How do I screen record a zoom meeting with audio using my iPad mini 4. The video was crystal clear but, there was no sound. The speaker was talking but, you could not hear him. I appreciate any advice that you can give me. Thank you, Tinny
HI Taybekillin, first make sure you've upgrade your iPad OS and the Zoom app to the most recent versions. And then make sure you follow the steps on this page support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005890803-iOS-screen-sharing especially all the way down at the bottom for audio.
Hi Abrar, if you are sharing the entire screen on your iPad apparently the annotation tools will not work as per this page: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005706806-Using-annotation-tools-for-virtual-meeting-collaboration
Thanks for the 2videos on zoom very helpful. I have an ipad pro 5gen. I was doing a zoom meeting with camera on. I had a 15 min presentation. My notes where on my ipad. When I switched to see my notes it automaticly turned my camera off so the audience could not see me. How do I see my notes and also have my camera on?
Fantastic information, thank you. I found your videos because I’ve been asked to give some lectures on line and I only have my iPad Pro with me. These two videos (this one and the one it follows from) have been fantastic!! I will probably have to make a ‘cheat sheet’ I can quickly refer to during the lectures for sharing content and so on...
This video on using zoom on the ipad and iphone was the best that I have viewed. You presentation was very clear… btw.. i did watch the first video and both compliment each other… do you have move videos like this one…. I want to see more of your presentations
Hi Kristin, I know that you can Split Screen on the iPad while you're in a Zoom meeting, but I do not believe that you can SHARE that Split Screen. Sorry about that!
You were incredibly helpful. It takes a while to get the you tube video running again. Any suggestion for having it set on my iPad and just click it to start. Can I save it?
Thank you Pam! Not sure why RUclips takes a while to load, but if you can find a way to save a RUclips video as a local file to your iPad then yes, you should be able to just play the video that way which could be much faster and easier.
Hi @Christina A. great question! You'll need to share the "whiteboard" on your iPad and just make sure your settings allow participants to annotate on the whiteboard. You can see my earlier video on how to share the whiteboard: ruclips.net/video/KIdodM2dvxA/видео.html
Hello, your both videos have been a great help. I want to know where the video get saved when I am hosting a webinar? When I use screen recorder with zoom it doesn't get saved..
Hi @vaidehi joshi and thank you for your comment! Glad the videos have been a help. When you record a meeting from your iPhone or iPad it goes to the Zoom cloud recording, and you can access the recording by logging into Zoom from a computer. See support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/203066759-Recording-on-iOS-and-Android
Hi Brett. Great information. I just started teaching yoga on Zoom and would like to know how can I play background music while teaching my class? Thanks
Yes you can record a meeting from an iPad or iPhone, but ONLY as a cloud recording - you cannot record locally. You can read more at this link: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/203066759-Recording-on-iOS-and-Android
Thank`s a lot, you are Reality helpfull. Is there Andy possibility on IPad to have music in the background and at the same time I would like to show my live yoga lesson
Hi faszien yes if you follow the instructions on this page: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005890803-iOS-screen-sharing including the items at the very bottom, you should be able to share the audio from your iPad while you're in a Zoom meeting but I will tell you I've heard from several folks that the volume can't be turned up all that much.
@@vicentcade6548 I believe when you plug the lavalier microphone into the iPhone, it's trying to use that connection for BOTH input and output. You're going to need either a splitter so that you can plug BOTH the microphone and headphones into the bottom of the iPhone, or plug the microphone in as normal, but then use wireless headphones connected to the iPhone via Bluetooth for hearing.
Thank you PinkDuck - you cannot save your chat history locally from the iPad, but you can save it to the cloud if you have a subscription to Zoom. See support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115004792763-Saving-in-meeting-chat
Thanks for this video on how to play back RUclips videos. I did all the steps you highlighted and then linked a RUclips video. The video played very well. But without any sound. I am using a 2020 iPad Pro big screen size. My iPad Pro settings have been fixed but still zero sound. How to I get the sound to play in zoom?
@Andy Lowe just to be sure are you selecting "Screen Share" option to Share Content from the Zoom app and NOT the "Website" option? Just wanted to make sure as the "website" option will not play audio - you have to select "Screen Share." And then at the very bottom of this page: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005890803-iOS-Screen-Sharing do you see the "Share Device Audio" button? I'm wondering if you're able to toggle that button on and off.
