I recently made a reaction to Polish history with the video IPNtv: The Unconquered and people told me if I want to know more about Polish history, a good video to react to would be this animated history of Poland.

1830 - November Uprising- national uprising against occupation by the Russian Empire
1863 - January Uprising- national uprising against occupation by the Russian Empire
1800-1900 - Fryderyk Chopin-one of the greatest romantic composers, Adam Mickiewicz-one of the greatest Polish writers
1918 - Poland regain independence (after 123 YEARS of occupation)
1920- Battle of Warsaw. also called "Miracle at Vistula" Poland beated Russia, saving Europe from communist revolution, one of most important battle in the HUMANKIND!!!
1922- Creation of a shipyard in Gdynia
1939- WW II started, Russia and Germany attacked from two sides and divided Poland in half
1940- Battle of Britain, Polish pilots saved England
1944- Batlle of Monte Cassino, The conquest of the Monte Cassino monastery by Polish soldiers. A very important battle in the history of WWII.
1944- Warsaw Uprising
1945- Poland felt under the occupation of the USSR.
1978- Polish Cardinal Karol Wojtyła was elected Pope and took the name of John Paul II
1981- martial law was introduced in Poland
1989- The 1989 Roundtable Talks, Negotiations conducted by representatives of communist authorities, the democratic opposition and church partiest. First partially free elections brought the long-awaited "FREEDOM".

One small "request" i guess - since you added Mikolaj Kopernik, Chopin and so on i think that Marie Skłodowska-Curie shouldnt be omitted since she was awarded to Nobel prizes, one with her husband and one alone in years 1903 and 1911 (chemistry and physics) ❤

And why we are constantly against the modern age propaganda. Our country is conservative (but we're not in the back, having game developers and using new technologies) because we know that the new "waves" could easily wash away the stuff that's important and valuable. EU just wants to make every country similar...But yeah, our politicians s*ck and it's not their contribution. It's because we Poles value our history and respect the past.
Polish people are extremely stubborn it's in our blood and we'd never let that go. Especially if we are protecting our people and country. And our allies too if needed be we'll fight together!❤ 🇵🇱🇵🇱

@@JaculaDudek Haiti was a setup by French Empire. Bonaparte sent Polish Legions to help in quelling slave uprising in Haiti, but after some time part of the Legions switched sides and the rest refused to fight.
And then there is also a lost expedition to Egipt, also ordered by Bonaparte. A talented Polish General was lost there with his troops, send on a suicide mission into the unknown.
Also, Bonaparte didn't listen to Polish Generals when he was planning attack on Russia. It was suggested to him that the first lands to be taken from Russia should be lands of todays Ukraine, as there was a lot of sentiment in there and new Polish Legions could be formed from local population after liberating them from Russia. But the French emperor went through Lithuania, thru what today is a Belarusian territory, that was preemptively ransacked and destroyed in the scorched earth tactics by the Russian empire.
So instead of taking a granary of Europe, as was advised, French went thru thru shortest line, thru the emptied land of burnt fields and empty granaries, took Moskva and then... lost due to the harsh winter of that year and lack of provisions that lead to starvation, while Russians had grains that they took from Ukrainian lands.

* Battle of Warsaw 1920 - we won against bolsheviks.
* Battle of Monte Cassino 1944 - a victory against nazi Germany and Italians
* Battle of Wizna 1939 (Sabaton made a song about that battle: "40:1") - Germans had advantage 40:1, but Polish resisted
* Battle of Gdunwald 1410 - the biggest battle in medieval Europe

* Battle of Vienna 1683 - Poland saved Austria and Europe against Ottomans
* Battle of Kircholm 1605 - The Swedes had a 4-fold advantage

