I have multiple piercings(all done by a professional), tattoos, have had major surgeries, have worked in a tattoo shop, and now have a medical degree. And this is both concerning and has literally hurt every part of me to watch. It was so so so scary. My gosh how I ever manage to sit through this is beyond me. Crazy.
I have bipolar too and this definitely seems familiar. I got a tattoo and piercing kit and did my bridge, snakebites and eyebrows, and tattooed my right forearm and chest during one episode. I definitely think she needs support and her parents need to keep a closer eye on her, especially when these piercings can go very wrong

@@RolyWestYT the blood condition you were wondering about is called Von Willabrand's disease and it's where the blood doesn't clot properly (I have a mild form of it) people can actually die from it in severe cases because they can bleed out.
I feel like this is a form of self H. No one should be hurting themselves and laughing at the sight of their own blood. Hopefully she gets the help she needs.

I really hope youtube takes her video down (if they haven’t already), because I worry that someone dealing with SH urges / mental health issues would see it and decide to copy her. Hope the girl ends up getting the care she needs Edit: People keep replying saying it isn’t SH, and that’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion. But whether she is doing it with the intent of hurting herself or not, some of the things she’s saying are still red flags to me. I was just trying to say from my experience being around people who hurt themselves and having done it myself, that this behavior seems like a lot of what I’ve seen. This. I have been in the same scenario pretty much as the girl in the video over 10 years ago. She's possibly having a manic episode, might have sh issues and it has kinda combined into self piercing during her "high" time. I also did the same with self-tattooing while manic and was doing sh too. All this time later I have these gross looking DIY tats as a reminder, lol. -.-Hope she's doing better now.
Same, I've done some self piercings myself, I did my own monroe piercing and didn't feel anything. Obviously, I was going through some dark times. She is definitely going through it, one victim to another, I can tell.
I used to watch her videos and she used to smoke weed. I smoke it sometimes and when i do Ive noticed my pain tolerance increases a bunch so im not surprised.

(I am diagnosed with bipolar disorder, I just noticed she displays a lot of symptoms of mania. She also reminds me of myself when I am manic. I'm bipolar too (type 2). For me it seems like she is inducing her mania with other things, and also not sleeping well (could be sh too) and the thing just get worse, because sleep for us is absolutely necessary. As someone who has Bipolar (been under control for decades btw) & did crazy stuff like this (but not this) as a teen, this girl definitely has some kind of mental health issues & behavior seeking behavior. The fact that she did more after the 1st video & didn't say she got in trouble, says her parents aren't giving her enough attention. This is also giving sh & is really really sad. There are so many things that could've gone wrong, hitting a nerve & paralyzing your face, infection, etc. She's lucky, but luck runs out.
I just went to her channel and did a quick browse of her videos and comments. So she might have been high when filming this, shes done videos previously with her smoking but shes since deleted them and trying to quit. She had a mix of straight up haters as well as people genuinely worried about her health /give genuine criticism and she and her fans seem to lob them all together. She seems to have some die hard fans who are thirsting hard after her, keep calling her pretty, asking her her age and if shes single etc. There's also a couple of comments in different videos saying they pierced themselves inspired by her. Obviously im not doing a deep dive on everything shes done and posted but that's the general gist of what I've seen

She uploaded a video of her giving herself dimples using clothing thread (not medical grade threads) and it got so severely infected but refused to go to the ER for MONTHSSS! When she finally went to get it checked out because her cheek had swollen up so much it affected her speech, the medics couldn’t get all the thread out because her skin had basically healed over the thread. She needed surgery to cut up her cheek and take it out but what she did instead was pull the infected thread out through her face. It was a story time type video but she had deleted it. I’m still scarred by it.

As somebody who's worked as a mental health nurse with kids/teens for almost a decade this made me very uncomfortable. Not even so much the piercings in themselves but the way she's so motivated by receiving views and such like its a validation for her self esteem. She's literally hurting herself on camera to be liked... what else is going on in this poor girls life for her to feel the need to keep doing this just to be seen. This kind of clout chasing becomes an addiction. This is very, very sad. As a professional ot isn't SH vibes, it's SH. It's not like she's keeping half the piercings, she's just using puercing as an excuse to hurt herself. And girl is clearly stoned too. So sad.

This IS self harm and a cry for help; when I was about 15 I pierced my lip using a thumb tack and an ice cube and didn't care or feel it much, but I was also used to cutting that it meant nothing. My dad made me take it out and scheduled me an appointment to have one done three days later. Also, the bleeding disorder where you don't clot is haemophilia; my brother has it; she's just drunk or downing tylenol because she would NOT stop if she were a haemophiliac.

