Second visit to the Mayan Pyramid Chichén Itzá was still very impressive! This ancient Mayan city was newly built in the 5th century AD. The meaning of the Mayan word Chichén Itzá is "at the mouth of the well of the Itzá."
Here are some tips: Chichén Itzá has no shelter, so it's really hot and you can easily get heatstroke. Be sure to drink plenty of water, bring a parasol for shade, and vendors here sell souvenirs at high prices, so try to bargain as much as possible. When I bought magnets, I didn't bargain enough and later found them too expensive.
There are many tour groups to visit Chichén Itzá, so I recommend comparing prices from three different sources. You can also drive there yourself.
