EL SALVADOR VLOG - 72 Hours in San Salvador

  • Heyyy guys! My sister and I took a quick trip to El Salvador to relax and get some sun. This flight was only 4 hours, which flew by! It could be because we were both extremely exhausted and used the time to "attempt" to sleep. I've been to most of Central America, but this was my first time visiting San Salvador. As far as safety goes, I don't think this is somewhere I'd recommend for a female solo traveler.
If you've visited here before, let me know what you thought of it! I'm curious to hearing your experience, drop it in the comments. And don't forget to subscribe :)

Ubers are all over San Salvador (where your hotel was at) at all hours. But it’s like a known thing that there aren’t many Ubers at all in surf city after dark.. People usually stay in the hotels near there and get car services through them!

El Salvador is the most safest country in the world right now. I think we should be worry about the high crime here in the US…. Come back again and stay more time. We love having your back Johnny boy for Miami peace out.

Uber service in the beach area are few and hard to catch. What I've done before is get the uber driver phone# or kind of pre-arrange with the Uber driver or cab driver to come and get me at a certain time, that's how I've resolved that issue. It's easier to find uber during the day.

They wanted pictures with, becouse in El salvador there is no black people like in Guatemala, mexico, honduras, costa rica and Nicaragua, there's a history why no black people there, but that was long time ago ,its history. Just chill out and enjoy your good time, and by the way, you are both pretty girls

El Salvador is very insular, you don’t find any Black folks in the country. If you do, they will be immigrants from Honduras, Nicaragüa, or a foreigner from Canada or States. Many people in El Salvador have only seen Black folks in movies. El Salvador had small community of black folks from colonial times (smaller than neighbors). The population of black slaves was freed upon independence (1821) and… then the country banned emigration and settlement of Africans from Central America and Caribbean into the country. Give it 200 years of Nationhood, several thousands European immigrants and Middle East immigrants… and voila, you have a 80% Mestizo population of Native Americans and Europeans, a 12% European and 7-8 of Pure Natives. The last census gave a 0.03% of Salvadoreans who believe they had “some African blood”.

You really should research the history and culture of a country before you visit it and ignorantly judge it. El Salvador has no black people so when they see one they look cool. That's why they wanted a picture. Gosh damn
