I like the theory that Blackbeard's whole purpose in gathering a powerful crew is to exacerbate their most powerful or useful traits so that he can eventually consume them using the Dark-Dark fruit and make himself a near-invincible monstrosity. If this is the case, the perfect foil would be Luffy taking power from his willing crewmates. A true fight between cooperative freedom and manipulative slavery. Also Luffy destroying important structures goes as far back as Axe-Hand Morgan's statue so it's been a fun pattern that could've been foreshadowing all along.
cool theory, Blackbeard's plan to consume his crewmates' powers for his own strength would create an interesting contrast with Luffy's cooperative and willing crew. And you're right, Luffy's tendency to destroy important structures has been a recurring pattern since early on. It could indeed be a form of foreshadowing.
What makes that theory even more impactful is the fact that if Brook were to give up his power, he would die. It would be a perfect way to end his arc after meeting with Laboon one more time. Sacrifice for the Dawn of the World
I think with the point of gear 5 a nightmare Luffy form wouldn’t be needed cuz he can “do anything” already. I think Luffy will be able to maintain the form longer the more he uses it like the other forms
I don't think this shadow theory will play out but I do think Luffy will need something from other people to strengthen him more. The recent chapter with Kuma imo tells me that maybe if people sing and dance to Nika's heart that Luffy will get stronger. Luffy got himself back up after losing steam in his fight with Kaido by remembering the beat. If the people sang and danced as Luffy fights he could theoretically use Gear 5th far longer.
To add some seasoning to this pot, imagine that giant world wide party that luffy wants to have if the whole world partied, ate meat, and danced to his song around the fire luffy would be unbeatable
@@Deebus This idea actually creates a symbiotic relationship. Luffy attracts others, friend or foe to his side, these people dance to his beat which empowers Luffy and the cycle continues
That would be a nice thing and it would make sense/work, everywhere luffy has gone he’s freed people- and not to make himself a hero or to look good, but because he felt he needed too
Love this idea- I think we see this foreshadowed in nika’s silhouette. The silhouette is holding a sword and spear which are the weapons of luffy’s first two crew mates- zoro and nami. Gear 5 luffy using all his crew mates powers would be absolutely insane
I'm betting on a retrofit haki power of collective will. Luffy has been powered up by the will of everyone he has befriended. More than "everyone is counting on me! I must punch the face harder!", luffy is literally getting powered up throughout the entire story. Toshi Yujin or something 😂
Random thought: Saturn has a Perona like ability where he can summon a replica of himself that doesn’t take damage. His real body is still on the ship.
Take a moment to imagine if a powerful swordsman like Mihawk or Zoro were to get their hands on the shadow fruit, they would be effortlessly severing shadows from countless enemies.
I think Luffys last transformation has sth to do with souls. It would be a cool parallel: Shadows were filled with anger and dispear (because they lost their original body) and souls are filled with hopes and dreams. We learned in skypia that they believe that part of their soul live in trees. We thought this was just ridiculous. But through vegapunk we found out that souls definitely play an important role in one piece. I could see a scenario where the crews finds a place where a lot of souls are and brook (through his Df) gives luffy these souls as a power up. So it’s not nightmare luffy but dream luffy. Hopes and dreams never die could also be connected to souls
Personally my theory is that imu ate the Hito hito no mi model ananke(greek god of slavery) and that he has mastered his awakenening to the point here using it is normal for him hence why he always has red eyes. I also think this is why they protect the world nobles because they perpetuate slavery and constriction.
The prime of most characters is when they are aged around 50 years. So I believe The last powerup will be with Bonnie's powers where she will send Luffy to his prime adult form. Adult Sun God Nika with perfect Haki control
Not a good idea cause that's too instant and defeat the whole narative of Luffy being stronger with pure strength and willpower, also even after brought to his prime age, he still doesn't get the experience of those skipped years, unlike any real strong characters like Garp, Roger, Whitebeard, etc. It's better for the story if Luffy just realize what his DF actually is and starting to think any Luffy-ish powerups he could think of, maybe creating any elements out of thin air, becoming any character he wanted to be, making bunch of tools or weapons out of nothing also, etc. Idk maybe he can even created many clones of himself.
