- I purposely bought this Swiss Gear Backpack, so I can hold two laptops at the same time, and I am very impressed. In fact, there have been times I held three laptops in this bad boy! Don't ask!

The backpack is made of a combination of fabric and polyester, and it holds great! It has enough cushion to set it on the floor without much impact on my gear.
It also has two water bottle pockets which I use constantly. Actually, I use one pocket for a water bottle and the other for my tripod (it has a strap to hold it down pretty well).
It boasts an easy-access laptop compartment (side entry) but to be honest, both laptop entrances are easy to access.

Thanks. I just noticed that. Woohoo! I want to do more reviews but finding time is hard. By the way, this bag has been treating me right for months now. I load it up solid too. No issues at all. Only thing I recommend is getting another bag for cord organizing. I have like 10 cords floating around always in this bag and I can't seem to find a permanent place for them. Probably my fault because I am scatter brained and always looking to throw things in bag quick without thinking.
I've had the backpack for a few months and use it every single day for work and school. Still holding strong. Love it.
do know if it would be sturdy enough to fit a ps4 (original), a laptop and the games/ appliances (power bricks cords, etc.) in the lap top compartment, like one going in the strapped part, and the other going where he put the original.

Probably the best review of a backpack I've ever seen. It not only showed me a clear shot of how big the bag is, it gave some perspective on how to organize the backpack. I think I may buy one for myself. (Hey, and if I don't, I still learned some organization skills.) Thank you so much!

I just got one. I use it for my NINTENDO SWITCH, STEAM DECK, and Laptop. Plus power cords and all that good stuff
I like that bag so much, very roomy and nice looking too, I usually load it with groceries and walk home from a grocery store

I think this is the newer model of the one I have. The main difference is that this one completely folds down. Which is perfect for traveling through TSA.
The SwissGear backpack I have has been by far the most durable backpack I have ever owned. Before I owned it, I had to purchase a new backpack every single year because they would tear. So I must be harder on my backpacks because of the weight of my books. I typically carried 10lbs in books alone. The bag is starting to tear so I want a replacement.

Thanks. It's always nice to see what it's like full of things. I just traveled on airline with it today. Didn't try the hassle free laptop scan thing. But the ease of taking out laptop was nice.

+Mark Gingrass I love this thing! I love the fact that it holds my Apple 17 inch laptop as well. The amount of pockets is perfect. So many places to place things. Sometimes I forget where I put something. Great bag!! Again, you did a great job in describing the bag.
Great review. I was looking for a video that would show me pretty much the weight capacity of this backpack. I love it for bike riding all that was a little big but I like the fact that I can put several items in it. And again great job simple to the point good video
My biggest complaint is how loud the zippers clang when I walk with it. Guess that just mean they are industrial strength!

I recently lost a zipper but I'm telling you, u bear the living hell out of mine. I stuff it to the brim almost daily and travel at same time. It still works because it has dual zippers.

I believe what you thought was a half divider inside was actually made to fold down onto the bottom of that pocket to make it sit flat and open.

I've been shopping for a new backpack. I currently have an LL Bean and I just went on a trip with it. My shoulders were very sore and I know school is coming up, so I found this backpack and this was the first review. It is very helpful and well detailed. My little 11 in laptop will hold fine and if I got an I pad it would work. Thank you so much!

+turkayy Nothing beats actually seeing things come out of the bag in real time! Easier to assess how much room there really is. I used it to fly to Boston from Oklahoma CIty and was impressed at the airport too.

Yes. I would recommend something for all the cords and accessories. Like a bag within a bag type of deal. Should carry it all no problem. I've had this bag for months and I use it HARD and everything still holds up. No zipper issues or anything. Still glad I chose this one.

+Mark Gingrass Nice review. Do you think the main laptop compartment (inside the mesh) would fit an laptop that is 15" x 12"? It's the new Alienware 15 R3, and my biggest problem with finding a good bag is the width (12") of this beast.
Also, is there a pass-through on the bag to attach to a luggage handle?

Great review. Two questions: 1. Is the bottom of the bag padded? 2. Does the bag stand-up or does is tend to fall over? I can see in the video it's partially tilted but wasn't sure. Thank you.
It stands up for me. Not a lot of padding on bottom. Doesn't seem to bother me at all though. Just can't drop it on floor. You could make a make shift coushing for it maybe.

I just bought a Scan Smart from Target yesterday. No tags included. We agreed on a $71 price found online. This might have been an older model. No carabiner in front, lots of pockets. There is a cable in the back compartment with a pocket for a uSB connector to plug into a power bank. I cant find the other end! Help!

By far the best review of the bag so far :I have made up my mind to order this; just need to know if this is 1900 or 1923 and what's major difference between the 2? Maybe, you can throw light on that.
This is the 1900 series. Sorry I don't know the difference. Bought from eBags on Amazon for $64.99 prime.

what about bottom padding ... if i put it on normal ground .. will the laptops touch the ground ?? i am having that problem for my present backpack ... it seems like it has low bottom padding.

Good question. I will do a thorough review of padding later on. I set my bag down a lot but I'm careful with it. Didn't notice an issue but I'll look at it later and let you know.
Bottom padding is not so great. However, plenty of room for adding your own. I would not make that a deal breaker at all. I have a 17 inch laptop and there's plenty of room to add padding if needed. I set bag down carefully usually and don't need to bother. You can easily put some padding there and not even feel a difference space wise.

Will this hold a ps4 pro and controllers and a nintendo switch plus clothes all at the same time?
Definitely will. I mean depends on how many clothes but I pack trips all the time and have plenty of room. I'm always carrying two laptops, an extra screen and a bunch of peripherals.
The storage place for my second laptop is also good for folded clothes to keep from not getting wrinkled.

are the zippers YKK?
I don't know. They are strong and have never giving me an issue. Even after years of abuse. The only complaint is that they are loud when they clank against each other. I wish there was a rubber cover or something over them.

I have read in Amazon Alienware 17 R4 won't fit. So far I haven't found other mention about it.

Well, as I have seen the problem with the newest Alienware 17 R4 is this laptop is slightly wider in order to have a slim body but with a efficient exhaust area.
Old Alienware 17: 48.46 mm x 299.00 mm x 413.56 mm
New Alienware 17: 29.99 mm x 332.00 mm x 424.00 mm
I bought a ScanFast Checkpoint Friendly Backpack 2.0 My Alienware R4 (lastes version) fits on the laptop compartment... but not in the Checkpoint Friendly pouch. I don't know if Swissgear 1900 will fit my Alienware. Thanks for your time.

Easily yes. My Toshiba is 17'' and it fits easy.
