Thank you! For families with young kids wanting to see great marine life within 1 hour from Phuket, I would recommend Phi Phi, Raya, Khai, and Coral Islands.
Hi! Great video!! I have a young kid (9 yo old) and me/wife get seasick a bit. What would be best place with calm, clear water, very easy to snorkel and lots of fish to watch? (coral optional). From your video - perhaps "Coral island"? or Racha Reya?
Either Coral Island or Khai Island would suit you. Short travel time, good clear water and an easy spot to snorkel either from the beach or the boat.

During that time of year Phi Phi or Koh Ha would be the places to dive.

Ok for the island formations for sure Phang Nga Bay, nothing better than that.
Snorkeling you have a few options. Racha / Coral / Mai Ton all good options. Early departures will help you.

Great video! I'm coming the last week of February. My goals would be to be in the clearest waters possible so I can see more colors. Also, I want to avoid jellyfish stings....and tips?
Certainly would recommend Mai Ton / Coral / Racha as good spots for what you are looking for. As to jelly fish we all wear rash vests and that protects from most of them.

If you're looking for beautiful house reefs for continuous snorkeling, the best islands to consider are Phi Phi, Raya, Similan (which has just reopened), and Khai. Each of these locations offers stunning underwater experiences that you can enjoy all day long!

How far is the Surin Islands from your place as I heard it is a beautiful place for snorkeling…..what do you think?
It is about 2.5hrs, quite far to be honest.
Headed in November and want to see a manta ray, some turtles and beautiful scenery outside of the water :-) hope to see you then!

We would need to make a recommendation a little closer once we see the exact forecast but generally speaking coral and mai ton would be good.

Either Coral or Khai Islands would be the best place to learn to snorkel. There are both shallow and deep water options there.

Hey, heading to Phuket during end of Dec 2024 with my friend. I love to snorkel and would love to see a variety of marine life but my friend is a non-swimmer but would also like to join.
(Also considering Dec is peak season, any way we can avoid the crowd?)

hi, me and my friends are going to phuket for the 2nd time on February 2024 and we would love to go snorkelling where have clear/beautiful water and beautiful corals and lots of marines life! would you pls recommend!!! ps we dont want to go to island where have beautiful water but cannot snorkel like maya or monkey island.

Hi there, thanks for the video ! We are interested in a snorkel tour to a mostly untouched location with diverse marine life and based on the video this could be Similan Islands and Koh Haa.
However, we are really interested in snorkeling. We do not want to climb rocks for selfies. We do not want to sit on a beach for lunch or do hikes on the island. But this included in every itinerary
We would love to explore the underwater world!

As our tours are private tours, the itinerary is 100% flexible. If you dont want beaches, then just tell your guide and we will cut them out. By the sound of it you would like a 100% snorkeling focused tour. As I said as a private tour this is possible.

For free diving generally we would go to Koh Doc Mai or Raya. From the Beach maybe Kata Noi?

We see them regularly at Similan. Occasionally at Mai Ton or Racha / Raya.

There’s a lot of snorkeling spot in Phuket. I can recommend Khai Island, Coral Island and Racha Island :)
Hi I’m planning to go to Phuket in July I would like to see some nice soft corals and turtles and sharks if possible also clown fish for my kids I’ll be with two kids I think 1 hour one way on the boat will be best distance posse recommend something not to crowded