Hi @Florida Prison Talk you might need to make sure that Zoom has permission to access your microphone, and that might require you to delete and re-install the Zoom app. Plus make sure you follow all of the instructions on this page support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005890803-iOS-screen-sharing especially the very bottom on "Screen Sharing Audio."
Hi @Piano Key that's a really cool idea, but I'm afraid when you connect an external monitor with something like Apple's Lightning Digital AV Adapter (www.apple.com/shop/product/MD826AM/A/lightning-digital-av-adapter) it just mirrors your iPad screen, so it would not show a separate camera view.
Hi Grizzly, unfortunately no, at least not on the iPad. If you're screensharing on the iPad you won't be able to see the Zoom participants until you switch back to the Zoom app.
Is there a way to continue to see the video of the presenter and all the participants of a zoom meeting while sharing video in zoom on the iPad? This is possible on a PC but I’m having trouble doing this on my iPad.Thanks!
These tips are great, although I do have 1 question. When I play the youtube video via my iPad the sound is very low. I've checked my volume and it is at 100%. I don't seem to have the same issue if using a laptop. Any ideas how to fix this?
Hi @Tilly Russell hmm, not exactly sure why this would be so, but have you checked the volume slider on the actual RUclips video? If you tap the video in RUclips there should be a volume slider in the bottom left corner - see if adjusting that makes any difference.
I have the same problem with audio volume. You tube videos don’t seem to have a volume control that I can see. Other Zoom participants can hear the video sound fine, but it’s very faint for me as the host. Thanks for all your tips, they have been very useful.
@@AppsinLaw hi brett, i hope you doing great .. i have a question, was wondering maybe you can help me .. i want to record using ZOOM app with my ipad screen but i dont want all the battons on the top of the screen to show on the video when i record, is there an aption to hide them so they son show on the video or not ? cheers and thank you in advance !
Hi @Jeffrey Dimsdale unfortunately you are NOT able to manage breakout rooms from an iPad ... you can JOIN and participate in breakout rooms, but you cannot MANAGE them.
I am hosting a number of meetings and want to use the break out rooms option. This would help with the handcrafts focus of the meeting and maximise socialising across participants. Please advise .
Hi @Carolyn Merry unfortunately you cannot manage breakout rooms on the iOS app yet - that can only be done from the Zoom desktop software. You can JOIN breakout rooms from the iPad app, but you cannot manage breakout rooms on the iPad.
Hi Lisa, yes you should be able to do all of this, but make sure you follow the instructions on this page support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005890803-iOS-Screen-Sharing all the way down to the bottom to enable "Screen sharing audio." However, there have been several complaints about the audio from a shared source is difficult to hear in a Zoom meeting.
I’m using my iPad Air 4 for Zoom meeting. 1. When I use share screen to broadcast video, the sound on my iPad is very soft even though I tried to increase the volume. How can I adjust the volume on my iPad. 2. When in share screen mode, is there a way to show the participants on my screen? Thanks
Hi Marcus, yes I've heard from several folks that they have the issue with low volume when playing a video or audio from their iPad. The only thing I can suggest is to make sure you turn up the volume slider on the item that you're playing to see if that helps. For example, if you're playing a RUclips video, turn up the volume on the RUclips video ... not the iPad volume. Don't know if that will help but that's the only thing I can offer.
And for your second question, unfortunately when you are sharing your screen on the iPad, you will not be able to see the participants. That's because you're switching out of the Zoom app to show your screen. Sorry there's no way to change this.
Obrigado…
Hi recently did a zoom meeting then i shared my screen. but my participants wants to see my face. But since i'm on the different app the video is off. How to still on the video while screen sharing my powerpoint
Hi kimmy yu unfortunately this is the way Zoom works on the iPad - if you switch to a different app, the video of your face will pause. Right now, there is no way to do this any differently. Sorry!
I'm using an iPad. When I tap the "+" icon to select a new virtual background, the window that pops up only has one image in it and is labeled "recent". How do I load more pics into it? I definitely have more pics on my iPad in "Photos"... What is the connection there? Thank You...
Hi @Nikosi9 when that window pops up with "Recents" there should be a tiny left-pointing arrow in the upper left corner of that window. That should take you to your list of albums in your Photos app so you can select another album there. Also, just jump into your Photos app to see what albums have photos in them.
Hi Tranform I'm afraid that is the default action when using Zoom on the iPad - if you share another app like PowerPoint, your Zoom video will be paused and your audience will see your profile picture. I'm afraid this is all due to the security settings on the iPad.
