I don't understand why they have a coupon policy if they are going to turn down coupons that match? Makes no sense.
I just started working at DT and I think it's great it's great couponing there. But most employees don't even know they take coupons

Most employees don't even know they sell ice. I told the cashier I needed a bag of ice and she said we don't have ice. I walked outside and opened up the box and it was chock full to the brim with bags of ice.

Since watching your channel, I tried couponing at DT for the first time today. I did 3 deals, the Halls cough drops, the Lysol Toilet cleaner, and the Right Guard. No problems! 🤗

I admire your perseverance. I did my first and last DT coupon trip a couple weeks ago. Everything beeped and the line was long I could just feel the inpatient stares from the people behind me making me super anxious and nervous.
Lol I get that feeling too. My husband wasn’t with me this time and he usually blocks those people from my sight 🤣🙈
I ignore them. They don’t pay my bills.

I am a cashier at a grocery store chain called Meijer and if we scan a coupon and it gives us an error message, we just check to make sure that you had that item or those items and that you followed the coupon limit rules, and if everything is good we just manually enter it into the system as “vendor coupon“ for whatever amount it’s supposed to be
She should of paged her manager! You can easily enter it in the machine if it matches. Tell her to hit F7
I found a cashier finally who will push them thru I haven't couponer there in awhile for same reason. But I'll go when she's there.
WOW, THE CLOROX AND PINESOL COUPON WORKED???? DIDN'T WORK FOR ME AT DG WITH THAT SAME EXACT BOTTLE. SHE SAID SHE WOULD PUSH IT THROUGH BUT I TOLD HER IT'S OK, BECAUSE I FIGURED IT MAY BE TRIAL AND TRAVEL SIZE, BUT WASN'T SURE. THANKS MEEK, I AM GOING TO TRY DOLLAR TREE NOW.

You can look their coupon policy up online
I get nervous sometimes too! Lol but I still go for it! You can definitely print the policy or pull it up on your phone and have it ready just in case you run into a problem.
DT's system is very old. If you find a DT where they understand how to enter coupons manually you get GREAT deals 🙂
Tonight, after being inspired by a different Dollar Tree couponing video by Meek, I couponed at Dollar Tree for the very first time! I was able to match up three items, with a checkout quantity of five items, because two of the coupons were $1 off when you buy two. After the three coupons that I had were applied, I paid $2.50 plus tax for the five items. That's half-price---a 50% discount! It was my first time using coupons at Dollar Tree, and it was the cashier's very first time ever accepting a coupon. Don't be shy or afraid! There's a first time for everything. Just try it!
Your DT have everything!!!! Half of the things you get are not in Illinois or my coupons beep, and the cashier refuse them😡. Great haul 👍🏾

I buy my Sunday paper at Dollar Tree. I’ve never tried a coupon there but will try after watching this video.
Crazy part is by the time you spend the gas going to 2 DTs and paying 10 cent for each bag you could have paid full price at the first store. Since you no that the 1st store excepts the coupons i would stick with them and bring my own bags for extra savings. Thanks for the video.
Actually my DTs are very close to my house. Didn’t waste any gas. And for the purpose of this video I went to two stores to shows you guys that the coupons do in fact work. And my DT doesn’t charge extra for bags.
I didn't know that DT even took coupons and never heard of 10% off during the holidays. However, as a newbie to couponing, I would feel terrible if everything I purchased beeped. However, I want to thank you for sharing this and I made a killing on last week's Dollar General. No beeps there. I couldn't have done it without you. Hugs

I have gotten the Lysol toilet bowl cleaner with the coupons at DT but if you look at the amount in the bottle it's not worth it. The bottle is only 8 ounces. 5 swipes of the toilet and the bottle is empty. CVS has a sale on Lysol products at least every six weeks BOGO, which is 16 ounces. Dollar General has the 33% more bottle which is 24 ounces for $2. I have been couponing for about 9 months now and DT products are not worth the hassle because the quantity is not enough.

