Rita being killed and Deb finding out in Dexters apartment were the best moments in the show. My only disappointment was how Deb completely lost her mind once she found out. Woulda been so much cooler if she was able to understand.
This is one of the scenes that makes u realise dexter isnt a monster he does feel emotions due to him turing on the train and music disc for trinity even if to taunt him.
What is the name of the background music? I'm not talking about Vera but rather the music that plays at the start of the scene and ends when Dexter turns on the train.
"This isn't your doing, it's God's plan. God's plan was for me to kill people for decades to eventually be killed by another serial killer. Such a brilliant strategy for... whatever it was he was trying to do. Just brilliant."
In weird ways, this feels like the finale to the show. I know there's a lot of fans out there who'll agree the show never lived up to this quality again. (It was the finale for Clyde Phillips)
I do wonder why Dex decided to show him a bit of sympathy here? by turning on the train toy and playing the music since Dex pretty much never does stuff like this unless he's killing someone he cares about like Brian or Lila. but Trinity seemed to be someone he detested quite a bit so it does kinda confuse me why he decided to give him this bit of comfort in his final moments?
i think, despite arthur being a considerably more evil killer than dexter with his harming and abusing his own family, i think dexter still sort of felt some comradeship with mitchell as both being killers in secret due to something traumatic happening in childhood
I think it was small bit of respect and understanding on his end. He knew Trinity and himself weren’t much different in terms of their circumstances, and Trinity was the only serial killer that Dexter went against that was not only older and arguably more successful in the game, but someone who at several points had Dex by the balls and someone like Dexter enjoys a good game of chess I imagine. However, had Dex known about Rita’s fate beforehand, this would’ve ended *drastically* differently for Arthur. It would’ve been the first time besides what he did to his mother’s killer that the book version of Dexter would’ve reared his ugly head, and honestly, I would’ve loved to see that considering how deplorable Arthur was.
You know what's even more wild, The Netflix series "YOU" was inspired by this episode specifically because of this dialog 2:01 "so what's the alternative Arthur? Leave, Disappear, Fake my own death and start over again?" Then they came up with the title from what Arthur said to Dexter because he knew deep down you can't change who you are. 2:11 "No, you'd still be YOU" PFFT I'm just yappin, I have no idea🤷♂️

Nah I imagine he'd keep it in a place of honour, his most pristine of trophies
They did my girl Rita dirty
Imagine if Dexter already knew what he did To Rita here?
But then cleaned her up by putting her in the bath.
Too soon?
Rita's death is one of the few moments TV actually hit me at an emotional level, rather than seeing it as an outside observer.
@@JimKirksHandsomeBrotherSame man, same.
@JimKirksHandsomeBrother I usually don't feel much when watching shows or playing games but Rita's death genuinely shocked me, I didn't even expect that it would happen. Especially in such a horrific way.
this conversation is chilling after you know what happened
This was the best season. Change my mind.
oh i agree, by far.
No need. It is the best season by far.
it’s ok it’s extremely overhyped season 1-2 is still better plus the ending with Rita’s death is really bad like really bad
I still to this day can't believe that happy go lucky grandpa Lithgow could play such a genuinely scary dude.
did you not see him as a bad guy in cliffhanger? he was great in that too
@@FPInvention Nah I've missed that role entirely, thanks for the tip mate 👍
@@Isuukuu nice, enjoy!
@@Isuukuu another bad guy role Lithgow played was Ricochet in 1991 with Denzel by the way!
The greatest season of tv of all time imo
This is it. The moment Dexter becomes Heisenberg. 😭😭😭
No, that exact moment was when he went home and found Harrison alone eating popsicles and Rita dead in the tub.
2:11 bro spoiled entire new blood
Rita being killed and Deb finding out in Dexters apartment were the best moments in the show. My only disappointment was how Deb completely lost her mind once she found out. Woulda been so much cooler if she was able to understand.
Trinity was the most complex antagonist out of all in Dexter
Dexter won the battle against the trinity killer, but lost the war against him.
