no I don't have any gimbal stabilised pocket camera but young have you seen osmo action's rock steady ? its so amazing because osmo action have electronic stabilisation and it is more stable then these gimbal pocket cameras 😱
As you said, Snoppa has made a handheld gimball so they need to provide an access to every main & usefull fonction in the gimball...Improve the sound (i've made the same than you, edit my video by adding dB), it's scheduled for the next firmware..(2.02.43) Colorimetry could be better, always too reddish outside (need different white balance mode in the gimball, not only in the app), i had some sound decay too (i guess during 4K long clip...), drop frame in high fps mode(FW2.02.40 same, seems to be corrected in 2.02.43)....ruclips.net/video/oMIp0p2DOkw/видео.html
4k 50 fps doesn't work anymore in the last firmware (2.02.43) I think that they need to work hard, cause after all it's their first product in this kind;
I have osmo pocket and i contributed snoppa vmate back in Jan 20 but still didn't recieve the unit yet.
@@SETHalpine Osmo Pocket was that way for a lot of things at first. Hopefully, Snoppa will remedy this is firmware updates
I wasn’t a fan of Snoopa’s footage. The blacks are seen slightly crushed.
Also, I doubt 3rd party manufacturers are going to support every new little gimbal that comes out with ND filters and accessories. Dji (for the osmo) is a major company, so it’s a good risk to manufacture accessories for. Same for GoPro, and things like that.
Some of the other features Snoppa seem like they can be done with the others via firmware updates.
I’m content with my Osmo - and the accessories I have for it. Which is...pretty substantial for me when considering other cameras.
Also, I just got that new Ulanzi Anamorphic lens for my osmo pocket, and I love the footage! 😁
“Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t” - things you don’t want to hear about condoms, parachutes, and a gimbal camera.
Don't like the red cast on the colour - much prefer the Osmo's colour overall.
Oh yea. I can see it now. But that's just color and white balance. You have to grade that in Post anyways. That's the least important aspect when you are Pro. When not and you cannot do a full POST than..... well even then I guess most apps can color grade and alter the whitebalance
Fimi seems like the best all rounder. That thumbstick is a real plus.

Good to see Osmo get some competition FINALLY, but I still prefer my Osmo for now JUST ... I do hope V2 Osmo has major upgrades as the Fimi and Vmate has some good new features that Osmo can take on board! Great review, keep them coming!
Wish they could have include a 3,5mm audio input and a 1/4" screwmount in the body. First "mini" gimbal that will have that in body, without a adapter, will be a hit i believe. See no problem to sacrifice its small size and have a little bigger gimbal if these was include. Great review, thank you
In my honest opinion after watching this vlog, the OSMO stands top among the other two in terms or color saturation and including the mic on.

From this video, I think the Fimi is still at the top of the pile of handheld gimbal cameras, for it's wider FOV and built in joystick. I'd personally probably go osmo pocket next, then Snoppa vmate last. It just doesn't seem like it does anything better besides have a neat cell phone attachment method.
It's nice to have a pocket camera with a more natural FOV for those of us who are just going to shoot sceneries and such.
So long as you don’t film at night time.
@@1980gm9 truth. If I need to film something of quality at night, I wouldn't recommend any of these cameras though 😒 something with a sensor bigger than a kernel of corn perhaps?!😜
Daniel Traner You can get decent night vids with most phones now though. The stabilisation on these devices is really good so pity the fimi isn’t a bit better at low light.
Fimi doesn't have 4k 50/50fps... Fimi has a big FOV....which is only good if you like it, I don't like the way we perceive things with unnatural FOV, a car that goes from left to right, no longer seems proportionate to me, it's good for what is in the center ...
Young, cameras are your thing. VERY nicely done. There are a couple of questions. Do you need a cell phone with this camera? How much does the camera cost? This camera has very rich colours.

Hmmm... the footage is quite magenta. Footage appears to be better than the Fimi Palm, but I wonder how reliable the autofocus is. The Pocket, when it was newly out gave many autofocus problems and it took a long time for DJI to solve the issues.

The palm size cameras need to work alone without a mobile, or why not using the phone’s camera? for now there are lots of phone’s camera are equipped with OIS and EIS, can shoot very stable video also, the picture is much better also.
Very nice comparison of the three small camera's. They all look pretty good, but I think I like Fimi the best. Great video.
Thinking Fimi palm still has an edge over Vmate. I do like the idea of the rubber on grip though. Fimi palm did show some distortion when panning. Thanks Young, I trust your comparisons. Keep it as long as you can. Stay safe .
I have seen other reviews and the pulsing while panning is really bad. The audio is bad. They wanted me to review these cameras but the issues seem like something hard to get past. I would put DJI far ahead. Thanks keep up the good work.
Next Firmware will correct the audio problem. But they've some others problems to solve again...Balance of colors, drop frames...Sound decay...I've bought it for 175€ so i can wait a little...BUT they've have to improve it quickly now
Hi Young: You are my dream gadget Lady and you have all the top specs ! ;) In regards to the new OSMO Pocket contender (SNOPPA VMATE), the audio sounds terrible, and the OSMO Pocket wins that battle hands down. In Regards to the picture quality, again, the OSMO Pocket wins hands down ! There's something wrong with the "Knee" settings (Black Level and contrast level) in the SNOPPA. I'd like to see such an "OSMO LIKE" gimbal camera, but with a 1 " sensor behind the lense, please. :)
Very interesting, thanks for this. Audio sync seems to be all over the place - is that happening in the camera or is it something that happened in production? The Palm sometimes has that problem.
I think i didnt manually sync it correctly.....😅 where mic sound good, i was recording on mobile phone via lav mic, and tried to sync it with Vmate sound.....🙏
Great video Young, I ordered my Vmate back at the beginning of Feb but still waiting for it to be delivered, so a bit pissed at the long over waiting, with almost no communication. Your video explains exactly why I made my purchase, the company just need to honour the early backing orders.

