Congrats on 100th episode. This is one of the few channels I still watch for true crime. Very professional and also personalizes the stories, thank you.
Im so happy i found this good quality channel. You are now one of my favorite channel among channels covering True Crime ! Poor Christine truly haunting. Rest in peace sweetheart ❤
I love this series. Unfortunately I have to always tape it and watch it later. Can't watch pt. 2 until I see pt. 1. Don't know why it never got taped, my luck you have a RUclips channel. Tks much. 💖
Remember this case well. Allegedly after Christine's head was smashed up to pieces in their garage, Peter Demeter quipped: "I didn't know she had so much brain." Also it was nice to see Barbara Amiel at that time. Thank you CRIME BEAT TV for sharing.
Mississauga did not exist then. It was the Cooksville department. Dundas Cresent was in Erindale. The destruction of some of the best farmland in Canada began when Ms. McCallum did behind the scenes deals with developers to destroy one of Canadas breadbaskets and turn it into a paved road, highway and high rise disaster which deprives the future, forever, from some of the best fruit in the world. Rather than lauded as a great Mayor, she should have been incarcerated for insider trading and financial crimes.
poor woman. not only was she killed but she had the indignity of being playing in a movie by elke sommer and a book written about her by creepy barbara amiel.
I worked as a temp for someone hired by Peter Demeter, & this was quite a while after he's been imprisoned. I saw one of Demeter's letters that had arrived recently. I don't know if there was a problem getting hold of stationery in the prison, but the handwriting, first of all, was tiny & cramped. After the page was fully written up, Demeter had then written in all 4 of the margins, writing all around in a circle until they were all filled up too. Reeeeeally strange.
Gosh this show is nothing like what it used to be, 3-4 years ago. They changed the format from professional commentary to way too many testimonials, is what must be the problem.
This was a crime of passion based on the overkill of the victim. I remember it well. I’m sure his girlfriend played a part in this. Maybe she was even the killer?
Peter was charged with conspiring to have his lawyers daughter killed lol ,, and I was in the holding cells at high court 367 university ave in Toronto and I asked him how his wife was and he got upset lol
@@carlawestlund4429 thanks 😊, I ended up talking to him that day for a few hours and he denied killing her and he denied trying to hire some to kill his lawyers daughter also. He was there appealing his sentence on the conspiracy charges . He lost his appeal that day . I was there on a bail appeal and I also lost that day too lol

In 1974 i went to the house to take a picture of it for a history project in school of all historic sites in Mississauga. Their house was the house of the very first Doctor in Erindale. I was so scared. I took the picture jumped in the car & told my dad to put the pedal down.

This case made headlines worldwide. Peter is still in prison, at 91, for attempting to kill other people he hated. He is still considered to this day, one of the most dangerous criminals in Canada.. I've been looking for a documentary about Peter Demeter for decades.

In what world is Peter Demeter "movie star" good-looking? He looks like he is related to Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys.
Well her opinion and look who she married, probably thought Conrad was handsome too
In the world where a Michael Jackson nose is fashionable....😂
100th episode wow i love crime beat congrats
When will women ever learn NOT to have their husband the direct beneficiary of their life insurance?????!!!!! O.M.G.!!!!!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.... don't find Peter one ounce attractive. Yik
Cold fish and ordinary and those ghastly spectacles😂
definitely a Creepy looking beast

Barbara's plastic surgery is a crime 😮
Capital punishment worthy
Gads!!!! Barbara Amiel and Conrad Black. Can Canadians never stop hearing from those two? AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!

He is not handsome. Gag. What in the world did Christine thinking?
@JGolar
... but was filthy rich.

Money can make anyone look attractive
Dollar signs, duh
She was stunning he was 😝 some beaitiful women feel insecure and marry men not suited to them for this reason. So sad 😔
I lived in Erindale Village when this happened, few streets away
We used to drive our bikes by the house
Remember this vividly

Good Lord, what happened to Barbara Amiel ?
That's what I was thinking. Probably too many facelifts or injections. It looks frightening.
Old age
@@annamariadipancrazio7315 I would say industrial strength plastic surgery
Feel sorry for Christine’s little girl. Thanks for
reminding me how much I can’t stand listening to Barbara amiel.

I temped in admin at a prison here in Australia a few years ago. One of jobs was to read the incoming mail of inmates. The stories I could tell 😅😮
When is part 2?
People say the strangest things about the murder victim: 'She had her whole life ahead of her.'
He was shopping for silver lockets 😂

My first go with this channel. I’ll be back for more
I remember this and I was a kid
As sad as these stories are its cool to see Canada(even my hometown in a few episodes) be represented in a true crime show.
I’m glad the family had some nice memories of Christine.
Thank you, oh so relevant Ain't of my Rosebud. Your hosting is so very necessary.
Please fix your audio is way too low
Nothing wrong with audio on our end!
Peter Demeter was not good looking..what is this womqn saying..........Christine on the other hand was fabulous.
❤ thank you
Can you repost part 2 with the Lisa Ross interview in it? I can’t find that version online.
Who on earth was ever calling that guy movie star good looking. Think they should visit an optician

Ok Karen
it's a television show.. 1 ep airs a week. new to the concept of 2 part episodes? Only been this way since the dawn of television.
I usually find your cases interesting. But this one leaves me thinking rich people are gross. I won’t watch until the end.
so this episode is making you stereotype every rich person eh?