I have 12.9 inch iPad Pro-2020 and I need help with screen settings for Zoom - my screen is vertical and I cannot fix it to the regular (wide) layout. How do I fix this?
Hi Cristina, open your Control Center and check to see if you have "screen rotation" on lock - that's usually what prohibits the iPad screen from rotating. See if that helps and let us know!
Hi Roll with Liz, unfortunately you cannot record a Zoom meeting directly to your iPhone, as a local recording. But you can record a Zoom meeting to the "Zoom cloud." You can follow these steps: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/203066759-Recording-on-iOS-and-Android and after your meeting is over, you can log into your Zoom account on a computer, and you should be able to access the stored recording there. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching!
@@ROLLWITHLIZ In order to record from an iPad or iPhone, you have to be the host of the meeting, and you do need to be a licensed user of Zoom - you cannot record with a free Zoom account.
Hi I'm sorry I don't think the iPad mini 4 will support virtual backgrounds. The iPad mini 4 came out in 2015 but the iPads that are supported are from at least 2017 and 2018.
Hello! I have a problem. Every time time I join a zoom meeting my camera from iPhone is turning wide angle mode or 0.5x( from iPhone 11 Pro) and I can not switch to the usual camera! How can I solve this problem? @Apps in Law
Hi @Cristian is this the front-facing camera or the rear-facing camera? I don't believe the front-facing camera (the selfie camera) can do wide angle mode. And if this is the rear-facing camera, try "pinching" the screen with your thumb and forefinger to bring the camera back to normal angle.
Great information. Thanks for sharing this. Can I use a video background from a video that resides in my photos on my iPad pro? I tried but only the photos showed.
Hi @Judi Morningstar to my knowledge right now the iPad only support IMAGES for virtual backgrounds and can't support VIDEO background (yet - I'm hoping they will support this soon).
Hi, I liked your video, I got a question how can I record my meetings with audio, every time I do it, it only records the pictures but the audio is somehow gone. Please help me!
Hi Rolando, are you recording the video to the "Zoom cloud" and making a "cloud recording"? And is that only recording the pictures? You might need to log on to your Zoom account and make sure everything is set up properly for the recording. You are not able to record a meeting locally to your iPad.
Thank you Brett. I have researched many tutorials and yours is the best because its specific. I subscribed to your channel. My question, If I want to show six photos, bur I want to discuss after each photo. do I put the six photos, then show the photo, then go back to remove the share the photo then discuss again. them repeat the process ?
Hi Margie and thank you for subscribing! If I properly understand your question, here is what I would do: I would first go into my Photos apps and put the photos I plan to show into albums. That way, when I'm in the Zoom meeting I can tap "Share Content" and then I can select the album I want to show and those pictures from that specific album. You can create as many albums as you need and then stop and share whichever albums you need to show. Let me know if that helps!
Hi Vinka, yes I believe that Zoom updated the iPad app to show 16 at once in the Gallery IF you have a larger iPad such as the 12.9" iPad Pro. If you have a smaller iPad I believe you are still limited to 9.
Hi @Gaming with Indie I'm afraid that the newer Zoom video filters are only available for the desktop application on PC and Mac - you can't get them on an iPad or iPhone (yet - I'm hoping they will support them soon).
Thank you for your tips! Why does the volume of the videos go down to a very muted sound when the zoom app is turned on? (as well as with screen sharing). Would appreciate any insightful info! thank you!
Hi @Mimibear M yes I keep hearing this from several people and I'm hoping this is something that Zoom is addressing. But try making sure that you turn up the volume on the actual video (e.g. RUclips) in addition to the iPad volume and see if that helps. Not sure that it will, but you can try. I'm looking into this.
Hi, re: screen sharing on iPad. When I share my screen/ broadcast, is there a way to see my meeting participants at the same time? I have tried to launch presentations from the share content > Dropbox or Drive, but it doesn’t work in the presentation function, only shows the file inside Drive or Dropbox, etc. Thank you for your help!
Hi @Dani Fazio, I'm afraid when you share you screen on the iPad or iPhone you are looking at your screen, and you cannot see the meeting participants at that time - you would have to stop screen-sharing to see participants again.
Apps in Law thanks for your reply! Are you familiar with any way to offer a course presentation (PPT, keynote, mov file) in Zoom on iPad that allows for participants to also see me (live, not icon) and for me to see them?
@@danifazio2148 You can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that when you are showing a PPT in a Zoom meeting from your iPad, the meeting participants can still see YOU ... but you just can't see everyone else. But unfortunately, there is no way for you to see everyone when you're sharing your iPad's screen.