Nie ma kraju na świecie który nie miałby trudności w podbiciu naszych ziem. Są takie które by to zrobiły, ale poniosły by niewyobrażalne straty nie warte podboju. Polacy to nie tylko ziemia i barwy oraz symbole narodowe. To przede wszystkim charakter którego ne ma żaden inny kraj, charakter który pozwala bronić ziem to ostatniej kropli krwi. U nas nawet kobiety i dzieci nie uciekają, tylko chwytają za karabin i apteczkę. Chwała bohaterom!
Jestem patriotą, ale żadne państwo nie jest bezgrzeszne, a powstanie warszawskie było durnym heroizmem, które wysłało wiele istnień na pewną śmierć... W tym i nawet 10-letnie dzieci. Nosz kurwa. Co to ma być? Polandjugend? Wiem, że trochę przesadzam, a hitlerowcy zmuszali dzieciaki do tego pod koniec wojny, choć nie też tak do końca, bo Hitler przesuwał niewidzialne pionki na mapie, tak mamy również w swojej historii czasy i momenty potępienia. Są ludzie i ludziska. Jak w każdym kraju. Bądź patriotą, ale nie miej tak bucznego poczucia wyjątkowości, bo choć polacy są wyjątkowo charakterni i historia nas nie rozpieszczała do czasów najgorszego króla w historii (Poniatowskiego), tak są kraje, które wycierpiały więcej i przetrwały więcej, jak na przykład Rosja, choć czuje nienawiść wobec ich poczynań, czy bardziej charakterne? Pomyślmy. Finowie byliby na równi. Możemy się zaliczać do topki, ale nie topki wszystkiego. PiS przywraca jakąś Polską Rzeczpospolitą Ludową 2.0 kryjąc się za konserwatyzmem, gdzie poglądy na gospodarke mają skrajnie lewicowe. I to nie tylko podczas kiełbasy wyborczej. Można to śmiało nazwać Narodowym Socjalizmem bez skrajnych ekstermizmów. Czy mamy być z tego dumni? Powiem śmiało, że demokracja przyszła i rozjebała Polske na gorąco z dużą pomocą Poniatowskiego. Przypominam, że kiedyś, przed amerykańskim kolonializmem, byliśmy jednym z potężniejszych mocarstw, a dziś jesteśmy gówno znaczącym pomiotem. Mieliśmy w swoim kraju zdrajców, którzy karali winni wręcz medalów z wyróżnieniem AK. To też jest część naszej historii. Bierut, czy gierek, to też jest Polska, niezależnie od tego, czy byliśmy wasalem, czy też nie. Dążę do tego, że należy być dumnym z tego, że jest się Polakiem, ale nie być butnym i potępiać fragmenty naszej historii, które są godne potępienia. Gierek to nie było ZSRR. To był polak? Czy idea? Czy sprzedał się za kilka tantiemów jak dziwka? Ciężko powiedzieć. Ale to część nas. Część nas którą się przypisuje ZSRR, bo mamy na tyle buty w sobie, żeby przyznać, że też był Polakiem, choć godnym pogardy. Dążę do tego, że czas zmierzyć się z rzeczywistością. Teraźniejszość też będziemy wspominać jako okupacje Kaczyńskiego, bo ma korzenie sięgające ZSRR i z białych teczek mogę powiedzieć tyle... Po prostu wiele wskazuje na pewne rzeczy. Nie tylko Lepper był Ruskim agentem/donosicielem. Niektórzy też działają na dwa fronty, tak jak Morawiecki, bo jest sprzedajny. Chciałbym powiedzieć, że posiadam dowody na zwierzanie się z tajemnic państwowych Niemcom, ale nie chce, żeby obudzili mnie smutni panowie o poranku i wywieźli do lasu. Polacy - przestańcie być butni i zachowajcie pokorę, tak, jak i wasi dziadowie i pradziadowie. Przynajmniej niektórzy, bo byli i tacy, co lubili donosić gestapo, czy później komunistom/socjalistom (początek końca drugiej wojny światowej to była czysta komuna, lecz stopniowo zaczęto wprowadzać elementy socjalizmu, którym zresztą również się brzydzę jako libertarianin.)

Szwedzi zalali Polskę swoim wojskiem nawet się przy tym zbytnio nie brudząc, potem były jeszcze rozbiory podczas których też raczej nikt specjalnie nie ucierpiał, poza Polską. Prawdę mówiąc Niemcy w 39 też weszli jak do siebie, chociaż tutaj można to tłumaczyć tym że Polska była w zasadzie w trakcie odbudowy. Legendarna bitwa pod Grunwaldem też zakończyła by się dla nas tragicznie gdyby nie wsparcie Litwy o której zwykle się zapomina. Z drugiej strony masz rację Charakterności Polakom nie brak, szkoda że objawia się tylko i wyłącznie jak już niema innego wyjścia, w sytuacjach ekstremalnie kryzysowych, poza nimi wchodzimy innym krajom w dupę i wylizujemy ją do czysta, bo prawda jest taka że od czasu pierwszych rozbiorów, Polska nigdy nie była wolnym, niezależnym państwem.
Don't forget about those thousands of Scoch people, who moved to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and became our citizens and great heroes ;) Probably most notably, Arend Dickmann. Who became Polish-Lithuanian Fleet Admiral and won the uneven battle against one of the strongest navy in Europe, Sweden, in the battle of Oliwa.
You're right, but Arend Dickmann was Dutch. Like most of captains during the battle of Oliwa, some were Scot of course.

Hi Mert. I am Polish and I will tell you that our history is very sad :(.
Our geographical location between Russia and Germany did not work in our favor, it resulted in two world wars and three partitions.
Nice for your contribution to promoting Polish history - it's really eventful.

@@sd441977nope we had 5 partitions (3 partitions 1772-1795 , one patition after collaps of napoleon's empire and one in ww2)

@sd441977 no. There were 3 official partitions. The "forth partition" Was the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact but it was a short occupation compared to the 123 after the three partitions before so its not considered a partition but an occupation

Battle of Warsaw in 1920 it's one of the best battles in Polish history when our country stopped ZSRR offensive.

