If you are still confused as to what ROTC is, its the Reserve Officers Training Corps, pretty much training that gives you a basic credit if you want a future in the military,, though it does not give you any military status. The primary point is the credit for a future job in the military, and scholarships.

9:00 teachers aren't legally allowed to call students out like that. If they don't have express permission to share the student's grade, it's an invasion of privacy and you can get fired for that. You have to ask the student and block out their name if they agree.
fr? our teachers used to do that for almost all the tests unless a student specifically asks their marks not to be shared
@@shroomy_ I don't know if it's illegal, but it's immoral and against the NAECY Code. A teacher can use an old test or paper for study purposes and can have the grade, but has to block out the student's name and the date. And I think at least a semester or two has to pass before they can. They have to get express consent to show the name, especially in high school. I'm studying to be a teacher and that kind of thing is absolutely against the NAECY Code (an ethical code). It's degrading and flat out rude. I would've left the class, too.

The bit where Karl was talking about forgetting his shoes because of his ADD I felt cause I have really bad ADD and I forgot my entire backpack at my house and didn’t notice till second period
I also have ADHD (ADD & ADHD are the same thing) and I actually forgot my shoes the other day lol, also the amount of times I have stepped into the shower with my glasses/socks on. I also forgot my own birthday twice.

I would never admit this in real life, but Dream is the reason why I joined JROTC. I first heard about it from a stream, and I thought it was cool so I signed up for it this year. turns out it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

the best thing about being a teacher's pet is exactly what Karl did. you're their weak spot, use that shit to your advantage! i was a model student back in Uni, and being the pet to almost all of my lecturers, i got to go home early or skip 1-2 classes for each subject without any penalty. some would look down on this kind of behavior but they gotta remember that by being a teacher's pet, one has to be excel in something, and no smart person gotta do anything for free.

Just listening to Karl and the Dream Team's stories, Damn that took me right back to when I was a youngster. Been drunk in high school (that's how much I hated it). wearing school bloody uniforms, having my hair short all the time, and other kids who could not stand. The only thing I did like was Science and math oh and CDT (funny UK thing Craft Design Technology). The rest of it tbh I don't remember. Thanks for posting that dude, it was awesome.

ROTC is a military training class that high school students can take if they want to join the military and it makes training shorter, and prepares you for it.
I can't miss more than 7 days a semester. My semester started in August and ends sometime in December. And being sick counts as absent unless you have a doctor's note. They still count us absent with written notes

I understand that dream says ,that school feels like a faste of time.
In total I have 8h at school, while 6h are learning stuff.
And it's just so boring.
Since we got a new maths teacher again, it got from kinda interesting to just completely boring. Same with English classes.
The only class which is okish for me is just German classes, just because it isn't always the same stuff, but also very easy.
Chemistry and physics isn't that bad, but I'm not the best at both. doesn't make it better that we have a different physics teacher every lesson.
But the most boring part of the day, are really just the breaks.
It's really just me eating breakfast, then doing nothing.
Second break is me just doing nothing for 1h and 30min.
I'm actually happy that I have to actually work for 3weeks atm.
Just way shorter breaks and the time just flies. even though I worked 6h, it feels like it had been just 2h.
The stuff I have to do there are usually quite simple, but can be somewhat fun.
The people that actually work there are also very nice, so that's good as well.

The best memory at my high school so far is in my study skills class, my teacher is super cool and comes in late and she lets us do what every we want like skateboarding in class watching yt, streams,netflix and she doesn’t care if we swear in class. But anyways she let some of my classmates throw a phone at this brick wall during class and she was working out on the floor in the front of the class while everyone is just settling down and I was finishing my lunch and stuff but anyways I just love her class

In my school (in Britain) our ROTC is a cadets club after school and I have friends who go to it for the school trips
i’m going to a catholic private school this year and holy crap i know they’re known for being strict on their dress codes but like you can’t have a shaved head, you can’t wear bracelets or wrist bands unless it’s a watch (or a medical band) you can’t wear necklaces or rings or have more than 2 pairs of earrings, no facial or body piercings, you can only wear clear nail polish no colours, your hair can only be 1 natural colour no blues, purples, pinks, greens etc no highlights in your hair, you can’t wear skate, volley or any other similar shoe only those odd leather school ones and for PE it has to be proper runner (makes sense i guess) AND every child no matter their age (it’s a Prep to year 10 school) you have to have a signature oh and if you’re out of uniform even just a tad you have to get an out of uniform pass or sticker dated to the teacher/house mentor’s classroom and has to be shown to every staff member if requested
In Mexico most schools public and private have uniforms and are REALLY strict

Also I reported my art teacher because he made me redraw something 5 times and I fake cried because he said it was bad. That teacher is scared of me now, and he changed from being the art teacher to being an English teacher, so that no more people would do what I did

