Other young Dancehall artists like valiant and rajah all dropped at least once a month when they were blowing up to maintain their fanbase and remain in their minds until a consistent fanbase was built. One cannot maintain a fanbase with very limited song drops unless a strong fanbase was already established due to PRIOR and PROLONGED virality. Perfect example is playboy carti. He can wait literal years before song drops and still do incredible numbers because he already built his VERY strong fanbase from consistent drops in the past and can mellow out now. Another issue is the wait time between payment plan riddim and this song dropping now. Every other artist dropped theirs earlier because this riddin was revelant earlier in the year. Imagine somebody drop a big bounce now. It's not going to do that well.
This is what i call Constructive Criticism 👏🏾👏🏾 Although we love the song, we’re just letting you know with the culture of music we have it’s best to drop a song on a riddim when it’s majorly popping. it’s not like he can’t do it, he’s fire.