I noticed at dollar tree on the Lysol toilet bowl cleaner it has to be the blue bottle idk why but everytime i get the purple it beep

You are right, if it beeps the cashier is still able to manually tell the register to input a coupon for the coupon amount. Manager will know how to do this. I work as ops manager now for over 3 yrs and it can be done easily!
Any one else feel like that cashier spoke those coupons not working into existence. I have been couponing for a decade or more and I noticed this happens a lot. I mean the ones who don't look at the product, barely glances at coupon" oh that won't work here"lol
Next time ask for the manager and have them void everything and try again at a different register with a manager. The manager should be competent enough to recognize that the coupon IS for the product and they should give you the coupon prices.

All your coupons are good. I wish DT would train their employees. I also use the $3/3 gain their because the small detergents aren’t trial or travel.

I went to a dollar tree in a different county from usual yesterday (had a trip out there for something else). They said the system just got an update and the cashier's can't put in the coupons manually anymore- had to get the manager and they messed around with the system until they figured out how to make it take the coupons because they saw that they matched. Literally every coupon beeped. The Lysol, scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaner, Scotties tissues, only one that went through was the Colgate which has the most restrictions on it! I was lucky they read the coupons and were like "well, this matches, even the pictured item (on the Scotties), push it through".
There was getting to be a line by the time I was done, and I have horrible anxiety, but I'm unemployed right now, so every penny counts! I can't afford to be too embarrassed to try anymore!
I didn't know they took coupons but after seeing ur videos I went twice and did well. Ty so much lady for teaching us $ Tree couponing.
Well I decided to take a chance on dollar tree and coupons. Since I didn't know all the manufacture items they sell I decided to take a handful of coupons with me that they might have. I bought five items at $5. and paid $2.50. Not bad for a newbie. I did have one that didn't work..yup the Scott's toilet paper. Drats, I just had her remove it. The lady in front of me noticed I had coupons. She said you're getting a discount at the dollar store, I didn't think they took coupons. If I do it again it will be for only a few items that I absolutely will use. Some of what I got I will give away. But I am glad I tried. Hint, wait until there is no one at the check out, it just finishing up so that hopefully you can get out before a line starts.
I went to DT this evening everything beeped welch jelly skinny pop and halls cough drop. what a night!

That cashier shouldn’t have been so petty about pushing the coupons through! 🙄 Good for you on what you did get to save! I wish you could have saved more! Btw, I love that Wet n Wild mascara! I wish you could have got some. I took a chance and bought one and loved it for $1! I was surprised how good it works for $1! 😀👍
I love your method.. by placing the coupon in the item. I’m the same way... I could have a coupon to save .25 and if I forget it I get so upset... lol I’m not cheap but hey if I could save some money it’s a win, win situation.. I subscribe to your page because if I could learn something it would make me so happy. I even say to myself that if i ever won the lottery, I’d still shop at Dollar Tree 😂😂 Love your videos.
I have to wait til no one is in the store or when everyone is done to coupon. I find if the product does not say trial size on it then they will push the coupon thru. No printables though. No bogos.
I think its a 30/70 chance it will work. I think the coupons are for regular size products. But it doesn't state it and the stores know coupons are coming no matter. What I don't understand? Why it bothers some stores, there getting more back. Oh well. Coupons WOULDN'T be stopped.
Love your videos!!!! My dollar off wet & wild coupon,jimmy dean worked but my scoot tissue coupon didn't so I just asked for it to be removed because I didn't want to hold the line up.
I always though these were travel size or trial size and that’s why they never worked at my DT store. The only deal that ever worked was one time I has coupons for cans of tuna. And to further kick me down, I went in my grocery store and the tuna would have been cheaper if I used the coupons there since it had recently gone on sale. Oh well..... 😔

My Dollar tree has the manager come over and she checks the coupon, if it matches, she puts them through. The Jimmy Dean does not work on a single sandwich any more. My coupon actually says excludes single sandwiches. But, it does work on the precooked sausage packs Wich my Dollar Tree sells. 😀 Glad you didn't give up. That's my favorite "buy to donate" store. Well there and now CVS. Thank you for sharing. 😀💗

