Wembley Stargazers or Tampere Stargazers? Both have merit and are fun to watch and listen to.
Emppu said that a good song should have at least three guitar solos.
PS Nightwish fans live by the rule - nobody, especially said fan's family and friends, should live without an opportunity to find out about Nightwish and their vast song catalogue. Good for you to share the experience with your mum.

I hope your mom loved it as much as you did! I'm glad you chose a video that has all of Floor's talk to the audience, I find that a great measure of a band or artist is in how they interact with the public on stage, and here clearly they turned a break for the band into something very interactive, both funny and energizing and sweet.
Speaking of energy, Stargazers is so full of that indeed, it feels like it could be the soundtrack to some great sci-fi show or movie! It reminds me of some Star One songs :) Thanks for another lovely reaction!

Arch Enemy is a swedish melodic death metalband from Halmstad. They have has different singers. The current one is Alissa White-Gluz and the Singer before was Angela Gassow who is manage the band. You should check them out. Alissa together with Elize Ryd from Amaranthe helped Nightwish out when Anette left the band. There is a documentary on YT called please learn the set list in 24 hours.

Great reaction Stanzi. Indeed this is a old one, back to the 'Oceanborn' album when they were figuring out Tarja's vocal style and changing their sound accordingly. Only Tuomas and Emppu are left from the artists who created the song, this one is certainly a fan favorite.
If you mean "performed", then yes :) With the exception of "Sacrament of Wilderness", which he co-wrote with Empuu, and "Walking in the Air", which is a cover song, Toumas wrote the entire "Oceanborn" album, both music and lyrics :)
Nightwish can always surprise us, at the moment partly because of Floor as the leadsinger. Your mother stayed in the kitchen or was she also pleasant surprised and ran into your room. Stay healthy dear lady.
No she was in the garden by the time I was done recording. But I played it to her and she was very happily surprised too. She likes (as do we all) the variations and changes that Nightwish create within one single song/score! And loves Floor's voice - but who among us don't love that!?

Meadows of Heaven is a good song to check out with Annette. It fits her style perfectly. I would recommend the studio version. Annette didn’t come across live as well as Tarja or Floor.
A suggestion:
Tuomas Holopainen "A Lifetime of Adventure" from Tuomas' long time, 14 years, dream solo album (2014) inspired by "The Life and Times of Scrooge" by Don Rosa the storyteller and duck illustrator. Don Rosa is in the video drawing. Vocals by Johanna Kurkela, now Mrs. Holopainen. I think Tuomas and Johanna met in 2009 and got married in 2017.

Hi Constanza! Really nice to see this song reaction from you, it's one of the older NW songs, i think from the Ozeanborne Album 1997 or 1998 with Tarja, i like that song very much. This is also a nice live version but i like this song from the "Tampere 2015" conzert more, they play more exact, she sings more exact and better to understand, if you have time look it, i'm 100% sure you also would like the other live version more. "Ozeanborne" was the first Album i'd buy, together with "Angels falls first", the first NW album. You really don't know Arch Enemy? If you have time look the video of the song "We will rise" (the album version not an live version first time) than you know who they are. 😉 They have many good songs but this was the first song i hear of them. The lead singer Alyssa White-Gluz has an unbelivible voice, she's an absolute power horse and she is really beautuful. When i hear that song first time i thought the singer was a men! This was a nice new perspektive today, i like it. I wish you an nice evening, bye!
Have you seen the newest release Powerwolf did for 'Demons Are A Girls Best Friend', they reversed the song and Alissa sings it completely.

And of course, Alyssa White-Gluz (then from the Agonist) with Elize Ryd (from Amaranthe) were famously the stand-ins (from Kamelot, Nightwish's support band, who they were both appearing with as touring guest vocalists) for Anette Olzon on September 28th 2012 in Denver, the night before Anette's last show with Nightwish in Salt Lake City, so her connection with Nightwish goes back even further than Floor's (by a couple of days). They even set a standard for learning a setlist, as it was a mere 55 minutes from being asked to step up to them going on stage! In that case, it was not the originally intended setlist and drew heavily on what they already (at least partly) knew, and they used lyric sheets, but I think the way it is described as a debacle by so many is extremely unfair, and it was actually more of a miracle that they were able to pull off a show that satisfied the fans under such circumstances.

When u have done Wembley are u doing Tampere as well? I like some songs like This one more at Tampere version of the song more than Wembley but thats only my opinion
I thought I liked the Tampere version best but now I think Wembley is better lol. Its just great that we have both.

Tarja tune oceanborn Tuomas is a master composer. And writes music to include all instruments including the vocalist this song was meant for tarja and you should react to that Tuomas also wrote songs for Annette's voice as well for floors voice
Track 1 of the first NW album I've heard, I still remember it was a big shock to hear Tarja huge operati voice with the power metal instrumentals.
They have escaped that style long ago but still a great song

I will, eventually, get round to do that too! The hardest thing about weekly reactions is finding the patience to only listen to one Nightwish song and concert at a time... so it's a slow process. But is there a specific performance with Tarja singing this song you'd like me to react to? Let me know and I'll ad it to my list of suggestions.