If you want you can check for example: Battle of Grunwald (one of the greatest battles in the history of medieval Europe), Battle of Vienna and The Battle of Kircholm. Poland had their own Napoleon called Boleslaw Chrobry (Boleslav the Brave), he conquered most of the surrounding states and battle'd and won victories over mighty Rus and Holy Roman Empire, and he ended his life the simmilar to Napoleon, as outcast. Polish Hussars were first introduced in early 16th century and went undefeated for 125 years, Poland never lost a war against singular enemy, Poland faced multiple victories over up to 15 times more numerous enemies. It was the first state in Europe that invited Jews in 14th century and was tolerant to all it's inhabitants (medieval Commonwealth had estimated 40% Polish Population, and 40% Ruthenian Population with the remaining 20% being of various decents such as Germans, Jews, Netherlands, Scottish, Lithuanian etc.). Poland rarely conquered any land, most joined the state freely, most offensive battles fought by PLC was over taken territories not conquest. I can go on and on.
Polish soldiers fighting for Napoleon were sent to Haiti to fight rebellion, ended up helping the natives gain independence. There is a Polish school in Haiti with children being taught Polish with probably few children having Polish ancestor. Would have been much more but few decades ago some dictator incited violence against people of Polish origin in Haiti. Many were killed because of the colour of their skin.

That is a great animation, the only thing it is missing is that they could put captions on official youtube channel with explaination for what these dates mean. For Poles it is obvious since it mostly touches well known for us things, but for foreigners it severely lacks explaination.

I love this animated history of Poland and I think it's good way to show another people basic knowledge about Polish histry. But sometimes I think you need to know a background to understand some events. As a student of history at Polish University I found that Polish people like to glory their history (I also glory it as a Polish), but I look at it with a background, because it can change everything. For example Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, you have so many background events that show it was really hard to make it, it was so many civil wars and treasons. You had so many politic conflicts between Polish, Rus (Belarusians, Ukrainians) and Lithuanian people. Even only between Polish people.
Backgrounds very often show how hard was a history (sometimes also funny) and with bigger view at it, you can glory it even more and find it funny and more interesting 😅
My best recommendation is go back to school, you suck at history.

Jak nie umiesz się normalnie porozumiewać to przynajmniej się ucz języków a nie wytykaj rzeczy mądrzejszym od ciebie. Z resztą po orto widać, że jeszcze nawet po Polsku poprawnie nie umiesz mówć, więc powodzenia.

966 - baptism of Poland during the reign of Mieszko I
1000 - symbolic coronation of Bolesław Chrobry as King of Poland by Emperor Otto III during the convention in Gniezno
1018 - Bolesław Chrobry's expeditions to Kiev (the city was seized after the great battle in Volhynia, according to the legend of Chrobry, he was to strike the Golden Gate in the then conquered Kiev, from which the sword called Szczerbec / the coronation sword of Polish kings /)
1000-1100 - illustrates the battles of the Polish State with the German Empire during the times of Bolesław the Brave and his son Mieszko II (he was one of the most educated rulers of Europe at that time, knew several languages and could write in Latin)
1110-1200 - depicts the battle in Psie Pole and the fight against the Ruthenians and the beginning of the division into the district (from 1138)
1200-1300 - the Tatar invasion, state consolidation and the process of unification after the division into districts (which lasted almost 200 years until 1320)
1226 - bringing the Teutonic Knights by Konrad of Mazovia and the establishment of the Teutonic State

To przykre, bo chciałoby się, aby tak było. My już przyjacielu dawno temu przegraliśmy. Nasz kraj został sprzedany, spójrz sobie co się stało ze spółką PGNiG, historia tej firmy idealnie obrazuje co się u nas dzieje. My mieszkamy na ziemi bogatej w surowce naturalne, nawet ropę naftową. Powinno być u nas bogactwo, natomiast to wszystko będzie pompowane w USA, ten kraj nas kupił. My już z tym nic nie zrobimy, możemy tylko liczyć na to, że będzie im zależało, aby ludziom żyło się w miare dobrze.

Każde państwo jest mniej lub bardziej zależne od usa, niestety. To powiązanie do zachodu dotyczy wielu państw europejskich. Ze wsparciem USA mamy ochronę i środki na wzmacnianie sił militarnych. Taka Rosja nas nie zaatakuje, bo gdyby to zrobiła, musiałaby walczyć nie tylko z Polską, ale z wieloma innymi członkami NATO. Dla mnie lepiej, żebyśmy funkcjonowali w taki sposób, niż żebyśmy nie funkcjonowali w ogóle.
Mam tylko nadzieję, że kiedyś Polską zacznie rządzić jakaś porządna partia.
Jak mamy "coraz lepiej" jak rząd żydków- chazarów okrada Polskę, wydaje okropne decyzje, ustawy i robi wszystko przeciw Polsce.