When I present using a PowerPoint is it possible for participants to still see me speaking? I tested this out, but my friend could only see the power point.
Hi Amanda, unfortunately when you are just using an iPad to present your PowerPoint it cannot show BOTH your screen and your video. The best way around this is to use a computer to start the Zoom meeting and then share the PowerPoint either from your computer, or share your iPad screen through your computer.
Hi Miss J I've heard this complaint from several other folks as well, and I'm afraid there is no way to boost the volume of what you're sharing. I'm not sure why this is a problem, but when you share a video through Zoom it seems that the volume can't be raised that high. Maybe try turning up the volume on the video or music station instead of the iPad general volume, but not sure if that will make enough difference.
I have found that the only way I can control this besides turning up the volume, which helps but is still not loud enough, is to use a headset with a mic myself and to ask my participants to also use headsets with a mic if they also need to speak.
Hi @Cyndy Landstar you can record a Zoom meeting to the Cloud from your iPad, but you cannot record a Zoom meeting locally on your iPad. See: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/203066759-Recording-on-iOS-and-Android And you need to be the host of the meeting in order to record the Zoom meeting to the Cloud from your iPad. Hope that helps!
HI. can you help with the chat function on iPad/Iphone? I can't seem to be able to copy the chat conversation out to a document (like when everyone puts in their contact info) TIA
Hi @Balloons by Amanda I know you can copy a chat history from the desktop Zoom software, but I don't believe that is possible on the iOS app. Probably the best option is to take screenshots of the chat on your iPad. They won't be searchable, but at least it's one way to preserve the chat.
Hi @Larin Hussein do you mean the new video filters in Zoom? I'm afraid those aren't available for iOS yet - only on the desktop software for Zoom (Windows and Mac).
Hi Allard, your iPad model should handle screen sharing just fine - please make sure you that you've updated both the iOS AND the Zoom app to the most recent versions. Also check under the Settings under Zoom to make sure you've given Zoom permission to use your camera and microphone.
Hi Sea Stories, unfortunately you cannot record a meeting locally on an iPad. Your only option is to record the meeting to the Cloud on your Zoom account, but in order to use this, you must a be licensed user of Zoom or else you won't see the record button - see support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/203741855-Cloud-recording
Brett, I'm a music teacher and I use Zoom for lessons. The audio on the Ipad peaks out when my students are playing. Is it possible to add an external mic to an ipad on Zoom?
Hi @Sherwood Hawkins first, yes it is possible to use an external microphone with an iPad on Zoom. You'll just need to make sure you get a microphone that can connect with the iPad version that you have - using a Lightning connection or USB-C. Second, you should also consider having your students turning off or on the "Original Sound" option in Zoom which affects Zoom's sound suppression. See support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115003279466-Enabling-option-to-preserve-original-sound and support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360046244692-Background-noise-suppression
How do you get the video to save to your phones videos and how do you get the audio to come in? I’m having audio problems , I can record the video but I can’t get the audio
Hi @Dajee K are you talking about when you share the screen from your iPhone or iPad? If that is the case, there is an "Audio" button that shows when you share your screen that may need to be activated.
Recently I joined a meeting on zoom using an iPad. Most of the paticipant's video screens were in landscape mode but mine was in portrait mode. I could not figure out how to change my screen to landscape mode. Can you help with this?
Hi Mangal, your iPad should be able to go into Portrait just by rotating the iPad. But if it doesn't work, go into your Control Center and make sure your screen rotation isn't locked in position.
I need to know how to have my zoom participants watch and listen to a video using "screen", as well as have the audio playing along with the video in the room for live participants.
Your meeting participants should be able to hear what you're showing, as long as you have selected "Share Device Audio." Scroll all the way down to the bottom of this page: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005890803-iOS-screen-sharing and make sure you are following all of those steps, and let us know if that helps. The only thing I have heard from others is that sometimes the audio for your meeting participants is not very loud.
Hi @Dhanasari Ghimire are you playing sound from a RUclips video or something similar? If yes, try raising the volume on the actual video in addition to the volume controls on your iPhone/iPad.
@@andylowe4103 if you have anything else open while watching RUclips the other apps steal sound. Like I’ve had zoom and FaceTime open while watching this video and I couldn’t hear him. I even rebooted my iPad. I realized it was having zoom open or FaceTime open while watching the video. Very strange problem
How do you share audio only? There are so many videos out there where they hit share content and an option for computer audio pops up. On my Ipad/phone it does not. I can’t figure this out at all.
