His videos highlight a very unique and highly skillful trade that has been around for thousands of years, especially during and in times of war. Knowing your materials, how to process them, and how to create from a source is hardly without its own efforts and talent forged out of his desire to create. Besides, most militaries have a youngest / eldest age limits. Not everyone is called to take up arms if it isn't necessary to do so.

I am speculating here, but I suspect it might actually be "liquid paper", aka White-Out™. Still though, same method of application as hydrodipping, and indeed a *_brilliant_* idea! _("faux-Damascus" as I called it in another comment haha)_

So far, I think Dmytri has shown like 10.000 differente tecniques since the beginning! Increasingly amazing ones at that... Those blooming flowers teas are the perfect match for the no talk/only forging style. Which, at least imho, is the waaaay best to enjoy your art. Fabulous job as always 👍

@RissaFirecat he literally did though. At the end when he applied the etching agent (still a normal step in making Damascus normally) he didn't apply it consistently but in a random pattern making the Damascus look more Damascus-y.
@@RissaFirecatLiterally what he did. Used a mask for the etching process because the steel in this case isn't a folded chaotic pattern of two different steels. And yeah what do you expect? RUclips blacksmiths don't make metal, they make content.

Hydro dipping is the process, not the medium, people.

With only one kind of metal, I wouldn't think you'd be able to get any sort of natural pattern. The paint masking approach was... interesting :)