@@LidaAlizadeh The most piercings a body can heal at once is 3, doing 11 piercings at once in unsanitary conditions is deliberate injury to one's self. As someone who has bipolar disorder (not saying she does) I used tattoos and piercings as a way to channel my emotional pain into physical, I never liked the actual feeling of getting it done, but the release of those pent up feelings. Ppl can tell you they're not suicidal, but that doesn't mean they aren't I know I've lied about it to ppl in the past. Her or you telling ppl this isn't self harm doesn't magically make it not self harm when it absolutely qualifies as SH. Dahlia piercings are incredibly hard to do and take a skilled, knowledgable piercer who understands basic anatomy. There are multiple key anatomy considerations when we are doing these. First and foremost is finding a “sweet spot” or a safe spot for piercing in the cheeks. Key muscles including the orbicularis oris and zygomatius muscles as well as parotid ducts, transverse and inferior facial arteries, and salivary ducts all run along the insides of our cheeks. She didn't even check to factor any of that into her thought process. These are also notoriously known for permanent teeth damage. You can look at things through rose tinted glasses for all I care, but let's not sit here and say "she's doing this to be quirky" she's either mentally ill, incredibly dumb, or just self destructive.
Yeah the fact she has zero pain reaction to any of it and is laughing at the blood pouring out of her freaks me out tbh. When you mentioned her being on something. I already felt that from the beginning. I thought she was on that buzz part when you drink a lot but not super drunk yet. You know that jolly feeling you get and you lose all your inhibition.

It is very obvious you truly care about people and you are amazing. As a mom to an 18 year old, seeing her do this makes me so worried for her and sad. I have had my tongue, belly button and 7 ear piercings and never bled enough to even see it. She is going to eventually hit an artery, capillary, vein or nerve and either really hurt herself or her parents are going to find her in her room. That sounds dramatic but with the face piercings especially, it is absolutely possible. The fact that the only indication she even felt any of this was the nose piercing making her eyes water, that is not normal.
My daughter is a similar age (18 in July) and I've taken her to most of her piercing appointments. She 100% knows its her body, her choice when it comes to piercings but I've also tried to educate on doing it properly. I'll hopefully be taking her to get her first tattoo too (she just wants a tiny little banger for her 18th so more than happy to help her find a good artist).

⚠️I think a trigger warning is worth mentioning for a video of hers I'm gonna describe, it's pretty graphic⚠️ She had a video which was a newer one that has since been taken down either by YT or herself. It was where she was describing wanting dimples and she saw a surgery online you can get to make dimples. It involves cutting the inside of your cheeks and stitching inside to kind of pull the skin inwards, so you get the dimple look. Well she actually tried this AT HOME, she didn't film it but she described what she did and showed the aftermath because it basically went very wrong. For a start it got infected and she said she was draining loads of pus out of it. And her main mistake was sewing the wound in her cheek with regular thread, not medical dissolving thread, so her cheek healed around it and it was stuck inside. She then described how she cut open her cheek again to try and get the thread out but she cut it too short and only got half. She said there was so much blood that she was swallowing mouth fulls at a time. Then at the end of the video she started cutting the inside of her cheek with a needle attempting to get the rest of the thread out but gave up saying she might have to go to the hospital but she was too scared to go. It's since been taken out I believe but I'm not sure by who. Piercings are one thing but that was absolutely insane. And she had pictures and short videos of her with the dimple she made as well as a short video of her in the bathroom mirror when she was trying to get the thread out the first time I believe, so yes she actually did do this.

Thank you for bringing up the potential injurys / medical bills. Most people in their late teens and early twenty’s have no idea how expensive diy piercing fails can be . They could hit a blood vessel or artery and cause major damage . There are so many people who end up with debt Becuse of how expense medical bills in the United States are. Even if you have insurance there are plenty of things insurance won’t pay for or will pay a minimal amount. It is way cheaper in the long run and safer to be pierced professionally .

I got a daith piercing 2 weeks ago (healing great!) and Roly I want to thank you for being the voice in my head that pops up every time I go to touch it with unwashed hands and stops me 😂 it’s an absent minded thing but my brain is finally getting not to touch it unless cleaning it. I was at my piercers for an hour for my Medusa because I bled so much (which is normal for me) and every time I tried to get off the piercing bed I almost passed out. So she gave me a candy I was only allowed to lick lol The piercing process was maybe 10 minutes 😂

I think you're 100% right that this is SH possibly caused by something deeper and she's more than likely on some sort of substance if not multiple. This actually kinda hurts to watch cause I was a lot like that as a kid dealing with multiple undiagnosed/unidentified issues and turned to SH and substances as an outlet. I have multiple piercings(all done by a professional), tattoos, have had major surgeries, have worked in a tattoo shop, and now have a medical degree. And this is both concerning and has literally hurt every part of me to watch. It was so so so scary. My gosh how I ever manage to sit through this is beyond me. Crazy.