Thanks so much! I’m having an issue with screen sharing a RUclips video - I’m following all the steps (making sure my microphone is on), but it is like my iPad is muting the sound for the video. I can barely hear it even with my volume all the way up. Is there another setting I’m missing?
Hi @Janna Bisceglia Engell yes I have been hearing about this issue and hopefully Zoom will address this soon (make sure you check for updates to the Zoom app). But try turning up the volume on the actual RUclips video (in addition to the iPad volume) and see if that helps. Not sure that it will, but I will continue to look into this.
Hi Althea, everything that I've covered in this video and my first one (ruclips.net/video/KIdodM2dvxA/видео.html) will apply to the iPad mini2 as well! Good luck!
That and the other video was very helpful, thank you! Since the camera on the iPad is on the side while connected to the keyboard, is there a way to connect an external webcam or anything else? Thank you -
Hi @Jeff Turner I'm afraid it's not possible to connect an external webcam to an iPad. I've seen some people jump through some elaborate hacks to kind of make this work, but it's not easy. Most people just use the iPad camera from the side, but I hear what you're saying that it's a little awkward in that "landscape" mode. One person I know uses a separate bluetooth keyboard connected to the iPad instead of the Apple keyboard just so they can put the iPad in "portrait" mode to type in chat or similar.
Hi. I just got a new Ipad Pro and when I tap Screen Share it starts with Photos. There is no drop down that says Screen. I have no idea what to do. I want to share music from Spotify like I do on my laptop from Computer Audio only. But the Ipad is so different. And it does not have the "Screen" option to even attempt to do what you are doing. Any thoughts? Also having it record an hour long yoga class every time into my photos is annoying to have to delete after the class, just to play music. I am afraid the Ipad purchase to record classes may have been a mistake.
Hi @IAEA Student Show I'm afraid this is not possible directly from Keynote - if you jump out of the Zoom app to show a Keynote presentation, your camera will turn off while you show the Keynote presentation. But here's a trick that might work: If you export your Keynote slides each as a JPG image, and save those images into your Photos, you could add each of those photos in the Zoom app to your virtual background stack and then change your virtual background each time you want to change. That takes a little bit more work, but it should work.
Thank you for your informative videos! I noticed that there is a difference in how the video is displayed, when the phone or iPad is vertical or horizontal. Either direction still doesn't show a full screen, like when on a laptop. Do you know how phones or ipads can be viewed to fill the frame (without the black frame/border), like when using a laptop?
Hi @newgreaterlovevideos thank you for viewing! Not sure if you can completely erase the black frame/border on an iPhone or iPad, but when someone is showing their screen, you might be able to pinch to zoom with your finger and thumb to see if you can re-size the video.
Hi! I use ipad in zoom meetings. I just recently bought an ipad pro 2021 and i noticed that when i join zoom meetings, the audio sometimes (and now has become more frequent) doesn’t work. I cannot hear what the other participant. When i try skype, the screen says “on hold” until the call disconnects.. what do you think can be the problem? I hope you can help me. Big thanks
Hi Jeramy, my first recommendation would be to use a pair of AirPods or wired EarPods with the iPad to see if that helps. I'm not totally sure why the audio would go out, but just make sure you're connecting to "Internet Audio" inside Zoom, and use a pair or headphones to get the best possible audio.
Hi @Sushma Sud have you walked through the steps in the video to enable "screen recording" on your iPad? And then once you start a meeting and share your screen, just make sure that the audio portion is turned on for the screen share.
Hi @Grace Linn unfortunately there is no way to create or manage breakout rooms on the iPad. You can JOIN breakout rooms from the iPad, but you cannot MANAGE breakout rooms from the iPad. See support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206476313-Managing-Breakout-Rooms
Hi @Debe Wilson if you follow all the steps I outline in the video for sharing your screen from an iPhone or iPad, you will be able to share ANY app that you have on your iOS device. It doesn't have to be just a video. Once you share your screen on your iPad or iPhone, it will show your Zoom meeting participants whatever you see on your screen.
Hi @Pamela Nunes you may need to make sure you give the Zoom app permission to share/view your screen - that is usually an iOS action and not specific to the Zoom app. Just make sure you follow all the steps outlined in this help file: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005890803-iOS-Screen-Sharing
Hi Janelle, I know that you can manually save chat messages on your computer, but I don't see an option to manually save chat messages on the iPad. If you have a paid account, and host a meeting, you might be able to save chat messages in the Cloud under your Zoom account online.
