Pilot Part 1 for me is my favorite episode. It's the ultimate hook. Also, I enjoy the looks on the faces of reaction watchers with Jack in action. I can relate. Season 6 finale is up there too. So the start and ending will impress. Enjoy the ride!

And even with this you need moderators cuz silly people are going to write spoilers sometimes. Also you need to write down notes with questions you're getting while watching and anything you notice. Lost is like a puzzle, gigantic puzzle, all of it will come together but you will have to watch a lot of seasons to make sense.
I don't agree with that. I don't think you can spoil LOST. It's not the 6th Sense or The Good Place. There isn't one big secret that changes everything. And it never bothers me knowing things in advance. I think I enjoy a surprise more if I know in advance sometimes because I catch all the hints and see how well executed it is. I also don't think it's a puzzle. Everything is just random and there aren't any real clues. Everything is a red herring.

TRIVIA: 🌴🛫🌄🛬🌴 The original ending of this episode was to see Jack { he would have been played by guest actor Michael Keating } die and take the place of the pilot in the tree and have Kate become the leader of our castaways aka Losties but the powers that be decided to keep Jack alive so they revamped the character of Jack and hired Matthew Fox for the role. Shortly after filming the pilot the actors who play Kate { Evangeline Lilly } and Charlie { Dominic Monaghan } began dating in real life and they remained a couple for four seasons of the show.
So you've quickly become a Kate fan. The actress is from my home country. 🇨🇦 This was her very first major TV film role after briefly being a Flight Attendant. More recently she co-starred in a movie called "Crisis". But one of her very early Pre-Lost appearances on screen was doing a commercial for a late night dating website: ruclips.net/video/dlCzZLHtYds/видео.html This video was likely from 2002 or 2003.
The "there is something familiar about the sound" line and her saying she is from the Bronx was there because one of the producers, I believe, used the sound from a receipt printer from a supermarket in the Bronx for the sound effects of the monster. It was an easter egg. If you pay attention you can hear the printing noise.
*Spoiler!* I've seen this show probably 8 times and never picked up on this. When Kate is sewing up Jack and he tells her the story and she says "I think I would have ran for the door." Jack says, "You're not running now" Now knowing who Kate is, her being told she isn't running now symbolises her being given new life on the island.
don't let anyone tell you that the ending is bad!! there are many different opinions about the conclusion of the show (I personally think it was a masterpiece) but I really believe you should be able to draw your own conclusions. I think it is amazing and satisfying, so please don't get dissuaded from continuing your watch by any negative opinions. :)
After all these years still the best show in my eyes.

The pilot is a little over the top. But I didn't mind that. It was making a statement that the show was going to be entertaining.
