This was 2 years before he died. He was total class. He wore a nice suit with a handkerchief in the pocket and a flower in the lapel. And the first thing he does when he sits down is pull out a cigarette. Even the way he smoked had a level of sophistication not seen anymore.
That name may be construed in another way too! The "great" part may have to do with JG's girth! L0L When I was younger our crowd had a gal whose nickname was The Fat One, of course bcuz she was fat. I am a bit fascinated by some celebs esp if they came outta places like Brooklyn, NY! It's probably bcuz I have a bit of an edge/attitude from my dysFUNKtional upbringing, and I can relate to people with an edge! Jackie has/had one too I'm sure!
Yes! This was a time when TV was worth watching! Something about JC that relaxes me when he is on! It's like he is family to me! It's no wonder HE is THE standard by which ALL talk show hosts are judged by! The man is a professional who does his job well! Nuff said!
There are TWO houses on Chauncey st., 328, where he was born, and 364 Chauncey where he was raised. I was just researching "The GREAT One" L0L, and some pics of him look so much like my younger bro who passed away a few years ago! Our family is also Irish descent, but we were NEVER too decent! LMBO
I went on Google Maps and looked at street views of Chauncey st. just outta curiosity. Those Brownstones with walkups are DEF derived from London Town! Early 19th century methinx?

Jackie was the best in Smokey and the Bandit.
There is a reason why the call him The Great One!

The Hustler and Papas delicate condition are my favorites.

the introduction music when Jackie comes out isn't the actual music that was played that night.
Someone needs to get in here to recite that raunchy limerick, lest it be lost to time.
L0L I'm sure that limerick will pop up some time when you LEAST expect it! :P
Comedic genius followed by a comedic letdown. "Wow I have a synthesizer!" That was so unoriginal.
Jackies house on chancey st in bed sty goes for about 600k thanks to the hipsters/yuppies
