- Vice President Kamala Harris delivers an economic speech at an event in Raleigh, N.C. It is expected to include a proposed ban on “price gouging” in the grocery and food industries, as well as a tax credit that would provide $6,000 per child to families for the first year of a baby’s life.

When government gets involved things get really messed up. Giving out 25,000 to first time home buyers will surely make sure that homes cost more and become Out Of Reach for very many more. Housing grants should be done at the local level not the federal level

I tried to go to this rally in Raleigh, checked on the hour what time she would be here and our local news never posted it until AFTER THE FACT. Something was extremely off about this visit. They're supposed to warn the city so they can navigate traffic better..... they didn't.. they said it would be 300 ppl, now the news is saying only 100 ppl showed up but how did they even know what time to go when it wasn't posted ANYWHERE on our local and even Charlotte news channels?!?! Look at Argentina and Venezuela and the destruction of their currencies and lack of supplies. When you enforce price restriction on necessary goods, they simply switch to producing more profitable products or export to neighboring countries that will pay the price. This is very dangerous economic thinking.

@@furthermoreasmr9303 trump like that when his friends in oil companies get record profits after raising prices when it it's not even necessary and fuel/gas prices often cause everybody else to raise prices cause they claim it affects them in whatever ways including transporting the goods. They now jack up the prices on the products etc but pays less to transport the goods which hurts truckers and at the same time when labor rates gone up on repairs with high fuel prices while making less money. I hope they pay the workers more cause they're sure making large profits off everything else. I'm not sure who and how they can tackle this but it sure would make things better for working families who can't get ahead due to living off paycheck to paycheck
