Nice video. What do you mean by conceit? When you talk about something that is an abstract thing such as death ,do we call the literary device "apostrophe" or"personification". I am confused. could you kindly explain with definitions of both these terms
The apostrophe (' or ’) character is a punctuation mark, and sometimes a diacritical mark, in languages that use the Latin alphabet and some other alphabets. In English it is used for several purposes:[1] The marking of the omission of one or more letters (as in the contraction of do not to don't). The marking of possessive case of nouns (as in the eagle's feathers, or in one month's time). The marking of plurals of individual characters (e.g. p's and q's). From Wikipedia
Personification is a figure of speech where human qualities are given to non-living objects. In the arts, personification means representing a non-human thing as if it were human. Personification gives human traits and qualities, such as emotions, desires, sensations, gestures and speech, often by way of a metaphor. Personification is much used in visual arts. Examples in writing are "the leaves waved in the wind", "the ocean heaved a sigh" or "the Sun smiled at us". In easy language personification is just giving an example of a living being for a non-living thing. From simple Wikipedia
