Thank you! I just purchased the with two batteries and the ecoflow panel. As a newbie to this type of energy I found your video was very helpful and informative! Thanks for taking the time!
I have the two battery version. My plan this year is to finish the install with the disconnect panel so that in case if a power outage I can run one of my two tri-fuel generators on natural gas to charge up the batteries in 3 hours a day. Next year will be solar panels. I plan to install 5000 watts and run the transfer panel off solar and battery. This way I set the Ultra to recharge from grid - or generator - at 30% and whatever solar I use will save on the electric bill. Year three I will expand to a third battery and more solar. I do not plan to go fully off grid I just refuse to accept the Power company's 64% rate increase in 2023.
Great video and great explanation of things. I broke down and spent money I couldn't afford and purchased a Delta Pro Ultra with 1 battery. Your spot on with the customer service and unusual hours of emails from Ecoflow. I too had issues with that. Email tag is an understatement. They require so much information I found myself constantly repeating issues/complaints and it was stressful to say the least. For a high end product and a high price here in Canada I expected better and faster service and an english speaking person via telephone should be a priority for Ecoflow but the loss in dialogue with phone calls was almost unbearable. Thanks for sharing, Peace
I heard from another reviewer's video, that you get that tablet, you dont have to connect them to internet, you'll be able to see al the data/graph history using bluetooth
can make this setup a lot less complex by having a mts without the sub panel, just switch from grid to generator and flip off the circuits for non critical circuits
Good morning, and great job walking us through your set up! I will be setting up almost the exact same array using the same Aptos panels... Why did you choose to use a 30amp breaker for the 10 Aptos panels in Series? I thought that a 20amp was the correct size for Series wiring with those panels. 11.24amps x 1.56 (safety factor) = 17.56vdc. Then rounding up, I would have thought a 20amp breaker for your "high voltage" side array would be the right size. Your thoughts??
Very very informative and helpful. We are in KS and I am hoping to find a knowlegable electrican to install this system for home back up. The thing is we are all electric including hot water and heat/ac. We have two circuit panels with 100 amp service coming into each box. So it may be interesting to see how an electrician can finagle it to work for us and help us to know how many batteries we need with the inverter. Thank you again for such a wonderful video. God bless and glad the hurricane left you in good shape!
I don't know. I compared the electric bill this month with the 2023 bill and I have saved over $100 on this bill. I run my house offgrid about 12 hrs a day now.
BTW, I have 2 DPU's along with the Smart Home Panel 2 and pulling in about 10,000 watts via 2 HV's and 2 LV strings. Also my system is approx 70kw since I have 2 of the Delta Pro's also with the double voltage hub. :-)
Thank you for sharing the info. I have a similar set-up but have gone back and forth with Ecoflow tec service and the electrician. They have such a market on accessories that work with the inverter. Having to buy these extras after the fact. Your experience and trouble shooting has helped a lot. Thanks again.
Yes, and you can buy thow Walmart as well if you have their app. But then you're. Also, paying for the Walmart charges for selling it for them as well, which is not very much. But I but like something like a certain percentage
What do I need before? This video starts out tie. I need 6 of those generators with all the batteries. You get a 180 kW. Slightly more. Get 1 get 6 days a power after 3 weeks and a 1/2 of no sun, at least I get 6 days in the park, but I should also get the 4 Delta pros. Cause that'll give me another 2 days of power. Send Delta pro or select me that way. I mean, it was short to me that way before the evening came up with the Delta pro ultra. I would have to buy their hubs to make it to go for 50 amps. But then I think I should get 3 I guess a different kind of station. Generate generation blue Eddie's AC 500 get 2 of those that make another they have power data. Half a power get the gender where they sit and in a ad 3 of those zenders together for some special, which is the first came app with a couple years going to talk about it, get all their batteries. Anna. That will be another week of power. Cause I'd be well actually that'd be an actual week of pollute 7 days. That would be power at 30 kilos a day. That's one complete week That gives me 2 weeks plus that 2 days plus that other day, it's 2 and a 1/2 weeks. I just need no one more weeks of live stations to make the power for when we have the worst time in winter which doesn't happen ever. You would do but I want it for when it's the worst winter of the year, the worst time of the year anyways. Yes, I like this one I like this generator I want 6 of those. With four of their hubs , so I can hook up the four delta pros to it
You did an OUTSTANDING job!!
Thank you
This is such a great example of how to do this. Kind of jealous at how confident you sound after putting this all together. So inspiring.
Glad you enjoyed it!
By far the most helpful and informative video that I've watched on this unit.
@@KentMcPhersonI try and show what I want to see and know about the system.

I am glad it helped you.
This was very informative and the product list with links is great too!

Extremely cool setup! Loved the way you explained it.

Thanks for the great video!
Wonderful video. Very informative. You do a great job of explaining and making it so simple that even I can understand it. Thank you.

Add EcoFlow delta pro ultra extra 2 add battery good idea
Great grandma but where is a grandpa handy dandy hands?😀😀
LOL no comment.
Great video. I have pretty much the same setup. Minus the hub. What does the hub do? I plugged the transfer switch up to the front of the inverter.
The hub is 50amp and matches the 50amp transfer switch. The hub also allows you to connect two inverters to the transfer switch.
Please show more test it out on RUclips video
Thanks🎉
NEC doesnt allow for panel to be installed upside down... the on position should be up, and off should be down per code.. right?

Peace of mind
the hub does not give you 50amps unless you plug in two ecoflow ultra inverter
Why was the transfer switch installed upside down?
Idiot electrician, lol.

Have you tested if (when two inverters are connected via the 50a hub) connecting solar input on one inverter will charge the other inverter?
Each inverter needs to have it's own solar array connected to it to charge the batteries that are connected to that inverter.
Im also curious, now that you've had it a while... have you cut your utility bill down quite a bit?
@@unijabnx2000 yes very much, I am doing a video update very soon!
Hi, I have a question?, where did you buy the brackets? Which company. Thank you . Also breakers switch for high and low voltage.
I have links in the description.

Are the panels grounded?
yes
Any specific reason why the electrician installed the transfer switch upside down?
He was an idiot, I replaced him lol.

I have a video about it, eg4 bright mount. You can purchase from signature solar.

Of course. Didn't try it cost 17500 bucks for one generating a 100% of its batteries. Those 5 batteries go with it for 30820 watts
Absolute garbage! Why!!!