The twist when Dexter got home that night WTF 😮
0:47 ta-daaa no u were a very special kind of monster
That flick of the hammer was like "showtime"!!🤣
Third Rock from the Sun is on so I Googled this lol. Holy shit is John Lithgow talented.
"Have you even try to change?"
"I'd pray to be changed!"
😐
My favorite season, more Trinity stuff please 🖤
0:01 “Guess you were picturing a different scenari-o 😩”
Song is “Venus” by Frankie Avalon btw, classic
thank you so much i was lookin for this😂
Not the song I want, what’s the song at the beginning?
@@Freedom.7771 Some Dexter OST. Good luck finding it.
Imo, this was easily the best season of the series
Rip George Henderson for telling the Feds where Harry was
I'm 6 foot 6 and once convinced my wife that I was the actor of Harry lol.
This is one of the scenes that makes u realise dexter isnt a monster he does feel emotions due to him turing on the train and music disc for trinity even if to taunt him.
Child with a big knife 😂
This was the tipping point where Dexter went south. They killed Rita and every season got worse. Trinity was the best season.
What is the name of the background music? I'm not talking about Vera but rather the music that plays at the start of the scene and ends when Dexter turns on the train.
IVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT TOO. TAG ME IF YOU FIND OUT.
@@shamblestheclown”I accept nothing, nothing is inevitable”
I still can’t find it.
Knowing what happens in the next scene…. This was the best season
It's already over. That same quote he said to his victims before they died. He was telling Dexter that his ritual was complete (aka Rita).
At 2:20 Arthur laughs knowing Rita is dead and he doesn’t have a family anymore
I don't remember this episode of Three Rocks From The Sun.
You don't? George Hen protected Harry from the hunters. And this is the thanks he got.
At the end, Arthur should have left a message for Dexter in the Bathroom.
"Was it really worth it, Dexter?"
"This isn't your doing, it's God's plan. God's plan was for me to kill people for decades to eventually be killed by another serial killer. Such a brilliant strategy for... whatever it was he was trying to do. Just brilliant."
The only part that was God's plan was sending Dexter to admonish him before he died.
God was also admonishing Dexter, however.

The mention of Arthur’s name after the finale had Dexter shit scared 😭
In weird ways, this feels like the finale to the show. I know there's a lot of fans out there who'll agree the show never lived up to this quality again.
(It was the finale for Clyde Phillips)
This was a finale, because MCH knew he had cancer and no one knew if the show would go on.
@@MUsicplusSExisMUSE Oh wow. I knew MCH had cancer at one point but I didn't know it was at this time
@@alnobleman2884
He wears a wig in the first few episodes of S5
I used this as the series finale and S5 E1 as the epilogue for my latest rewatch. Felt really good; the show peaked here anyways.
absolute cinema 🙌
2:01 foreshadowing
He didn’t know trinity killed Rita either
my favorite moment in the entire show
Best scene of dexter 3:12
Yes... This made me feel sympathetic for trinity, knowing he killed many, but you understand the way he grew up made him this way
Trinity: its over
Dexter: he knows
You know what's even more wild, The Netflix series "YOU" was inspired by this episode specifically because of this dialog 2:01 "so what's the alternative Arthur? Leave, Disappear, Fake my own death and start over again?" Then they came up with the title from what Arthur said to Dexter because he knew deep down you can't change who you are. 2:11 "No, you'd still be YOU"
PFFT I'm just yappin, I have no idea🤷♂️
Does anyone know the name of the soundtrack that plays in the beginning of the video?
One of the Best seasons Ever !
Dexter kills 149 people and Trinity 249 people
When was Trinity's kill count confirmed?
@@spencerreid2086 I think it was stated somewhere, or you can find it on google with the source but he's killed around 300 people the show stated
"Leave. Disappear. Fake my own death and start over again?"
"No"
Oh if only.
I’ve always wanted to know where dexter prints all the victim photos. Does he have his own? It would be wildly suspect for one guy to constantly be printing these photos
It's so messed up how big a crush I had on Dexter
Lol same here
It still messes with me how Trinity knew that Dexter would never be able to escape his inner monster.
what's the song being played in the back when trinity dies?
Venus by Frank Avalon
