Hi Sue and Noel, I live in Australia, and, so, I'm used to coping with kids and the heat. Some friendly, and hopefully, helpful tips for your next holiday: all kids, at least, should wear full-brimmed sunhats (Shading your neck really helps), and sunglasses, too, are a good idea (make sure they are approved by the suncancer foundation); sandals-not shoes and socks (for little kids the sandals that fasten on are best). You can buy "neck-ties" that keep you cool. They are filled with silica (?) and you wet them and put them in the fridge overnight. To keep them cool, you can just take a container of ice-water for just that purpose, or if you're somewhere like the zoo, just wet them in the sprinklers. (My mum used one when she visited outback Australia and she said it really made a huge difference.) You can also buy" personal" sized misting-fans that the older kids might like to use. Shorts and T-shirts would be cooler for the girls, although their dresses are very pretty. I hope these ideas are usefulfor your next holiday. We are just coming into spring (next week) and already we are having temps. in the low 20's. It's bound to be a long, hat summer! We really only have two seasons here lol summer and winter - even winter sometimes forgets who it is and mimics summer!

Put something wrapped in a tea towel like ice or frozen peas it will help with the swelling also ibuprofen for inflammation,hope it sorts it out for you noel x
I’ve been to the Miami zoo many times while visiting family in Miami. It is a beautiful zoo. I know how hot is in August and I just melted at the zoo! But you’re correct in they have a lot of shady areas and water features to help cool down. Miami is my favorite place to vacation. It’s so beautiful there. I’m sure you’re home already but if you haven’t been to a place called Vizcaya, it’s a must. It’s so beautiful. We also went to the keys frequently since they are so close. Key West being a favorite but there many smaller keys that are great also. It makes my heart happy to see kids happy and yours were happy! I like that they are allowed to be just curious kids. Lovely video, brought back many happy memories.
Gail here, I was walking barefoot and looked down and saw a rattle snake . They are all over The South USA. My grandfather 50 years or so ago had a whole string with the rattle part on a string from some he had killed.
Casper is such a sweet lovely intelligent boy. I love all your children of course. With their funny personalities. Katie is so kind to her siblings. Such a lovely older sister. Those smallest children are v fortunate to have such good older siblings. Especially Katie. 😍

If you ever decide to bring your family to New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, you must take the children to the Audubon zoo and the insectarium. Kids will love it.
I'm sure it was deserted because of the heat that day. Also, the children are returning to school from summer vacation. I'm so glad that you all enjoyed it!❤
Since it's so hot even the locals don't go out to visit the zoo. If you waited for a cooler day the zoo would be packed and all the animals would be out and active. All my children loved playing in their splash park there in the middle of the zoo to stay cool
When my mother was a little girl she would ride on the big sea turtles at the beach after they laid their eggs. Can’t do that anymore. Love that you are having fun ❤❤❤