You deserve so much more subscribers tho. Your channel is refreshing in the OP game because everyone too famous just exaggerates and has not the rational yet way more interesting approach you take
I have a headcanon that joyboy try to fight alone agains the Gorosei and imu and lost, which inverted luffy will use the help of everyone he can to defeat imu. Showing that he uses other people strengths to push forward so if luffy uses the shadows of his crew that would work in some way
The Seraphim for Moria may be called S-Bat Gecko Moria’s name is a pun on Komori which is the Japanese word for bat. He does have both bat and lizard themed attacks so it could be either.
The “WiFi haki” (Shanks to GreenBull situation ). I believe that is exactly what Saturn did to the lower Marine. Just GreenBull is very strong and it was nearly how Sanji responded.
Hey Daks, you should really look into Carl Jung's ideas of integrating the shadow , I do believe that is exactly what is happening when characters are using Haki. It would be a requirement for anyone becoming a conqueror of any sorts.
Have you guys heard about the Marajós island? It was the home of the Marajoara tribe, believed to be an advanced civilization from a long time ago. Seems interesting that they took advantage of the elevated terrain to build their capital city just like Marie Geoise
Oh honestly I didn’t really read your comment I assumed you were a boy because I thought you spelled marie jois wrong multiple times but you were referring to other places it appears. I’m sorry.
I don’t think there will be a greater form. One piece is about the adventure itself and your crew and having fun with them. I think Oda is deliberately not make the main character be the strongest but having his insane crew be the key (maybe that’s why Joyboy failed). Oda already tries very hard to not make one piece a basic fighting shonen so I don’t think he will make the most obvious shonen thing after only now revealing gear 5
I think that the whole concept is here is amazing, but I think that this is even better when you compare it to what Luffy says in the arlong park ark about not being able to use a sword, or cook or even lie. It would be the fulfillment of that problem
I like the idea of luffy using they abilities of his crew to make himself stronger but I don't think it will be through their shadows I can't of a specific way this would happen but he has to touch them or something then he'll get access to they abilities and experience of those abilities and that way he's be able to mimic even their devil fruit abilities but as his version. Kinda like how deku from mha trained to use his quirks while mimicing their own quirks like using black whip from his mouth like froppy uses her tongue. So like luffy span multiple arms like robin to do a extra powerful gum gum gatiling. Also I think the way luffy will train his stamina will be to constantly maintain gear 5 so that his body can get used to it like it did with gear 3. If he does this then he should be able to stay in gear 5 for much longer plus his abilities in base should increase as well since he would be able to control the beat of his heart better and he should be able to adjust the beat enough to control it without actually using gear 5
The shadow idea seems fun. I think that Blackbeard's fight will resolve around souls. Blackbeard being a jailer of souls. So i can see Luffy using shadows as a substitute. For Imu i think her powers are emotion based. So it would be Luffy's happiness vs Imu's despair and selfloathing.
I love this theory, but I think that dream form for gear 5 is probably more realistic so that he is more of a counter to Imu. In addition, I would add that thrillar bark and the shadow concept was introduced early into the story and close to where one piece where one piece was supposed to end at first. In terms of which shadow, I think he could somehow have Ace's shadow and also possibly Sabo's because they both have the flame fruit and he has the sun god fruit which could allow him to use sun powers.
Could imu maybe have stolen Joyboy’s essence/shadow/haki? Anything of that sort. They keep the hat in that freezer vault, but what else could they have taken
Man the idea of luffy losing his shadow again, getting put in jail/breaking out with nightmare and fighting into the dawn knowing it will kill him and it's left up in the air if his friends won their fight in time to get luffys shadow back, we just are left with the person luffy was fighting defeated and luffy gone like Jesus leaving the tomb type beat
I was legit typing out how the shadows would be a fun callback to the spirit bomb, specifically the one that killed kid Buu. And you said it right when I finished typing it 😂 I think it would be very dope
We might have already seen this during Luffy's fight with Kaido. Gear 5th allowed him to grab lightning, as you said, and you even speculated about shadow Luffy using her knowledge: what if that's what we already saw on Wano? It wasn't said explicitly but Nami never gave up on Luffy, and stood up to Kaido. What if that is just how it works? Whatever he believes people can do, he believes he can do. Nami controls lightning, he controls lightning. It also fits his fighting style - he takes inspiration from things like weapons, animals, stories, etc.