I have bipolar too and this definitely seems familiar. I got a tattoo and piercing kit and did my bridge, snakebites and eyebrows, and tattooed my right forearm and chest during one episode. I definitely think she needs support and her parents need to keep a closer eye on her, especially when these piercings can go very wrong

As someone who used to SH and knew a lot of people who SH, this is literally just a video someone made of them doing SH. I really hope youtube takes her video down (if they haven’t already), because I worry that someone dealing with SH urges / mental health issues would see it and decide to copy her. Hope the girl ends up getting the care she needs
Edit: People keep replying saying it isn’t SH, and that’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion. But whether she is doing it with the intent of hurting herself or not, some of the things she’s saying are still red flags to me. I was just trying to say from my experience being around people who hurt themselves and having done it myself, that this behavior seems like a lot of what I’ve seen. She’s literally actively hurting herself with no intent to keep the piercings she’s putting herself in pain for.

She's possibly having a manic episode, might have sh issues and it has kinda combined into self piercing during her "high" time. As someone who has Bipolar (been under control for decades btw) & did crazy stuff like this (but not this) as a teen, this girl definitely has some kind of mental health issues & behavior seeking behavior. The fact that she did more after the 1st video & didn't say she got in trouble, says her parents aren't giving her enough attention. This is also giving sh & is really really sad. There are so many things that could've gone wrong, hitting a nerve & paralyzing your face, infection, etc. She's lucky, but luck runs out.
I just went to her channel and did a quick browse of her videos and comments. So she might have been high when filming this, shes done videos previously with her smoking but shes since deleted them and trying to quit. She had a mix of straight up haters as well as people genuinely worried about her health /give genuine criticism and she and her fans seem to lob them all together. She seems to have some die hard fans who are thirsting hard after her, keep calling her pretty, asking her her age and if shes single etc. There's also a couple of comments in different videos saying they pierced themselves inspired by her. Obviously im not doing a deep dive on everything shes done and posted but that's the general gist of what I've seen

She uploaded a video of her giving herself dimples using clothing thread (not medical grade threads) and it got so severely infected but refused to go to the ER for MONTHSSS! When she finally went to get it checked out because her cheek had swollen up so much it affected her speech, the medics couldn’t get all the thread out because her skin had basically healed over the thread. She needed surgery to cut up her cheek and take it out but what she did instead was pull the infected thread out through her face. It was a story time type video but she had deleted it. I’m still scarred by it.

As somebody who's worked as a mental health nurse with kids/teens for almost a decade this made me very uncomfortable. Not even so much the piercings in themselves but the way she's so motivated by receiving views and such like its a validation for her self esteem. This IS self harm and a cry for help; when I was about 15 I pierced my lip using a thumb tack and an ice cube and didn't care or feel it much, but I was also used to cutting that it meant nothing. My dad made me take it out and scheduled me an appointment to have one done three days later.
Also, the bleeding disorder where you don't clot is haemophilia; my brother has it; she's just drunk or downing tylenol because she would NOT stop if she were a haemophiliac.

As someone who has bipolar disorder (not saying she does) I used tattoos and piercings as a way to channel my emotional pain into physical, I never liked the actual feeling of getting it done, but the release of those pent up feelings. Ppl can tell you they're not suicidal, but that doesn't mean they aren't I know I've lied about it to ppl in the past. Her or you telling ppl this isn't self harm doesn't magically make it not self harm when it absolutely qualifies as SH.
Dahlia piercings are incredibly hard to do and take a skilled, knowledgable piercer who understands basic anatomy. There are multiple key anatomy considerations when we are doing these. First and foremost is finding a “sweet spot” or a safe spot for piercing in the cheeks. Key muscles including the orbicularis oris and zygomatius muscles as well as parotid ducts, transverse and inferior facial arteries, and salivary ducts all run along the insides of our cheeks. She didn't even check to factor any of that into her thought process. These are also notoriously known for permanent teeth damage. You can look at things through rose tinted glasses for all I care, but let's not sit here and say "she's doing this to be quirky" she's either mentally ill, incredibly dumb, or just self destructive.

