Should’ve shown Hovland giving him the read right before his long range bomb, it’s part of the game that really matters.

He only had 1 tour win his entire career. Then decides to be the only player to go under in horrible conditions on arguably the hardest golf course in the world. Shoutout to J.J. Spaun, this is the type of performance that makes people household names.

Yeah, looking at his career is so interesting- something definitely changed in the last few months for him. He made consecutive cuts at majors for the first time ever at the Masters (50th) and PGA (37th) this year, and then finished 2nd at the Players Championship in March. Such a cool story.

The final championship putt on the 18th hole was truly spectacular. JJ showed the true skills of a champion. I didn’t know much about him before, but I’m glad to see someone rise to stardom who wasn’t always one of the usual winners. From now on, I’ll be cheering him on with all my heart. Congratulations, JJ!

What a crazy day! I loved every minute of it. Spaun showed tremendous resolve to gather himself after shooting 40 on the front nine. He finished with an exclamation mark. It was great.

  • @justadudeintheworldman.120

Watched rounds 3&4 and as a viewer I must say I enjoyed the hell out of it.
Really refreshing to see pro’s not go -15 under every weekend. Oakmont is the real deal and made even more difficult by the conditions. What a win by JJ. Players finishing looked like they just got back from the Battle of the Bulge

I'm more of a casual golf watcher and many times on the smaller tournaments I only watch about the last 6 holes, but on the big tournaments I like watching the entire thing, and this one did not disappoint. If I had only watched the last few holes last Sunday I would have never known what the day was really like. Well done JJ! Last man standing

I CLAPPED for THREE MINUTES STRAIGHT !! BRAVO JJ!! This game so grueling and gratifying!! Hitting the pin and carding a Bogey?? Poker face. Unflappable. Once he hit the 40-footer on #12 dude went in a zone. Back-2-Back!! But HOW DO YOU SEE THAT LINE IN THE RAIN!?!? 😱. Crazy!! Then effin low angle replay walk off was 🔥🔥🔥!!

Hatton's three wood from the fourth fairway (279 yds to hole) was a thing of beauty- he flies it just over the pin about fifteen feet, and it comes back five feet, giving him a ten foot eagle attempt. (he missed)

Why don't they just putt on concrete or put windmills and clowns on these greens? Just reacting to what happened to JJ Spaun on hole #2 when his approach hit the flag pin and rolled off the green. That never happens on a real golf course. The US Open is a joke run by a bunch of jerks.