Mine won't push them thru. She said she just got an email. So idk whether to call coupon manufacturer or dollar tree.
Wow! So sorry ladies. ☹️ The sausage goes through just fine at my store, and, all managers CAN manually put it through. The sausage DOES meet the requirements of the coupon. My coupon only excludes single sandwiches. I just called my friend that works at their corporate office... She said... There has been no email nor message telling store managers not to sell the sausage, only, that it says excludes the single sandwiches. Sorry, but, whoever said that, lied. 😥😥
That stinks! We go out of our way to follow the rules, and then somebody lies to avoid 10 seconds of work manually putting it through. So sorry your stores are doing that. 😥😥😥😥
@@BrendaBodwin she said if it beeps that's it but I feel the system isn't always right. I tried using the puffs coupon and it beeped. She wouldn't even look at it to make sure. Just handed it back. I even pointed out the wording. But my bounty coupons went thru just fine. Frustrating.
The $0.75 internet printed coupon said it excluded the single sandwiches but I used it for the 6 ct sausage package and they still had to push it through.
Great deals. I’m going back tomorrow to get the cleaning supplies. I got free Skinny Pop from there yesterday.

Yesterday, I went there and got 4 of the 11.25 oz Softsoap at .25 each. I also picked up the Lysol toilet bowl cleaner for .50. It's great.

I won’t go to multiple Dollar Trees to save a dollar. I tried it one time and every coupon I had was legit but the manager was rude and said it had to match the picture on the coupon exactly. We all know that’s not true but I didn’t want to cause a scene so I just left the items there. I really enjoy your DG and FD videos tho...I always score big in those two places!

I’ve picked up the Scott Comfort Plus before, but the rolls were really tiny, like REALLY tiny 😂.
I need to check if they are carrying bigger rolls now, otherwise it really wasn’t worth it....

I work at DT, we are only allowed to accept MFG coupons that are for the exact size of the product that is being purchased, and we aren't allowed to accept more than 4 coupons per household per day.

I tried couponing at my DT one time & it was my first time. Before I even got to pick up anything I asked the cashier who was also the manager, if they took coupons & she said yes and asked me what I planned on buying. I replied her saying I don't know your store so let me take a look around first & see what I will find. She answered okay just let me know when your ready to check out. I searched throughout the whole store & found nothing; every product looked trial sized but what I wanted they didn't have except Ajax & Palmolive dish soap but again the ounces didn't match. 20 min later on my way out I said to her, everything I wanted to buy they didn't have. LOL 😄 All I felt was guilt trying to coupon at a dollar store.🤑😄😞🤐 I think better to go to DG or FD.

I live in a very small town where we only have 1 dollar tree, the manager doesn't like couponers so if a coupon beeps they just say sorry won't work, also the Welch jelly she said were travel size wouldn't even scan or read the coupon because even if it was travel size the coupon had no restrictions. I hate when they want to read the coupons it accepts word for word but the ones that beep they won't even look at it,it's because there system is old as the stone age! They need to update because it would save alot of frustration on our part and thier part! I worry because they have taken over family dollar and if they don't update their register it will become massive problems for alot of family dollar shoppers. I live 45 min away from another town but I may try anyways just to see how the manager is at another dollar tree. I always use the coupon as it should be used and I do not like being treated like a criminal for trying to save money,I guarantee they use coupons on dollar stuff at Walmart, what's the difference? I love DT but it is frustrating when the coupons beep and they say there’s nothing they can do. I used the 50¢ Colgate coupon and it beeped at one store and not the other. My toothpaste matched the size restrictions. TFS your haul.

What state are you in. Your Dollar Tree is so clean and tidy. My local dollar tree's in the central Florida area, are messy and some even nasty dirty. 🙄

Can you use multiple printable coupons at DT that arent the same...say like 10? Or just 2 total regardless of how many items you have?
You can only use 2.
the jimmy dean coupon was not taken off
I do believe the employees (in some stores, not all) just make up their own rules instead so they don't have to deal with the coupons.
