Hi, I love watching your videos!! And the coral reef idea is something I enjoy as well!! Maybe throw in some Euphorbia Lactea Cristata Coral Cactus. It’s kind of rare here in Texas, but maybe not there. It would be cool. Also, maybe some Crassula Gollum, even some fire sticks. Keep up the awesome videos! My wife and I have been crazy into succulents but struggle a bit being in Texas. However, I enjoy the inspiration of your videos!
One key thing for the reefs is to stack the rocks as high as possible. The higher it is the more it will look like a reef. You can never have too many rocks. I always underestimate. Fill all the crevasse with soil and insert starfish shaped aloes, round euphorbias, etc. Limit plants with flowers or normal shaped leaves. The weirder the better for a reef. Alluoudia also looks great in the reef. Add old chains or big sea shells also.
Im so excited about you doing a coral reef theme, and now a preview of the plants ... Uggh! Cant wait!! Would love to have a nursery like that near me! Stunning plants and selection
What a wonderful plant nursery, the quality of the plants are top notch. You seem to have bought an awful lot of plants so I'm guessing the coral reef project is going to be impressive!
Yes! I bought a large string of bananas for cheap because it had spider webs, eggs and spiders in it. I took it home, cleaned it up and it has given me lots more plants. I’m not afraid of no spiders! 😊
I am so excited! Your seascape raised bed installation in Carlsbad is my top favorite (I have many). I wish I was within driving distance from the succulent growers here. Those plants are making me cry!
Your videos always inspire me to buy more and explore with these plants, thanks and respect ✊ to team DFS . Any especially to you and your family respected mam
Really exciting plans coming together and I can’t wait to see the results! Is the upcoming Master Class going to be able to provide the plants? I’m specifically thinking of that gorgeous euphorbia…very hard to find in Ohio ;)
Beautiful plants. I can't wait to see the coral reef being worked on.. Laura are there any succulents that can be outside in zone 8b? I want some outside. I have a few indoors. But it would be awesome to have some for the outdoors too. But unclear what is safe to grow outdoors in my zone area
Question... How long does it take for these nurseries to get some of these plants to the sizes they are? I mean, the big barrels have to take like 15-20 years to get that size... Or do they give them prime conditions to grow faster as opposed to in the landscape/in habitat?
Thank you for sharing beautiful and amazing succulents have a blessed day

I’ve always loved how similar desert plants and coral look similar especially for living in opposite situations.
Great point! I never thought about it that way before🤯
Thanks Bigly Laura and Greg! You've just taken Tips of The Day to a whole new level. EPIC!

I love these little behind the scenes videos. I find them so interesting. The rock yard (if you haven't seen, go there next) was super interesting.
Shopping for succulents? I’m in! I especially love the clearance section or buying smalls and watching them grow up and have babies. 🥰
Can’t wait to see all these beautiful succulents come together for a coral reef.❤️❤️

I love the clearance sections at nurseries. My husband can’t believe how pretty the plants look after being “cleaned up” a little.

Can the public visit Oasis Waterwise gardens to pick out and buy plants?
Yep!
You need one of those white euphorbias, not sure what the name is.

Exactly. Fertilizer and prime conditions equals fast growth😊
Thankfully I'm 30 miles away or I would have spent all my retirement savings and be destitute.