Hi Brett. Thank you for the great tips! I’m a teacher and I’ve been considering to get an ipad for online teaching. The thing is I always need to track my student’s progress or write notes during presentation. So is it possible to use screen sharing and multi screen at the same time on an ipad? Thanks in advance!
Hi @Aisyah Jazuli and thanks for the kind words! Unfortunately I don't believe you to screenshare and multi-task on an iPad at the same time during a Zoom meeting. If you're screen sharing from an iPad in a Zoom meeting, then that is what's showing in the Zoom - your screen share, and your camera is turned off while you're doing that (your audio stays on). And you really can't do a whole lot else in the Zoom app while you're screen sharing from the iPad - I'm afraid that's just the limitations of the iPad vs. a desktop computer. Does that answer your question?
Is it possible one screen sharing for that initial warning and selecting of zoom not to show up? I’ve noticed when some of my colleagues are sharing it automatically goes from the zoom screen to what they want us to see. So if they are going to share a RUclips video it automatically goes from Zoom straight to the RUclips video. There’s no extra clicking a button in between.
I'm not aware of an option to skip that initial screen - they may be switching so fast that you do not see it on the Zoom meeting, but I don't think there is an option to hide the screen during the switch.
Hi @Doug MacDougall first I would just make sure that you're not wearing a green color in your clothes if you're using a green screen. Next, does the problem happen with a different color background or picture?
Hi @Jazim Mendez unfortunately you cannot manage breakout rooms from the iOS app, just on the desktop software - see support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206476313-Managing-Breakout-Rooms
Frank are you using the headphones and microphone that came with your iPhone or iPad? Or just listening through the built-in speakers? If possible, I would advise using the headphones and see if that fixes the issue.
Hi Robert, I'm not completely sure that you can livestream to Facebook from your iPad, but if you can, make sure you first go to your Zoom account settings on the web and enable Facebook for live streaming. Also, you might need a paid account to do this.
I want to play Spotify during my zoom call. I understand how to share screen and get Spotify but how do I still see all my participants? The screen is big white screen and I am very small.
Hi Belle Talks, great to hear that you've been able to screenshare. Unfortuantely, when you share your screen on your iPad, you won't be able to see your video or your participants.
Hi @Katie Petch you can only JOIN breakout rooms on the iPad but you cannot CREATE or MANAGE breakout rooms from the iPad - that can only be done from the Zoom desktop software on a Windows or Mac computer. See support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206476313-Managing-Breakout-Rooms
Hi Cheryl make sure you follow the instructions on this page: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005890803-iOS-screen-sharing including the items at the very end. That should allow audio to be heard by participants, but I will tell you that I've heard from many folks that the audio is very low for participants and no one can find a way to turn it up a lot.
@@cherylreinell857 Yes I'm afraid it may not be possible - I've just heard from many people that they can successfully show a video and play audio through Zoom on their iPad, but that the participants can't hear it well. The only thing that seems to work is if you ask your participants to put on headphones or earbuds, and that allows them to hear a little bit better. But otherwise I'm afraid it is something between the iPad and Zoom that does not allow the volume to go up more.
Hi @Sunny Tan I'm afraid on the iPhone or iPad you cannot have the camera on while you're sharing your screen. You can do this on a Mac or Windows PC, but not on the iPhone or iPad.
I joined a zoom meeting on my iPad and the top row of participants had the tops of their heads cut off, has anyone else experienced this? How do you fix it?
Oh my, I haven't heard of that before! That is weird. Best recommendations I would say, is to make sure you update your Zoom app to the latest version in the App Store, and then maybe also force reboot your iPad, and see if that helps. Good luck!
Hi @Halawetaplays roblox if you don't have the virtual background option, it's possible that your iPhone or iPad do not support it. You need an iPhone 8 or higher, or the original iPad Pro or higher.
HOw do you handle sharing from the Music App with ZOOM? When I share the screen and start playing a song with the music app, there is no sound on my ipad or the participants... the sounds disappear... THis only happens with the music app and not in youtube or safari. How do you make the the music app play music over zoom?
Hi @Eileen Michaels on the main screen of the Zoom app on an iPhone or iPad you should see a blue "Schedule" button. When you tap that, you should see all the options for scheduling an upcoming Zoom meeting.
Annotation tool not working in zoom screen share mode
Brilliant thanks, have been trying to work out how to share video with audio
Oh great Frances! Glad it was helpful!
