It is normal for extrusion when the molten aluminum is cooled by the water. This is a slip form method which is almost continuous. There is another way to mold with aluminum which has a premade cavity in a mold that needs to be filled if the desired shape is to take form. Take an aluminum engine for example.
Well, I wouldn't exactly call casting the same as extrusion. What you're referring to is what casting in most foundry do, and it's more similar to ingot casting than things like continuous casting or this round extrusion.
@@SandLion this is a casting, NOT an extrusion. this is Technology stolen from a US company. Before Wagstaff created the vertical slip casting technology, almost everyone would cast into a mold.
Rolands J, when aluminium is heated to between 720 and 760 Celsius it radiates heat in the red light colour spectrum. If you continue to heat aluminium to 780 it looks cherry red and 800 salmon pink 820 deep orange etc...
Obviously safety first in that cast house throwing scrap in a molten metal furnace i hope that they know something about inserting wet or corroded scrap in liquid metals LOL
That piano honestly made me feel like everything is going to be ok
No degassing unit only a ceramic foam filter that's why it is made in China quality
you are wrong, they were using FLUX in furnace, and they used the ingot which is 97% Al, just ceramic foam filter is enough.
How do you get refine aluminium from other impurities?
very interesting video,
great to see how long billets are made.
I did not know that you could extrude molten aluminum using a slip form method. Very precise work for it to turn out well.
So this isn't normal? How does molten metal usually extruded then?

Would love to see emission controls on this unit...if any..
How to buy this aluminium

Music disaster
Health and safety fail l worked in a Foundry doing exactly this for four years
if they throw the ingots well inside the oven they will break the refractory
The safety protocols followed thouout this video are appalling. Starting will the lady with the purse standing on the charghing platform.
why is it red at 4:30?

cause the tempreture there is upto to 780 degree
I feel so bad for the men who work here
that doesn't look like a bad place to work at all
Don't worry about them. Trump promised to bring these jobs back to America.

My nam is fazal wahab
what are we doing. so wrong.
Lol c'est du tout venant....
