This is my Physical Metallurgy Teacher. Initially I found the teaching pace a little slow. But having overcome my impatience, I came to love the teacher.
Never thought that someone will make this easy to learn Material Science ....Thank You very much sir its so intresting to learn from you ...This is the second time i am going through your lecture series.
The last sequence was wrong completely. Because it wasn't even a hexagonal 2-D arrangement. i.e the co-ordination number was 4 instead of 6. Please correct me if I am wrong.
oranges ABC ABC as in the second layer atoms are placed in centroid of inverted triangles and third layer it is placed in centroid of upright triangle Laddu is AB AB the mistake is found in HCP as the crystal axis are perpendicular to each other and it has to be tilted to 120 degree
Mistake is in fig no - 3. Because as told by sir in HCP structure it should be made up of hexagonal P lattice, . . . . . . . But in fig 3 it's different. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I always thought that CCP and FCC are the same things, as both have 4 atoms per unit cell... where-ever there are atoms at the face centre fcc and ccp both terms were used by people. No one told the basic difference between them. As one is crystal str. (CCP) and other lattice (FCC).
oranges = ABA Laddoos = Simple cubic packing in fig; a) It is a simple cubic packing. b) It is ACBACB cubic closed packing crystal (If the spheres are identical which don't seem) C) It is not a hexagonal packing as it is a square layer which is closely packed with another above it. Please let me know the answers?
b seems ABAB (HCP), c seems Tetragonal I (i.e. body centered Tetragonal); Oranges are ABAB and laddu seems Tetragonal I; correct me if m wrong please...
Orange is a ABAB stacking as the orange in the first layer is exactly above the middle orange of 3rd layer. Ladoos are neither ABAB nor ABCABC as if we see the packing in 2dimension it is not a dense packing or coordination no. is 4 in 2d. In 3rd one, C option hcp's 2d diagram is a mistake it is not dense packing or coordination number is 4. Sir I request you to post the correct answers.
•Oranges = ABAB •Laddoos = not having hexagonal closed pack layer instead a square layer( not closed pack) in abab sequence. •C is wrong. Is this correct ?
In my prospective both are ABAB First layer of the last fig is not closely packed hexagonal layer....SO that is where the fault lies.... Any correction is always welcomed 🙂
Sir since all are oranges and no other item is added in between them it's simply only AAA.... And even it's same wrt laadu because there is only laadu and no other item is added in between them.... Plz any one crct me if I'm wrong
Its not the ladoo or orange its the position that decides stacking here. See that oranges are placed in voids of previous layer and 3rd layer is at same pt as 1st so it is ABAB

Good Teacher, I like his patience and his sharing. His explanation is very clear and helpful.
The last sequence was wrong completely. Because it wasn't even a hexagonal 2-D arrangement. i.e the co-ordination number was 4 instead of 6. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Correct
Correct, as it was square planar 2d and stacking was done in ABAB sequence.
oranges ABC ABC as in the second layer atoms are placed in centroid of inverted triangles and third layer it is placed in centroid of upright triangle
Laddu is AB AB
the mistake is found in HCP as the crystal axis are perpendicular to each other and it has to be tilted to 120 degree
Oranges 🍊 = ABAB {hcp}
Laddoos 🥯 = square planar 2d and stacking in ABAB arrangement
Last Question = NOT Hcp bcoz basic 2d arrangement is square planar.
I agree.
oranges are abcabc ccp packing because third layer atoms are placed in inverted triangles like my comment if u agree
Mistake is in fig no - 3.
Because as told by sir in HCP structure it should be made up of hexagonal P lattice,

But in fig 3 it's different.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
After watching this video my 3 year old doubt about FCC and CCP is cleared...
Just curious as to what was your doubt?

@@prashantbisht9700 Thanks. Best wishes.
Thanks a lot sir.
Oranges ABCABC
Ladoos ABAB
C is wrong
Mistake : In hexagonal packing, we must have a 2D hexagonal layer, it is not the case in the shown figure
wow
I learnt this in 12 th standard .
But today i understood reality
oranges are ABCABC ,while the sweet shop is ABAB
Sir can you please post the answer for the question since, there are not many reliable comments. Thank you sir.
oranges = ABA
Laddoos = Simple cubic packing
in fig;
a) It is a simple cubic packing.
b) It is ACBACB cubic closed packing crystal (If the spheres are identical which don't seem)
C) It is not a hexagonal packing as it is a square layer which is closely packed with another above it.
Please let me know the answers?
How are you concluding Laddoos as simple cubic if it is not even a closed packed crystal, has only 4 neighbours.
@@DeepakKumar-yo7xd Exactly.. I also think that ladoos are not either of ABAB or ABC
b seems ABAB (HCP), c seems Tetragonal I (i.e. body centered Tetragonal);
Oranges are ABAB and laddu seems Tetragonal I; correct me if m wrong please...
Oranges are ABABAB..
Orange is a ABAB stacking as the orange in the first layer is exactly above the middle orange of 3rd layer. Best explaination
For FCC,the atoms at the centre of faces are not lattices of a unit cell,right?
•Oranges = ABAB
•Laddoos = not having hexagonal closed pack layer instead a square layer( not closed pack) in abab sequence.
•C is wrong.
Is this correct ?
Everytimes he brings another companies laptops.
Sir, can you please confirm the stacking sequences of laddoos?
I guess ABAB TYPE .... SO It's hcp crystal
@@Ssaurav6725 its not hcp
Because the base is not in hexagon
@@surendar-psgct6080 yeah its ab ab technically but not hcp
Both are ABC
In my prospective both are ABAB
First layer of the last fig is not closely packed hexagonal layer....SO that is where the fault lies....
Any correction is always welcomed 🙂
orange are arranged in ab ab ab hcp
What about voids in ccp,?

Oranges = ABA
Laddus = ...ABCABC...
option b and c are vice-versa
How laddus are abc abc? Please explain
@@ShuvamNayak because they are too sweet

Its not the ladoo or orange its the position that decides stacking here.
See that oranges are placed in voids of previous layer and 3rd layer is at same pt as 1st so it is ABAB
Both examples are ABAB STOCKINGS
sir please post the answer of laddu and oranges
😂
answerded by someone already i i agree with it.
Oranges ABCABC
Ladoos ABAB
C is wrong
ABC ABC
Could you please explain?
