started wearing it was to hide her damaged hair, but from my understanding... if you wear the same hairstyle, especially a tight high ponytail, that's also really damaging to the hair, especially the hairline. It puts a lot of stress on the hair and can cause breakage. :( And with the heavy weave it just weighs the scalp down more. I mean her real hair looks amazing too so I wish she'd sometimes let it shine!

Her natural hair is actually much healthier after this, her natural curls are back and it's past shoulder length. Remember they aren't really pulling her hair tight they're pulling the hairpiece tight. Also, Ariana has said that her weave isn't really that heavy, but these girls do have a lot of hair so of course it's gonna feel heavy for them.
I don't buy it... a ponytail is so much more damaging than having your hair out because it literally makes your hair break off from the pressure. Elastic hair ties can grip the hair too tightly and cut into the hair shaft, causing fraying when they're repeatedly used in the same spot. If she's got really damaged hair the last thing her stylist would advise is tying it up.

I don't buy it... a ponytail is so much more damaging than having your hair out because it literally makes your hair break off from the pressure. Elastic hair ties can grip the hair too tightly and cut into the hair shaft, causing fraying when they're repeatedly used in the same spot. If she's got really damaged hair the last thing her stylist would advise is tying it up.
Frankie Alice well I know in the black hair community a ponytail can be a protective style. I would hope the stylist used silicon hair ties because those aren’t very damaging
