Hi Lori❣ I love all these ideas and I love the banners in the window looks fabulous. Love the modge podge idea with the iron, brilliant. Thank you for sharing, big hugs 🥰🍁
Never attempted an altered book….I definitely need to. Book pages are all beautiful. Thank you for sharing and the printed list. Giving/sharing is a great way to use up what you have and show different ideas. Blessings and ❤
Hello 🩵 I encourage you to give it a try (altering a book) - it feels good to give new life to something old. And maybe it will become a treasure… 😉🩵 Or maybe it’ll be the process that captures you… 🤷♀️ Thank you for watching and sharing this adventure - I wish you happy crafting! (My hands are all white-stained with gesso - from altering a bunch of books to make art journals for next week’s video. How do you feel about messy fingers when you’re crafting? Any tips? )
I'm so glad! - thank you so much for watching. It’s a deeply satisfying thing to do and even more importantly, something joyful to look back on… 🩵 Happy crafting!
I was JUST looking thru a couple of my vintage children’s books yesterday- appreciating the pages color, font, pictures, layout…. I kept thinking….🤔how can I honor these treasures?
Oh, yes! Agreed - we love the books and want them to be a part of our lives… and sometimes altering a book is the perfect way to make it even more special! I’m working on a set of children’s books this week and finding myself “keeping” the pages I love open and viewable and others that are not as precious are made into something new. It’s a wonderfully freeing process! Happy crafting!
Hi! Thank you for the ideas. You can also iron-glue with clingfilm instead of modepodge. It’s very simple and fast, and you don’t have to wait the modepodge to dry.
Oh, that’s exciting!!! Thank you for commenting - as I gesso the next books I’m working on, I’ve been planning on what to include! Anything in particular you’d be interested in? I think I’m going to include a “prepared but naked” altered book and stuff to put in it…
I love these wonderful ideas! I never thought of making a keepsake journal, I’m going to make one for Christmas for my family. Thank you! ❤
I enjoy your videos. A giveaway would be lovely!
Your ideas are amazing. I would love a giveaway ❤

What paper do you use to iron ?
It’s dollar tree (inexpensive) parchment paper - I’m just protecting my iron.
@@PositiveThanksLiving I am definitely trying this. Iron setting? Low?
@@arteybibliabybecky3633- I actually had it on a higher setting… but my table was very protected and parchment paper on both sides is imperative.