when you mentioned the juxtaposition of the chapter names of 479 and 1044, i subtracted 479 from 1044 and found that these two chapters are 565 chapters apart from one another, and we know that the gomu gomu no mi's name is a number pun, specifically of 5 and 6 (gomu go???). oda is sick for this, he can't keep getting away with it
The title of episode 344 in Thriller Bark is "Feast of the Zombie's Song: The Night Hunt's Bell is the Sound of Darkness". I know it's not in the manga titles but it does seem pretty relevant now. Calling it "The Hunt" especially after last chapter. W Vid Dak
I believe the pentagram summoning was an extension Of Imu’s power. It’s super reminiscent of what Blackbeards power looks like when he uses his Liberation move where he summons/expels people/objects out of his darkness. I assume Imu has a similar power with FAR higher range and has a pentagram because of the Yokai theme.
I think it would be more interesting if Luffy could bring back his nightmare form but not because of Moria's power, but rather simply from having experienced it already. All the knowledge and abilities from his nightmare form could still be dormant inside him and he simply forgot about it. So I would call his Gear 5 nightmare form "Gear 5: Nightmare Memories" or something like that.
Great video, imo I think luffy will get a goku like energy boost from his friends and crew mates. Seeing that kuma danced and his entire race knew the drums. I think a magnitude of people playing the drums will allow luffy to pull off some spirit bomb type shit
Cool video, always enjoy hearing your Content. I Don't think Nightmare Luffy will make a comeback, but its Funny how Luffy crushes the Dreams of his Enemies and becomes their Nightmare..!! Lol Be Safe and Stay Blessed...!!! 💯🙏
What if Luffy gets the shadows of all of the members of his crew and uses all of their abilities in a big fight? It could be how he gets the upper hand against Blackbeard, since Blackbeard wields multiple devil fruit powers that he stole Luffy could use people's abilities that were given to him freely to beat him!
I think crocodile used his devil fruit to make the drought even being foreshadowed by ace arriving on drum they said it was the only time it didn't snow hence why as soon as he was defeated and at the same time vivi screams into the sky it rains
I also think there is a subset of power in one piece. Im not sure if st. Saturn's power is related to his df. I think there are other untapped powers that are used by people that even transcend people like Rodger, wb and garp. I would love to find out that there are people behind the scenes that hold power greater than the "strongest in the world" Edit: the elite in the world could even have a greater understanding of power and have somehow tapped into the what actually gives df their power. a way to, "get it from the source".
Hey, we never thought about it but why did toki immediately tell such a big secret that she was born 800 years ago from the void century to the white beard’s crew
I agree with the theory of the shadows representing someone's will. But I believe oda is just foreshadowing something to us(no pun intended). When we first see luffy pose as joyboy hes infront of the sun and we just see the cast of his shadow. When he jumps up and poses infront of the sun his shadow would cast around the whole area he's in ingulfing everyone else's shadow. Due to him being closer to the sun his shadow overpowers anyone's below him. (Though I believe he will have an ability that represents this hand and hand) I think this is a reference to his influence in the end game. Once luffy defeats all of the evil in the world piece world, his influence/shadow/will shall ingulf everyone under the sun.
i think he'll be able to absorb souls/dreams/prayers from the people and that'll give him strength and abilities, just how dbz genkidama works. you can tell nika's not at its peak by noticing he's missing his sword and spear still.
The emperor in the old republic of star wars gained obscene power by absorbing the life force of an entire planet. This gave him untold force power and longevity, leaving behind a void in the force
My theory is for this joi boi to win against the government is : Kuma will spread the truth on all the continents so the whole world will know the truth of the government and imu, then the whole world would worship nika and for luffy to get a power up the whole world would dance n play the drums of liberation so luffy could keep gear 5 and get a huge power up.
I think the nighmare luffy form will be an allusion to some future form where he literally carries the wills of everyone who has been wrongged by the world government as a literal power up, by some sort of mechanism.
video suggestion - what if the goresei is actually a pirate crew that defeated the ancient kingdom/ sungod nikas crew since there accturally just joyboys friends like luffy hes just friends with the kingdom thats why its called the ancient kingdom.
