Honest question, how important is front facing camera on a foldable? Can't you just flip it around to take a selfie using the outer screen + main camera? If not, then why not? I feel like this should be one of the advantages of a phone like this.
I think it is more for video chats. So if you are using it in flex mode talking to an important client with maybe some notes on the bottom half, then having a good inner display camera is vital so as not to make you look cheap to your client. As for the front display, if you are a vlogger, then you may not want the phone fully open all the time so having an excellent front camera means that you can do this well. Hi Kevin, If you really like a big external screen, just BUY PIXEL 8 PRO or S23 ULTRA or IPHONE 15 PRO MAX. SAMSUNG chose to have the outside screen skinny, as MAJORITY of regular users (not tech nerds) wants a small foldable phone when it’s close, then big when it is OPEN. So, having a big outside and inside defeats the purpose of what it is intended to do, period.
I have those phones lol. Im discuss my personal experiences while talking about my preferences. I can love a device that isn’t the best device for me but I can see who it’s for. Thanks for watch
I absolutely agree. All this "to narrow" outside screen drama looks overblown to me. I am using Galaxy Z Fold 3 from the day one and never had such a problem. Love that OnePlus includes a power brick. But how can the OnePlus be "the better phone" when it doesn't have wireless charging, it has IPX4 (which for today's standard is terrible), and the durability seems extremely questionable compared to other foldables.
The Galaxy Fold 1-4 has many issues; just check the internet and it is too early for the Fold 5 to know if that will be as bad. So I am not sure you understand that all folds will be much less durable than candy bar phones? For most, IPX4 is sufficient, that is, good enough for out in the rain. Even Samsung will tell you not to use the Fold 5 in water as it only protects the internals via a water-resistant coating; it is not waterproofed per se.

Bro you didn't even mention 40% of Samsung One ui. You were clearly too busy to show OnePlus as a better foldable. Which is not true 😂😂If you were a big RUclipsr I would have told that it's a paid review. But as you are a small RUclipsr OnePlus did not buy you. So I am considering you as an OnePlus fanboy or an apple fanboy 😂😂😂
He completely skipped UI comparison 😂
That's the power of One UI 💯
Why did OnePlus make the back of the green phone glass if they aren't giving it wireless charging? Should have used a more durable material.
One thing you didn't mention is the OnePlus only allows 3 apps max when multi tasking. That's limiting for power users like me.
You use 3 apps at the same time for extended periods?
@@bodyemcal Yes, I do. I use chrome for my CRM (multiple tabs) side by side with Google meet (or zoom) for the main windows. I then have Gmail, JustCall (dialer to text and call clients), Google Calendar all on floating pages. I also have RUclips floating so when I need to take a break. This is my mobile setup when meeting clients online almost everyday.
EDIT: This is the perfect mobile phone for power users and I ended the day calling clients (video and voice), sending text messages, sending emails, setting appointments, and watching YT and playing some games, and the phone ended with 34% battery by 9PM.
@@bodyemcal
1. He said he is a power user
2. He wants a foldable phone so he needs it for multitasking
3. Read #1 and 2 again
@Gurenn83 i know, doofus. Im questioning his usage because if u have so much crap open on the phone, your windows are small and barely usable. Wouldn't you rather use a pc or maybe even a tablet if you are truly a power user.
@@bodyemcal If you read my post properly, I specifically mention this is my mobile setup. Meaning I use this when I'm out and about. I don't need a laptop (why lug around a big bag when I can just have this in my pocket). It's not small at all. You can't picture it because you don't have a fold and have never used it the way I do. The windows aren't small when you can expand them from bubbles as needed. I'll probably post a video on my YT channel showing how it works, so people have something visual to see how things work.
I will still go for Samsung ❤ Because Samsung folds are now on another level
Man lits of "extra" acting about having to open the ZFold to do anything such as typing. But that was never a problem when the Open wasnt announced nor in your hands right?!
Anyone notice the youtube video when open the huge black border top snd bottom bars on the Open vs the ZFold?! All that screen space wasted.
Z Fold 5 kills the stabilixation video.
Oneplus open 😎
Z fold 5 👑
Why rocking your head side to side that much while talking???
Oneplus open is better than the zfold 5 there is no comp
Samsung software way better and OnePlus favorite contact list won't work at all.
Hi Kevin,
If you really like a big external screen, just BUY PIXEL 8 PRO or S23 ULTRA or IPHONE 15 PRO MAX.
Outside screen for quick tasks and inside for work. Oh, and by the way by work, I mean something else than working with clips for YT more like watching dwg files

Yap!
They don't use their COMMON SENSE, but their FEELINGS, that's the world we are living in.
Automobiles have different sizes, designs, seat arrangements, etc..... for different FUNCTIONS, but they want to put ALL those features into ONE.
People, WAKE the F UP!
Did samsung pay you to do this comparison? Because even the blind can see that one plus open is far better than fold 5
I picked the open over the fold. Why would they pay for that? 😂 but go off.
I'm going to try the Open but suspect I'll keep my Pixel Fold. We'll see...
The OnePlus Open is the clear winner, Sansung is totally beaten !
SQUAD
ONE UI ❤
One plus design is better, z fold 5 has better software and features. Next year the fold 6 ultra will take the crown
Biased review
Thx for watching and commenting I appreciate it. 😎
Samsung is always better
I used to think that until I tried to get my fold 4 repaired and they point blank refused even though the hinge had clearly failed. They wanted to charge me £550 instead of doing it under warranty so I bought one plus open now in its place. Samsung are the new apple
@@jamiehunter3567So you think that a company with a smaller market presence will offer a better experience when it comes to repairs and warranty? You're probably in for a rude awakening.
@crossfire8944 have you ever dealt with one plus repair procedures at any time at all ??? My guess is no so how would you know ANYTHING about it ???
@jamiehunter3567 Why assume that I haven't? A company that undercuts some of its major competition in terms of pricing, but also has some decent hardware and software has to make a compromise somewhere, and generally, that'll include quality control and customer service.
@crossfire8944 but I'm actually correct you haven't had any dealings with one plus that's pretty obvious ! So why comment on my personal situation with samsung when your just guessing 🤔 another keyboard time waster making comment on something they don't have the first clue about !! Have a nice day though 😀😀👍
Wtf OPEN name is that haha so cringe
Here i was thinking $800 😅hell no $1,700 for a oneplus 😅😂😂😂🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️& they are not giving people everything like wireless charging 😂😂🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Samsung is King 🤴 of foldable..💪🏼💯✌🏻
You are crazy to think that a better fold like the OnePlus Open would be $800, that is bordering on gibberish! Samsung is not King, far from it. It is an aged poorly-designed phone with subpar batteries and cameras that is >$1800 for the 512GB model and almost a rip-off!
Shut up Bot
i actually dont like either. i saved some cash and got the fold experience for 400$ for a zfold 3. your not missing anything, save your cash.
