Article on the fight: Johnson was originally declared the winner of the fight when the scorecards were read. An announcement was made minutes later saying there was a scoring error but Johnson was still the winner. Then after the Angel Manfredy-Julio Diaz main event, another announcement was made saying Marquez was the winner by split decision after the scorecards were reviewed again.

Marquez was a smart fighter. I think Mark should've thrown more tight combinations on the inside. Prolly could've knocked him out.

Johnson should have won this, I'm fine with the pt deduction in the 9th but the one in the 10th was total BS
