Just got back from Kefalonia. They've done an amazing job since the Medicane struck. Assos is almost back to it's beautiful self. As is the rest of this Stunning island.
We arrived the day before Ianos hit and couldn’t believe it, even the following electrical storms were severe! As we started to visit various places around the island it was so sad to see the damage - from what we saw Antisamos beach, Agia Effimia, Assos & the big old trees on Mt Ainos were hit hardest. By the time we visited Assos there seemed to have been good progress since your video was shot, seeing the wrecked cars & boats was also really sad. We wish you a speedy recovery & would love to visit beautiful Kefalonia again in the future, take care ❤️
Looks like some lucky person is having a house built there!Would love to swap places.Way after it's built though.I don't want to fight with the neighbours! 🤣
Been going to Kefalonia for 30 years on holiday Assos is the most beautiful place on the island so sad to see this. We were in Corfu when this hit Kefalonia, we would have been in Skala if we could have got good accommodation there after our Portugal holiday got cancelled.
We have been going for thirty years. It breaks my heart to see this beautiful island in such a bad state.. It was bad enough not going this year because of Covid, then this. We will be back next year regardless.❤️🇬🇷🌺
Oh my, that is just awful. Been a few times and it was beautiful - it will be again but all the old buildings that have gone is terrible. My thoughts are with everyone in my favourite place on earth, Kefalonia. 💕