Funny story. I bowled on this bowling league in some uppity house (us who grew up around bowling call bowling alleys houses, its weird don't judge.) And so this one kid, scrawny as shit, wore glasses, squeaky ahh voice, ROTC kid who wanted to go to A&M, tried to square up with the middle sibling, so it goes me, middle kid, oldest brother. Anyway, I don't know what happened fully, but I do know that he said something to middle sibling, and oldest brother got in the middle. Mind you, this kid weighed like 120 soaking wet, oldest brother weighs 215 at the time, mostly muscle, 5'8 lil Mexican boy from south Irving, grew up in the absolute ghetto. So ROTC tried something with middle sibling, oldest brother got between them, and ROTC tried to swell up at oldest brother. And me, who put a 10 year old in a straight arm bar in the locker room of our normal house (bowling alley) as a 5 year old, size of a 4 year old, hopped beside middle sibling (i was like 4'8") and lil ROTC boi sat down when he realized we weren't from Denton. Absolutely hilarious. Also I'm a cheerleader, middle kid plays football, oldest kid wanted to do jujitsu, so he taught himself. None of us were weak, we all also carried big mf pocket knives, cause Texas. I was in like, middle school. Oldest brother was a junior, middle kid was a like, freshman. Idk we were all homeschooled. Oldest is a late 1999 baby, middle is late 2001, I'm early 2006. This happened in like, 2017

my mom was the same as Karls mom for skipping, if I used it sparingly I was allowed to if I told her, that and after grade 10 she gave me a permanent out on assembly's unless I was in them. I think I skipped a total of 10 classes in my 4 years not including if I slept in or something but I always had to ask.
my school sucks, my english class is known as the WORST class ever in this school. 99% is just teachers lecturing to those kids as much as i hate school i really like and thrive off of having structure. I have a bad habit of staying up till like 5am each day no matter what- and then I’d have to wake up at 6am for school. And I remember one time I didn’t sleep at all, (and my mother wakes me up at 7am tho I set up my alarm at 6 btw) and one time, I was so tired I was starting to say “it’s covid! I have the right to stay at home! I am mentally drained and going to school will make it worse!” Etc. my mother let me stay home, though I got grounded lol

In my computer class, we just looked at a book and typed stuff in a doc. And we were silent. So, we would listen to music to pass the time. But, we also had to use these big headphone things and use the spotify on the computer, and the headphones plugged in at the back. So, my friend Brice listened to really loud rap music every day. So, before he walked in, I went to his computer and unplugged the headphones halfway, and turned the volume ll the way up. Later, I was typing, and I just hear Eminem absolutely blasting. Teacher was pissed. Good days, those were.

I only hated school because I was ahead in elementary, and I got yelled at because I looked at work ahead and stuff but then I also had nothing to do. And then I’m middle school I did none of my work and I wouldn’t say I skipped classes but I was virtual and so I didn’t pay attention to many classes. And I had over 300 missing assignments. And then I’m tech Ed I took PAGES of notes and stuff and we never used them. And a kid kept flipping me off.

Omg I can releate with dream I used to play Minecraft or roblox in mid of online class every time but I sadly started public school 2 weeks ago so I play roblox or Minecraft in computer class and she has never noticed somehow and I only sleep 5 hrs in school days I sadly got sick on Monday/a day before science test and my mom made me go to school even if I was sick:( so I went to school was a runny nose the next day it went on Wednesday tho but than I lost my voice on Wednesday and I still haven't gotten back my voice but I have a cough and a headache now:( and I have a math test on Sunday:(

at 9:45 it remind me of how for half of a day I disguised myself at a male to hide from the teacher cause i was in big time trouble, i tucked my hair in my hood and yeah so i looked like a male if i don't raise my head, the weird part about this is But no teacher recognized me and i got my friends to say im here so they don't hear my feminine voice, I did this for a week straight and avoided that teacher that had to talk to me cause i was in trouble but the worst part is in one of the days she came to talk to me about "the thing" i got in trouble for I skipped class and left the school and just sat in the forest with my friend next to the school talking and crying about what to do
you see the thing is im a "good child" by that i mean i finish my work quick then sit on discord the rest of every class for until the assessment, and Ive never gotten detention so you know this is a big deal for me, and the thing is its hard to explain how but what i was in trouble for could have led me to talking to child services or a therapist somehow, and I dont know why the school took it so seriously and stuff but it to horrible, but in the end of the week of my crying at play and hiding in the forest i manged to do it for so long they forgot about it

obviously their mom doesn't know me and goes to question my friend about it they just say "Oh that's a friend from school"
but their mom clearly without thinking noticed that my friend was sad and went to report it to the school that i was bullying their child, So i get home later that day and my friend texts me "please dont be mad at me..." and goes on to explain im in trouble and thy found out it was me, I say nah its alright and we talked till 1am and forgot about everything that happened, now it should be obvious it was a joke or should've been cause were really good friends and the school knows that but they took it really seriously, so 2 days later were all walking in a group with the rest of my friends and THE teacher pulls me to the side and says to me "do you know why your here..." and then i know i was in some serious sh*t, so i tried to explain it was a joke but they didn't listen and said they're gonna call me to the office later and they're gonna make me call my mom on the school phone and explain he situation,
so like a person would do if you were freaking out when break hit i cried and told all my friends everything, they helped me disguise and hide and when the that teacher asked where i was to talk to me they lied, so that's how i hid for a week-

also i know i wasn't totally doing the right thing but i was panicking and i didn't know what to do, also i understand my friends mom was also probably worried their child was getting bullied so she reported it, but i was still scared and just acted out of fear, cause when i gave my friend stupid discord roles it had swear words in them and things and i didn't want my parents to know i swore leading to these events...but again i knew i was doing wrong things i dont want everyone to yell at me in the reply's-
