I watched the movie for the first time yesterday. And I loved it ❤ but also I cried...Some people hate the movie and the acting but I think it's a good film even when is painful, and Madonna and Rupert were gorgeous ❤
OMG I wasn't expecting for that ending. I thought it was supposed to be comedy 😭💔

Such a beautiful movie it was....I must say it's Rupert Everett's one of the best movies, whatever he says, he acted really well, comment ably well.
Lovely work from the DP and lighting people. Madonna has a knock with kids. She acts naturally with them.

I showed this film to my grandparents (former theatrical actors). They called Madonna a very good actress, especially in the 2nd part of the movie. Madonna is very funny in real life but she overacts in the Comedy films. Madge looks much better in more serious roles. I really love this movie, it was sad rather than funny. I'm in minority but I find "The Next Best Thing" a very good & underrated film!!!

Even if the film was legaly a remake of "never without my..." and it destroyed all the rights of that "gay" as father. It had some good moments like this one at 42:00 Stay, don't stay, love you, hate you.
