I purchased a Propain Tyee in October. It arrived last Tuesday. I can't ride until the snow melts, but I'm really looking forward to it. You were my introduction to the brand.
oh you can though. just take it out lol. i live in edmonton and sometimes you just gotta! Carbon does fine in the cold. dont worry. fat bikes are mad of it lol
Hi Remy, thanks for the great garage tour. I was most pleased to hear that I'll be seeing you on a Propain bike for another two years. I've been riding a Hugene for four years and I still don't regret it. Greetings from Bavaria and have a great Christmas
Glad to see you run the full 29 Spindrift with a 27.5 rear wheel. On a big bike like that, 445 chainstay feels a lot better than 435, especially with riders 6ft+. Dig the last gen 11 speed on the Hugene. Simple, cheap, and bulletproof unlinke 12 speed. Ekano on the shortlist of next ebike for sure.
Great video, thanks Remy. Never rode a Propain bike, but would like to one day. I’ve been riding for decades, as I’m in my mid fifties now, and really love the bikes nowadays. I’ve had everything from trial bikes to 53.5 lb DH bikes over the years and in the last decade bike geometry and suspension have really improved. Now that I’m old and still love to ride, I’ve been absolutely loving my e-bike. It’s lighter than my old DH bike and is very well balanced and shreds the trails I ride here on Vancouver Island. I know lots of riders who don’t like them, but they are usually the ones who haven’t tried them. Anyways thanks for the vid.
I just got a DVO onyx SC. I got it second for a really good deal. And it is so good. I can’t wait to use it more come bike park season and enduro racing. DVO is definitely a sleeper fork. My buddy recommended it. I love it dude

Congrats on another 2 years+ with Propain, you have done a lot of awesome work to promote the brand, and I like that you are pushing them on the mullet concept more and more. I ride a Transition Patrol mullet and love it, will look at Propain bikes next time I change my bike now that they are available in North America.
I want to try the Spindrift next time I can find a Propain demo. I was able to demo the Tyee, but It didn't fit me particularly well, especially riding it back to back with a RM Altitude and Commencal Meta SX, both of which had basically the same riding position as my Ibis Ripmo.

Hi Rémy, I also just ordered a Tyee with carbon rims. Would be interesting if you run Cushcore or something similar. Or if you treat a carbon wheel different then an aluminium one in general. Maybe different tires or air pressure etc.... I really like you content and I think you are an awesome brand ambassador. Your last comment thou about Canadians making better beer then Germans....uhhhh....that made me cringe (as a German ;-) )

Hi Remy I'm your big fun (from Italy), I love your videos and your unbeatable style and now I have to change bikes and I decided to get a Propain but I'm undecided on spindrift or tyee, so I wondered if you could give advice taking into account that I pedal a lot and I go to the bike parks twice a year and I would really like to start learning new tricks and above all making bigger jumps, thank you very much
out of my perspective the tyee is more a do it all enduro bike that is capable to climb quite ok . and the spindrift is basically a dh bike with 10mm less travel and a bit better climb capabilities . I didn’t ride both but I read lots of reviews about propain bikes so yea
I got a spindrift I really need to say its not that good for climbing but you have unlimeted fun downhill. But I think the Tyee is a better bike for you
I was laughing about your Canadian beer 😂 Come on Rémy, let’s face it, we Germans probably make the best beer in the world. But we’re very jealous about your trails especially in BC. Keep on ridin‘ bro 🤘
I think Remy is thinking of craft beers. You Germans are brewing very good traditional beers, and the Belgians too, but the craft beers in the US, and probably in Canada too, are at totally different level.
Why don't you use offset bushings on the Tyee.? I ride it with Burgtech offset bushings as a mullet and they keep the geo quite intact. But then I don't need 180mm travel, because I don't ride what you do. 😀
Is there a clear difference between the tyee and the spindrift when peddling uphill? I have a short travel trail bike, which works for most of the trails in my area (Ontario) I would like something more confident for bike parks and downhill over here and if I were to travel out to BC, etc. ultimately, I’m looking at the propane platform because I hear the propane suspension and that seat tube angle make them great peddlers and I’m hoping to get some thing that if I do travel out west and I end up doing more pedalling that I’ll be able to keep up with others that may be in trail bikes. Everybody talks about how good the Spindrift petals but would I be better off with the tyee? Like I mean if the Spindrift pedals almost as good as the tyee then why I get the tyee? So many decisions! Please help lol
Is the hugene comparable to an orbea Occam or canyon neuron? Or it's much more aggressive? The two I mentioned are fine for what riding I do, but im curious if with the. hugene I will be overbiked. Does it climb just as well?
Thx Remy. Exactly what I needed as I'm in the market for a new Spindrift CF 29. Would you take a L with a 50mm stem or a XL with 35mm stem? Its for the bikepark. I'm 6,1 (187 cm).
Hey Remy! How is the dropper post clearance on the Spindrift? One of the only complaints I've seen about Propain's bikes is the long seat tubes making it hard to fit longer droppers, so I was wondering what your experience was with that. Is it much different than the Tyee? I demoed one but wasn't able to demo a Spindrift, and I've heard the Spindrift has less clearance.
Weird question, hopefully you find time to answer. On Propain's website, the closed cabel enclosures (for those running AXS dropper or shifter) for frames arent available anymore. Do you have an idea for a workaround ?