I backed mine in November still nothing either, messaged twice about two months ago to confirm delivery details, not had anything back yet, hopefully get it soon as I backed the atom and had no problems, times are difficult all over but a bit of communication wouldn't go a miss 😂
it is good that you also showed the low-light scenes using this camera. i want one that will perform well in indoor and low-light situations.

Amazing video quality compared to Osmo and Fimi. A major improvement would be required in the field of audio section, note that there is a lot of wind noise captured, while the other two did not have it. Secondly the touch screen should be more responsive. Thanks for the great video, really enjoyed it......
@Young360 Very nice video again. I would like to know if you tried connecting an external microphone to the Fimi Palm. I can't find a lot of information about it, especially about the Fimi-base. Perhaps you know more
i tried DJI mic adaptor which doesnt work with fimi or snoppa.... but i heard that fimi should be releasing their own mic adaptor soon.....😅

Osmo pocket still :) The distortion and the lack of D-cinelike for Fimi is more than enough reason for me. And this new one is not even close..
Overall i prefer osmo Pocket, palm is looks video style, vmate is too contrasty and more purple color

I'm so glad the competition is heating up on these cameras, it forces manufacturers to do a better job if they want our business. I'm biased towards the Fimi because I just love the super wide angle. Now if only they could improve nighttime shooting....
the snoppa vmate has some creative innovations. while it lacks in certain performances it stands out with the practicality & usefulness like snapping onto a phone. the least acessories & effort it takes to get things like these up and running with a phone and also standalone is important for run and gun filming. the tech and physical simplicity should improve over time with competitors showcasing how these mini gimbals could be better than in their current state.
This camera have a very cold feel in the video but I overall like the gear what come with it. Is very cool

WOW a vry good comparison. To me this shows how good the Fimi Palm really is. Nice colors and wider view. As travelling is not in myh plan for the near future, it's not allowed anyway, I'll wait to see what improves o these pocket cameras. It seems like the coming trend. Greetings from Paraguay.

Form is dictated by function. A compact device with gimbal, screen and handle is bound to look like any other such device. Not a knock off any more than a Nikon DSLR is a knock-off of a Canon DSLR.

I use a Osmo Pocket at the moment, but when it will get damaged I take a look on the alternatives like Fimi and Snoppa. DJI is not bad but is it worth the price?

Thanks for another great video. While all three are nice in their own way, I am still very glad I chose the Osmo Pocket. Eventually though, my Osmo will need to be replaced and I am glad to see that there is plenty of competition in the palm-sized gymbal video camera market.
Now, if I could only get my 4k video to be nice and clear instead of digitized.....the struggle is real.

In your comparison the Snoppa seems to have better color than the Osmo Pocket and FIMI Palm. Another contender in the Osmo Pocket clone format is the Feiyu Pocket.
i take the one that has clean hdmi out ...someone needs to make one then it will be king of the live streams, so to all the product makers do this and you will take the dji osmo crown...the osmo colour is the best then fimi the snoppa as a good housing...keep up the good posts. we need hdmi out

i am more to fimi palm, although it doesn't have auto focus and bad low light quality. but i love the wide angle on palm.
Waiting for the Feiyu Pocket to become available but this one looks good. Still like the fact the Fimi palm has a joystick.

Fimi Palm is so wide. I try to use the Osmo Pocket as a body cam in my latest RUclips video. So fail! :p I think it would have work better with the Fimi Palm! Now I need one of that!

i was recording with either my.mobile phone or my camera. all these mini gimbal camera has type c usb slot, so u need a working mic adaptot to use it
Vmate resolution are more cold compare to Osmo and Fimi. I guess you will have to adjust the WB to bit warmish.
Put a 360 camera on it and it would be killer.
it is so easy to create something after a design....DJI made it possible and now others copy same design same specs and why not maybe make it better. But big thumbs up for DJI.

The sound is bad and the picture looks cold, coz of too much blue. Thats not an option for me. Still best quality is the DJI Pocket.

It's a tough decision because the Osmo costs more to start, and then you pay extra for the wifi dongle, the scroll wheel, the wide angle lens, and the 3.5mm mic attachment. It's not just the cost but the bulk of it as well. You can't fit the osmo back in its case with the scroll wheel on. You can't turn the camera on or off with the wide angle lens attached or it gets stuck, hitting the gimbal. From watching clips though this snoppa seems probably the worst quality film. I'm currently tempted by Fimi Palm out of all of them.
I still go for fimi palm, with joy stick and 3 angle view with super wide angle

I’d love to see all the features of the VMate (like the case) and the Fimi incorporated into the Osmo Pocket V2.0. But I’m afraid that with so much competition DJI might give up on the OP. Can the market be that big? And isn’t there a similar camera coming from Xiomi?
The Fimi Palm is made in collaboration with Xiaomi.
Feiyu Tech make their own too, but not really interesting...

Hi great video. I have the vmate and have tried various ways to record audio. All have big sync issues.
Did you record the sound separately in your video or do much post processing on sound.
yeah, i had sync issue, most of the sounds were recorded on my phone with external mic...

I want to use the footage to directly upload to social media. But we will see I guess.

Not sure about the Vmate's color science but it's bokeh and low light performance looks promising. Along with the over all quality of the video... looks pretty good. The colors look cold and audio not good at all.
