Leaving the clippings on the grass is not a negative. Ive had a landroid for a year now on my front lawn which looked like crap before the Landroid arrived.. The extra nutrients from the clippings really has improved my lawns health and I never notice any grass clippings laying on my lawn. As for the battery yes 2ah is crap. Upgrade to a bigger Worx battery. I do still need to run the strimmer around the edges 4 times a year and go over the hole lawn 2 or 3 times a year with a petrol mower just to pick up the odd leaf and twig etc. The app is not great but most of the time the landroid just gets the job done all by its self and the app will tell me if it gets stuck or has finished cutting. Long story short the landroid is not perfect and does need maintenance and resetting somedays but it saves me so much work and time.
Good feedback. It no doubt depends on the grass you have, the climate and the what any grass clippings mean for you. For me, if it leaves them, it means grass clippings in the pool and in the house (dragged in by the kids). And in summer, it grows about three-inches a week, so there's very quickly clippings of note. I think the better your lawn fits the landroid's limitations, the better the product does.
Got one of the older landroids that still need a boundary wire so not sure if it works the same but if you use the START or HOME buttons on the mower then you have to press the big round button to confirm (so press start/home and then press round button). But I hear your frustration, took me ages to realise too. They do have an anti-theft alarm that goes off when you pick it up and just carry it away 😉 so maybe look at that. Mine is the 700m2 version and runs about 2.5-3h on one charge. And yes, the app is crap.
Really?! So I totally didn't work that out, lol. What amp hour battery does your version have on it? They included just a 2Amp hour I think on the model I had, which was nowhere near big enough for anything near 3-hours.
@ had a look, it’s a 4Amp and the old landroids probably also use less power as they just bouncing randomly within the boundary wire. It looks like the 1300m2 Landroid vision comes with a 4Amp battery for an extra $800, rest seems nearly the same besides a slightly bigger cutting disc. 🥴 Can’t complain about the mower itself though, had it for about a year and no issues. Going strong.
@@motivatedtravelmine is only the 700m2 version and it came with that 4Amp battery so go figure. For those prices you’d expect better than the 2Amp as you mentioned
You set up a marker on each side of the path, which tells the mower that it needs to go over a path. It basically stops mowing as it goes over the path, then starts again on the other side.
my lawn some large stones that stick up through the grass. i painted them red so i dont mow them with my ride on . (awful Noise.) how would one of these robot things cope?
It's pretty good with its sensor and avoids kids toys and objects like that.... can even get spooked by sudden shadows. If the rocks are visible enough, I think it would avoid them. But haven't tested.
@@dragossorin85 Oh I see what yo mean. It does the lawn in random patterns. So it's not like it finishes teh are near the dock, then moves to the next area. So if you move the dock, it will still have to go back to where you started to finish off. (And I think it would restart anyway)
Hello, if you leave the charging station like this, the robot will have problems parking. Read the operating instructions, the robot always drives counter-clockwise into the charging station, so the charging station must be placed to the side with 2 meters of free access. Just a tip ;-)
I can see your point, but it comes down to lawn size. For my lawn, there wasn't enough hours in the day for it to stop, recharge, start again.... and get the job done. So multiple days to do a lawn - well within the size it advertisers being able to do. That's where I think a bigger battery could have been the solve.
The most annoying thing is the 2 zones area. In my case, it is a diagonal area, around the corner of my house. It is impossible for the machine to realise how to make it work. It even goes into the wall, not realising it must stop. Piece of crap. Don't buy!!!!

@@map0815 Definitely helps having that bigger battery. Seemed like a really odd place for me to try and save some $ (or force an upsell).

Hi you have a pathway to the pool with stone flags , as theres no grass on the steps how did it cope ? As the camera will not see grass

Will it work with bigger surfaces if put in the middle of it?
I don't think it matters where you put the dock as for the space you get in a single battery.
@@motivatedtravel But it does remember where it did or starts random again?

I did read the instructions and thought I place it right? It didn't seem to have any problems finding its home? But handy tip nonetheless.
I see the newer one has a 4.0 Ah battery
Well that's good news!!!!
Monthly cost?
Not sure why you're so concerned with battery size. It comes home, recharges and heads out again. Job done!

No monthly cost.
i'll wait till ryobi makes one
Why Ryobi, I've always had hit and miss with them?
@@motivatedtravel all my battery equipment is through them and haven't had an issue so far.
I have the same path to my pool hence why im asking
They're a pain to mow!
duw op start dan op de ronde knop of home en dan op de ronde knop
Dus het wil dat je de eerste druk op de knop bevestigt? Jammer dat dat niet wordt uitgelegd!

Very interesting - I guess it cannot see the other marker through the wall. But that's something they really should have been able to solve!
