Good effort. I did it 2 days ago, and I’m still sore!. The Whernside descent and Ingleborough ascent were the toughest for me

Hi, I did Whernside last year and i noticed someone posting it was " hell on earth walking up there " . I found it a nice walk and not too taxing. I'm not too fussed about doing all three peaks in one day at 73 years old but I did see one guy at the summit that had done two and was on his last legs. To be honest I think I might do the reverse of your walk this spring, up to the peak of Pen-y-ghent. I think it would suit me better it seems a longer walk but a bit more gradual. Coming from Norfolk it's difficult to find hills to train on so the old legs take a hit on the first walk of the day. But hey we only live once.

I was surprised how well maintained the paths were when I went around. Best wishes to you and your channel. I've put up a fell running comedy on RUclips if you would care to give it a listen. Best wishes to you and your channel.

Thank you, will check it out! YDNPA have invested a lot in these paths over the past few years, just as well as the route is more popular every year!

When I did this in 2020 (vlog on my channel) we tackled Whernside last, and you're right its punishing, that steady gradient up from the viaduct is nothing short of hell on Earth, it seemed endless

Always the worst! I always say that if you can make it up Whernside (when you do it 2nd), you're going to make it around okay!

Great video, I notice you did it unassisted, how much water did you carry with you or did you refill along the way?

Hi Kev, thank you! It depends on the weather and your own body but I take 3 litres minimum on a normal day (plus another 2 litres if leading a group). There is also a refill tap (and snack machines!) in the campsite between Whernside and Ingleborough.

Hi buddy, looks like you had the whole path to yourself , did you meet anybody else of the trail ? 😅

I saw very few. I was out very early, so one of the first ones in the route that day, and it helps to do it on a weekday

@@mountainboardroom8272 I’ve just booked myself to do it end of August, part of a group.
      Looking forward to it 😎

Great video. Can i ask how much food you carried with you?

Sorry for the late reply! I carried too much actually - carbs for the start and more snacks (cereal bars, sweets, fruit) towards the end. I try to eat on the go on this one. You probably want to have a decent 'snack' for each peak (and there is often a food van at Ribblehead)

Hello. I'm doing the 3 peaks for the first time in 2 weeks. I have never done it before and I was wondering if the route is well sign posted.
