There are intensely focused panoramic slices of Shostakovich-like brassy synth blasts, classical guitars, and blown out drums that usher in this first single; and first new music from the band in 11 years. The spin is nothing short of cinematic, and moves us through a painted world of present and past, illustrated by Kevin O’Connor’s bombastic dreamy soundscapes.