While i don't think they'll be shadows, i think Gear 5 being able to tap into the power of others to enchance his own would make sense given the character developed and worldbuilding around it
Another piece of evidence that suggests luffy might destroy the red line is shyarly’s prediction in the luffy will destroy fish man island which would happen if he destroyed the red line. This also might cause the fishmen to have to live on the surface where then over time they become hated less.
You do realize it’s not necessary for Luffy to acquire Jimbe’s shadow in order to use Fishman karate, right? I can’t remember her name, but that normal chick in the revolutionary armour learned Fishman karate from Hack. It may be called Fishman karate, but it’s not limited to just Fishman learning it.

Luffy is completely and utterly convinced that afros give you a borderline unfair boost in power. G5 afro man is going to go absolutely insane 😭
lmao he'll need it for the final fight against Shanks during their davy back fight XD
Afros are like devil fruits they have their own will
Luffy's afro is the antithesis to zoro's enma. Both have wills of their own but operate opposite.
Then how will he land the final blow to Imu's face if the strawhat can't fit on the afro? D:
luffy's belief in the power of afros is hilarious and G5 afro man would be a force to reckon with.

I would love to find out that there are people behind the scenes that hold power greater than the "strongest in the world"
Edit: the elite in the world could even have a greater understanding of power and have somehow tapped into the what actually gives df their power. a way to, "get it from the source".
you're definitely on the right track!

Hey, we never thought about it but why did toki immediately tell such a big secret that she was born 800 years ago from the void century to the white beard’s crew
Thumbnail looks really cool NGL
Hold on let Oda Cook 🔥🙌
i think he'll be able to absorb souls/dreams/prayers from the people and that'll give him strength and abilities, just how dbz genkidama works.
you can tell nika's not at its peak by noticing he's missing his sword and spear still.
The emperor in the old republic of star wars gained obscene power by absorbing the life force of an entire planet. This gave him untold force power and longevity, leaving behind a void in the force
You say “juxtaposition” more in one video than I’ve heard in the rest of my life
it would be great if you come out of this shadow fetish of yours , its same old concept.. and at this point its becoming cringe
My theory is for this joi boi to win against the government is :
Kuma will spread the truth on all the continents so the whole world will know the truth of the government and imu, then the whole world would worship nika and for luffy to get a power up the whole world would dance n play the drums of liberation so luffy could keep gear 5 and get a huge power up.
I think the nighmare luffy form will be an allusion to some future form where he literally carries the wills of everyone who has been wrongged by the world government as a literal power up, by some sort of mechanism.
maybe, the fish-man steroids, came from Imu, they give someone a fraction of his power, but without his immortality, a mortal can't handle (too many).
😮 so maybe Imu IS the void century (100 years worth of shadows in one “person”)
…Or every inhabitant of the ancient kingdom
Blackbeard gona pull up on egghead right as Rocks pulls up in the god valley flashback 💪
video suggestion - what if the goresei is actually a pirate crew that defeated the ancient kingdom/ sungod nikas crew since there accturally just joyboys friends like luffy hes just friends with the kingdom thats why its called the ancient kingdom.
While i don't think they'll be shadows, i think Gear 5 being able to tap into the power of others to enchance his own would make sense given the character developed and worldbuilding around it
Lol i dont see nightmare luffy coming back. Cool video though.
Another piece of evidence that suggests luffy might destroy the red line is shyarly’s prediction in the luffy will destroy fish man island which would happen if he destroyed the red line. This also might cause the fishmen to have to live on the surface where then over time they become hated less.
I know when Dak hasnt posted for a month he’s cooking something serious
Cracked idea: pirate docking was foreshadowing to luffy becoming giant and the rest of the crew and piloting him like a megazord 😂
Yes please 💀
This brings the power of friendship trope to a whole new level. You could also say shogun franky might of foreshadowed this 🤔
To add on to your theory and a way he can apply it is What if luffy can use his toon force to pull his and others shadows right off the ground
Nightmare Luffy wasn't G4 foreshadowing. It was *Dream Luffy* foreshadowing o.O
"this is one of my favorite mobile games out right now" LMFAO
Why is that funny? I am legitimately in Masters rank in that game lol
I would say it's fair to argue that Nightmare Luffy could be just as strong as Gear 5 by itself we don't really know how strong Oars is
Sounds good. Approved. -Satisfied