Hi @Greg Simmons thrilled to hear that that the videos were helpful! Thanks for posting!
Is it inverted when u used the ipad??
No, I don't believe the Zoom meeting is inverted.
Okay!! Thanks
This video on using zoom on the ipad and iphone was the best that I have viewed. You presentation was very clear… btw.. i did watch the first video and both compliment each other… do you have move videos like this one…. I want to see more of your presentations
Thank you for this video! Is it possible the split-screen and share screen the zoom app with another like, google workspace (for example)?
Hi Kristin, I know that you can Split Screen on the iPad while you're in a Zoom meeting, but I do not believe that you can SHARE that Split Screen. Sorry about that!
You were incredibly helpful. It takes a while to get the you tube video running again. Any suggestion for having it set on my iPad and just click it to start. Can I save it?
Thank you Pam! Not sure why RUclips takes a while to load, but if you can find a way to save a RUclips video as a local file to your iPad then yes, you should be able to just play the video that way which could be much faster and easier.
How can I allow my students to annotate/draw as I share my screen? (Through my iPad)
Hi Brett. Great information. I just started teaching yoga on Zoom and would like to know how can I play background music while teaching my class? Thanks
Is there a way to record zoom meetings within the zoom app with iPad or iPhone?
One option in the sharing menu is "Bookmark." Can I bookmark a URL and then open it in sharing mode on an iPad? I can do it on a PC.
I believe that is correct.
You did an excellent job explaining the features of zoom!
Wow Thank You Dawn! Truly appreciate the comment!
thank you sir your informative video. i have a question on how to set up your boya by-m2 lavalier microphone for zoom meeting in your iphone?
the participants can hear me loud and clear but I can't hear them... i have difficulty in setting up... tnx
Hi, Great videos, thank you so much. Can you tell me if it’s possible to save the chat on an iPad and if so how? Thanks.

Thanks again for another helpful tutorial.
Thank you @Howard Lenow! Always appreciate your support!
For some reason when I screen record there is no audio once I upload it.
You are such great help! How does one turn off their window, then return when they need to?
Thank you Dan! Do you mean the window for your video? The best way would be to just turn off your video camera from inside the Zoom app.
Is is possible to connect an HDMI cable to an iPad to have another camera view during a Zoom meeting?
Hi @Piano Key that's a really cool idea, but I'm afraid when you connect an external monitor with something like Apple's Lightning Digital AV Adapter (www.apple.com/shop/product/MD826AM/A/lightning-digital-av-adapter) it just mirrors your iPad screen, so it would not show a separate camera view.
Can you screen share and still see the zoom participant at the same time??

I have the very same issue.
Hi @Tilly Russell hmm, not exactly sure why this would be so, but have you checked the volume slider on the actual RUclips video? If you tap the video in RUclips there should be a volume slider in the bottom left corner - see if adjusting that makes any difference.
@@AppsinLaw Thanks for this. I will give it a try.
I have the same problem with audio volume. You tube videos don’t seem to have a volume control that I can see. Other Zoom participants can hear the video sound fine, but it’s very faint for me as the host. Thanks for all your tips, they have been very useful.

My video is being off when I’m sharing my screen like Ppt? How do I not allow that to happen? As I have to shown while explaining the PPT?
Hi Tranform I'm afraid that is the default action when using Zoom on the iPad - if you share another app like PowerPoint, your Zoom video will be paused and your audience will see your profile picture. I'm afraid this is all due to the security settings on the iPad.
I have 12.9 inch iPad Pro-2020 and I need help with screen settings for Zoom - my screen is vertical and I cannot fix it to the regular (wide) layout. How do I fix this?

Hi Roll with Liz, unfortunately you cannot record a Zoom meeting directly to your iPhone, as a local recording. But you can record a Zoom meeting to the "Zoom cloud." You can follow these steps: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/203066759-Recording-on-iOS-and-Android and after your meeting is over, you can log into your Zoom account on a computer, and you should be able to access the stored recording there.

Let me know if that helps!
is the gallery view on zoom consist max 9 grid on ipad pro 11? or can it be more? i saw on google it can be >16 at once

Can u make a video about how to use video filters on an Ipad or Iphone cuz I not know
Hi @Gaming with Indie I'm afraid that the newer Zoom video filters are only available for the desktop application on PC and Mac - you can't get them on an iPad or iPhone (yet - I'm hoping they will support them soon).
oh ok well i found another app that might help but thank you!
Also make sure you that check for updates to the Zoom app in case they fix it.

