For all new breeders, try using a black play pen and not a kiddy pool it’s more calming for your mother’s and pup’s rather than a kiddy pool 😉 (Make sure it has a top)

Well I love the videos of all the babies. I love watching you do your routine. I am not a breeder or a doodle owner. I miss the puppy stage in my dogs and just get my "fix" from watching you. I love your organization skills and love how much love you put into your program, mommas and babies. Thanks for having me over, I am glad it is all going so well for ya'll. :) I secretly would love a doodle it's just not in the cards for us right now. I have too many furries as it is right now. LOL But, we love our babies. If I move to live on a farm or get a bigger house then maybe. Oh and have more money, that too. LOL

What do you use for heating the nursery beds? I’ve seen You change the mat so I don’t think you have a heat mat I there. Is there heat tape in the pig rail?
We don’t have heaters. The house is set to a nice temp.
With over 3.3M innocent dogs sitting in shelters in the US, with MANY more homeless, it boggles the mind that this is about celebrating bringing more puppies into the world. Yes, I am sure to receive a lot of backlash for this comment, BUT I will always speak on behalf of the innocent.
Not everyone wants a shelter dog. Not everyone is equipped to handle shelter dogs or dogs that previously lived on the streets. And the really good shelters who are focused on finding the best homes can be expensive or have requirements that don't work. For example, I went to our local spca to see about meeting a dog on their site. He was still available, approx 2yrs old standard poodle. But was denied because our fence isn't a 6 ft privacy fence and our kid is under 12. After talking to the shelter staff, I understood why those are requirements for that particular dog but then how do we get the dog we want? Find a reputable breeder. Or hope that a poodle puppy comes available at a shelter within a reasonable distance.
And we aren't spending 15k or more to upgrade our perfectly good (and only 2 yr old) fence so we meet the requirements of the local shelters.
At least this family loves each pup and does what they can to find loving homes for their dogs. The momma dogs are well loved.
I agree there are a need, but we only breed what we know we can sell. We would never add to the population without the demand.
On average 670 000 dogs are euthanized yearly in the us.

I know this might be confusing, but if you want to start a business do you have to stick to one type of dog to breed?
No, we like to just focus on one but I know a lot of breeders that do a variety
Are your doodles registered with golden doodle registry/Assiciation or designer kennel club or other registry?
Do you see a benefit to being registered?
Do you provide registry or generational/family tree info for pups/sires/dams? If so how many generations back to you go?
Is there documentation for DNA testing furnishings/recessive genes for optimal coat? If so is that provided to new families with new pups?

We are not apart of GANA, they haven’t offered anything we specifically need. So the desire isn’t there.
How many times you breed the females?
4 if all goes well.
How do you do your guardian home? Do they pay for the puppy or given for free?
They pay 500$ and then get paid 250$ per puppy.

I would message them directly. But I imagine if you have the money to pay for a round-trip flight to the UK it could be arranged.
Do you know of any restrictions for bringing dogs into the UK? I think there’s a quarantine time period. But yes I think we could arrange it. It would be the cost of two tickets.
I like that you treat your dogs so well and do everything right except for the fact that they are doodles… I wish y’all would breed something more ethical
Well hopefully maybe after good breeders make doodles more consistent you’ll feel different? Every breed that is new started out some where ya know? But I really appreciate the comment .
@@DoodlesofNC yeah maybe if they become an actual breed and had standards to breed towards - I know there are some people trying to get them recognized as their own breed by the AKC - at least that way they will have a standard- I mean there are poor bred dogs of almost every breed so I guess in the long run it wouldn’t really matter anyways - just hate the people who treat any dogs as a cash crop and not as the amazing creatures they are. Sorry for my comment I’ve just seen alot of neurotic, overly nervous, or aggressive doodles

I know I'm becoming a pain, but seriously, what was the true reason you chose to start breeding dogs? You're a PT, you both have full time jobs, good salaries, young children and a gorgeous large house. I checked your videos, can't seem to find it. Breeding dogs just because it's fun, cute to see puppies, the kids get to experience puppies, etc, please enlighten me.
We started breeding because people loved Bella so much. It was in the beginning for fun. Then we became more educated and excited about creating good doodles to make other families happy. Our doodles are not like others, they are well behaved, and very beautiful. And consistent. That is key with all breeds, bringing out their best features and being able to consistently do that. Which we can. I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving and next holidays
@@DoodlesofNC My 2 havanese are the best behaved, friendliest dogs in our area and the best groomed aswell, we get stares from EVERYONE regarding their coats. Also because of them at least 2 neighbors suggested havanese to their friends, little dogs are better for seniors too.
I couldn't still justify becoming a breeder, no space, no financial safety net, I'm retired in a tiny house, even with my medical background, not a good enough reason. Even our breeder/rescuers have trouble making ends meet, they charge too little for purebred, registered dogs, only way they survive is by offering daycare, boarding and grooming. That along with the havanese rescue and showing their dogs. This pandemic has really made a mess of everything.
You do a very good job raising your puppies, I applaud you for that.

They can actually!! So we use air filters to help drown out noises. And they get used to it a few days after new babies are born.

Lovely set up for the mommies and the pups. That was a huge financial undertaking.
I am surprised though that you don't mention how you match up families (maybe you did in a previous video) with the puppies in regards to the individual personalities of the puppies. I know my breeder who had a client that already had 1 havanese looking for a 2nd from same breeder was adamant to get 1 specific pup, was warned might be too much dog, well, you guessed it, was returned.
Also I cringe when I hear potential owners, with no previous dog experience, ask for a specific colour🤦♀️ In the equestrian world there is a saying ' a good horse is never of a bad colour.'
And in my case, with my 2 bonded rehomed hav, where the female was traumatized by the male of the household, every 6 months she is still changing, from the petrified skinny shy dog to the welcoming, cuddling dog she is today.
We guide our families to a chose, but they on the end have then final decision. We don’t pair them.

I love your videos!!! We had a labradoodle named Champ. He was a skinny 99 pound black labradoodle. So tall you could pet him without bending over. He had to leave us at 12 years and 5 months of age. He was so smart and such a sweet heart. Probably how I found your you tube channel. I am so impressed with how well you take care of all dogs and puppies at your home. I have 2 labs right now. I wish they had the best starts in life that your pups get. Am curious on your opinions on adult dog food. Perhaps you can offer your thoughts. Again congrats to your family on such a great channel.

Hello! I found out about yak cheese from y’all but after letting my dogs chew on them for a few days i have to say that it smells like cigarette butts and makes the dogs have smokers breath! Did i get a bad batch or do you find that too?
