Bloody hell! You and your father work so hard. Farming, as you say. Never stops. And yes the summer, hot weather creates its own challenges. Yes longest day approaches. Charlie is a top dog! 👍👍
With all of the sheep you had in that barn during lambing, can see why it got so dirty with straw and dung. Thank goodness for the gator and the power washer to make the cleanup a little easier. It is a shame you can't space out the rain as in the Spring in were completely drenched with water and now it's very dry. When your dad was saying they used a bucket for the sheep hoofs before the baths that must have been very challenging. Seems like they would constantly dump the buckets over.
Great video! I grew up on a farm in Missouri in the USA. I remember even as kids we were always worried about when it would rain. Hope rains stop missing you. See you have one of Camys shirts (Sheep Game).
@@sheepshepherd It was 360 Acres. We raised cattle and pigs. Pigs were so much work, I remember we got rid of them 3 times but ended going back three times as they were steady money. With cattle one time of year you had revenue. With pigs it was steady money. With the cattle, calves would be born Feb and March. You would wean after Halloween and they were then sold. Most times they ended up in Iowa as they grew corn like crazy and finished off calves in feed lots.
you have a lot of work on your farm. Is it just the two of you? We have always had border collies. Ours don't do sheep. we're in the U.S.A. we have a horse farm. we only have one border collie now. she's young year and a half. hard to teach her without another one or two to show her what to do. But I know moving animals and then having to clean the whole place is almost impossible alone. We have boarding and people expect perfection. All need to go out in different fields, that's the dogs job and bring them back and put them in the right stalls. Also she helps with certain chores around the property. I really admire you and your ability to do what you do. We all have work to do, but sometimes that dog can help a lot more than we think. This comment is really for the video where the dog was messing up at the office. I laughed at it but I know how it is when they are out to lunch so to speak. Sometimes they think they know best. Sometimes they might, but not like mine does sometimes. good luck. I love watching your videos, look forward to the next one.
Thanks Susie, ya it's just my dad and I, we farm here in the south of Ireland in the mountains. Ya it's very tough to train the dog without another good dog to show it. We have 3 other dogs but they are not good dogs. They all have very bad habbits
Do you disinfect your sheep floor stalls after taking the hay out? Is it possible to put a handle on the trowel your dad is using between the slats? Great job Just a wife that enjoys your videos. The sheep game is good, and Sandy 11:4411:4411:4411:4411:44 the "old man's" trowel that he is trying to clear out the nasty poop and such? Do you watch Sandy Brock, and The sheep game?
Ya I started watching them a few weeks back. They are great farmers, yes we disinfect all the sheds once cleaned out. Ya we have a big handle one, but it was left in another farm.👍👍
Sheep farming has to be one of the hardest jobs going You and your dad work so hard Cleaning the sheep sheds that was a big job and the two of you made a great job of it I liked the title of the video 😂😂 Looking forward to seeing next one

😂😂 your dad is funny...you love hard work..so cool farmers dont get half paid for all the hard work they do......love the videos..how often do you give the lambs cobalt. We give that too
The drinkers you have in the lambing pens, what way are they done do they have a ball cock in them or do they hold enough water just to be filled every so often ? Thanks
I was thinking a bungey cord net might help at worst maybe have a backpack of foot spray and emergency on field kit while going to check up on stock away from home farm?

@@johnjones3848 I think it might be over a euro a lamb here..I'd be very interested in trying it out this year on lambs.