When I present using a PowerPoint is it possible for participants to still see me speaking? I tested this out, but my friend could only see the power point.
I Need this to. I have an presentation tomorrow, and Need to Show my Face.....
Hi Amanda, unfortunately when you are just using an iPad to present your PowerPoint it cannot show BOTH your screen and your video. The best way around this is to use a computer to start the Zoom meeting and then share the PowerPoint either from your computer, or share your iPad screen through your computer.
Ugh. Ok. iPad and iPhone is all I have to work with.
The volume when I share is very low. How do I make volume louder?
Hi Miss J I've heard this complaint from several other folks as well, and I'm afraid there is no way to boost the volume of what you're sharing. I'm not sure why this is a problem, but when you share a video through Zoom it seems that the volume can't be raised that high. Maybe try turning up the volume on the video or music station instead of the iPad general volume, but not sure if that will make enough difference.
I have found that the only way I can control this besides turning up the volume, which helps but is still not loud enough, is to use a headset with a mic myself and to ask my participants to also use headsets with a mic if they also need to speak.

@@AppsinLaw how about the virtual background in iPad mini 2
And thanks for the comments on the videos! Glad they were helpful!
Is it possible to “click through a Keynote Presentation” as a virtual background?
Hi @newgreaterlovevideos thank you for viewing! Not sure if you can completely erase the black frame/border on an iPhone or iPad, but when someone is showing their screen, you might be able to pinch to zoom with your finger and thumb to see if you can re-size the video.

@@AppsinLaw thanks for responding to my inquiry
How do I share from apps? I work as a paraeducator and often we are working in other apps such as Canvas, Go Formative, and Geogebra.
Thank you!
ok I got as far as sharing screen but how do i get videos on it . it is just a black screen
Can I save the chat on ipad?
What do you do when the virtual BG bleeds all over your body but not in the BG itself?
Hi @Doug MacDougall first I would just make sure that you're not wearing a green color in your clothes if you're using a green screen. Next, does the problem happen with a different color background or picture?
@@AppsinLaw I'd like to send you a screen shot...
How do you do breakout rooms on iPad?
Hi @Jazim Mendez unfortunately you cannot manage breakout rooms from the iOS app, just on the desktop software - see support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206476313-Managing-Breakout-Rooms
When I share a youtube video while sharing my screen the participants can hear it yet I Can not. Please help
Frank are you using the headphones and microphone that came with your iPhone or iPad? Or just listening through the built-in speakers? If possible, I would advise using the headphones and see if that fixes the issue.
Awesome job. Need help with being able to live stream to Facebook Live. RUclips is an option but not Facebook- help!!!!
I know how to you can use split view
Go watch a tutorial
When screen sharing, participant couldn’t see me but only my picture. Is it true? But it won’t happen when we use desktop. Thanks for your comment.
Do you know how to do breakout rooms on the ipad or even if it’s possible?
Hi @Katie Petch you can only JOIN breakout rooms on the iPad but you cannot CREATE or MANAGE breakout rooms from the iPad - that can only be done from the Zoom desktop software on a Windows or Mac computer. See support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206476313-Managing-Breakout-Rooms
@@AppsinLaw so as a teacher I can join and exit all the breakout rooms even though I cannot create them?
I still don’t have sound for the participants to hear the video I’m playing in screen share
@@AppsinLaw
Yes. That’s the problem. How do I turn up the volume on my iPhone or iPad?
And thank you for your help.
@@bburney2000
Ok. Thanks again.
How to have camera on while screen sharing?
Good luck!
My ipad dosent have a virtual background on the call settings 🥺 could you help me with a video
Hi @Halawetaplays roblox if you don't have the virtual background option, it's possible that your iPhone or iPad do not support it. You need an iPhone 8 or higher, or the original iPad Pro or higher.
Ok
I think it is because i have a samsung ipad
HOw do you handle sharing from the Music App with ZOOM? When I share the screen and start playing a song with the music app, there is no sound on my ipad or the participants... the sounds disappear... THis only happens with the music app and not in youtube or safari. How do you make the the music app play music over zoom?
Good question, I would like to hear the answer. For me, the audio is heard to the participants but very low for me.
How do I schedule a zoom meeting five days before the Zoom meeting is to take place?
Hi @Eileen Michaels on the main screen of the Zoom app on an iPhone or iPad you should see a blue "Schedule" button. When you tap that, you should see all the options for scheduling an upcoming Zoom meeting.
