I think the rooted hair on the non-Artisan editions look great! To my eye I can’t tell that big of a different between the plastic dreadlocks and the wool hair dreadlocks, especially with both versions having rooted hair on the sides, so not worth the extra $150 for me. Great video Chris!
There is huge differences. The whole hair is completely different, and the beads and stuff in the dreadlocks along with the ropes are way more detailed. The bandana is also real
Not true, the only differences are the bandana and dreadlocks, all the rest are exactly the same!!!
@@lucassnow4355 Have you looked at the pictures, the whole hair is different. The beads in his hair are different with the artisan. Look at the left dreads by his eyes then look at where they tied the braid by his ear. It’s different. The ropes in his braids on the right side of his face are way more detailed as they are actually roped. Even the black rope on the bottom of the dread on the left side is there when it’s not on the regular one. Screenshot the artisan and the regular, then look for yourself.
@@lucassnow4355 also the rest of the hair on top is way different look at pictures side by side. The regular one has thin hair the hair that’s not braided or dreadlocks. It’s regular hot toys hair. The artisan is wool you can see the difference in thickness and strands. As I said screen shot both and look side by side.
Looks great, there’s not a bad pirates movie but those first three are BANGERS.
yep personally i just love Gore Verbinskins domino style of shooting action especially.
Chris, great video. The collectors' version and the deluxe version figures look the same to me. The addition of the diorama is cool. But the artisan version looks to have a tiny bit more detail. What I mainly noticed was that the head scarf on the artisan version looks to be cloth. On the other two, it looks plasticy. Keep up the great work.
Aside my personal opinion The figures are Insane.

Preordered the deluxe version. Not interested in Artisan but that’s just me.
If I get one it'll be the deluxe edition, I can't justify spending that much more just for a bit of 'real' hair and a bit more material. And. If I get one, it will be my first and only hot toys figure.
Great video Chris! This is a really special figure, the rooted dreads look incredible. The deluxe and collector editions actually both have wool rooted hair, just not the rooted dreads or cloth bandana. Very cool 🔥

They are all fantastic, IMO one of Hot Toy's best. Sadly, I have spent all of my budget on the Umbra Operation Arc Trooper (scalper price). So no Captain Jack for me.

looks great but prices are out of hand for 1/6th scale, maximum should be $350 for the artisan not $510+tax+shipping.