It is very obvious you truly care about people and you are amazing. As a mom to an 18 year old, seeing her do this makes me so worried for her and sad. I have had my tongue, belly button and 7 ear piercings and never bled enough to even see it. She is going to eventually hit an artery, capillary, vein or nerve and either really hurt herself or her parents are going to find her in her room. That sounds dramatic but with the face piercings especially, it is absolutely possible. The fact that the only indication she even felt any of this was the nose piercing making her eyes water, that is not normal.
My daughter is a similar age (18 in July) and I've taken her to most of her piercing appointments. She 100% knows its her body, her choice when it comes to piercings but I've also tried to educate on doing it properly. I'll hopefully be taking her to get her first tattoo too (she just wants a tiny little banger for her 18th so more than happy to help her find a good artist).
Yeah. I was so worried with the first one because cheeks have some super important nerves, that if damaged, can cause Bell’s palsy and other forms of facial paralysis

⚠️I think a trigger warning is worth mentioning for a video of hers I'm gonna describe, it's pretty graphic⚠️
She had a video which was a newer one that has since been taken down either by YT or herself. It was where she was describing wanting dimples and she saw a surgery online you can get to make dimples. It involves cutting the inside of your cheeks and stitching inside to kind of pull the skin inwards, so you get the dimple look.
Well she actually tried this AT HOME, she didn't film it but she described what she did and showed the aftermath because it basically went very wrong.
For a start it got infected and she said she was draining loads of pus out of it. And her main mistake was sewing the wound in her cheek with regular thread, not medical dissolving thread, so her cheek healed around it and it was stuck inside. She then described how she cut open her cheek again to try and get the thread out but she cut it too short and only got half. She said there was so much blood that she was swallowing mouth fulls at a time.
Then at the end of the video she started cutting the inside of her cheek with a needle attempting to get the rest of the thread out but gave up saying she might have to go to the hospital but she was too scared to go. It's since been taken out I believe but I'm not sure by who.
Piercings are one thing but that was absolutely insane. And she had pictures and short videos of her with the dimple she made as well as a short video of her in the bathroom mirror when she was trying to get the thread out the first time I believe, so yes she actually did do this.

People need to be aware that that’s a really horrible idea. Unfortunately, when people post things online they need to be prepared that there will be feedback. You can take a video down, it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Honestly, it’s likely RUclips probably had it removed because of how crazy it was.
@@EmmaAndries I have ADHD, it does NOT make you do stuff like that, I think she has impulsive and SH urges, which she needs to get help for. And if she can't, she shouldn't be putting it on yt for people to see and potentially copy, it's dangerous to her and potentially viewers who see it, are desensitized, and try it themselves. It's not something to shame her for but she does need some form of help or assistance being medical or mental.
@@EmmaAndries she needs serious mental help if her impulses are forms of aggressive self-harm that she puts out on the internet for impressionable young viewers to witness. as someone with adhd and bipolar who used to self-harm frequently, i'm fairly certain she's experiencing some form of mania. adhd impulses do not extend to mutilating oneself on camera and not even flinching. that's mania, and it's self harm. to do it alone in your room with no one to witness is an entirely different thing from DOCUMENTING IT ON RUclips. she's clearly crying out for help in the only way she knows how, while also seeking validation and attention likely because her parents do not give her that.
The first video is like a weird dream-- we start out in a neighborhood in the dark, get "kidnapped" by an Uber, then wind up in a room the color of my great grandmother's 1930s bathroom tile, with a fly swatter and giant playing card on the wall, it's 5 AM and we watch a girl with the biggest needle I've ever seen give herself "11" piercings, there's blood everywhere while annoyingly happy music plays in the background...
Honestly this isn't about piercing, she already did those piercings and deliberately let them close up. She's self harming.

Thank you for bringing up the potential injurys / medical bills. Most people in their late teens and early twenty’s have no idea how expensive diy piercing fails can be . They could hit a blood vessel or artery and cause major damage . There are so many people who end up with debt Becuse of how expense medical bills in the United States are. Even if you have insurance there are plenty of things insurance won’t pay for or will pay a minimal amount. It is way cheaper in the long run and safer to be pierced professionally .

I just got my medusa redone around 3 months ago, and I bled alot as well. Partly cause I am a bit of a bleeder and cause scar tissue. I had a whole blood goatee going on!🤣🤣 my God does peircing thru scar tissue huuurrrrrt!! I'm so damn glad it healed well this time cause no chance in hell was it happening a 3rd time!😂 sorry yours was a bit rough too, but it's worth it for the end result I think! ❤

I think you're 100% right that this is SH possibly caused by something deeper and she's more than likely on some sort of substance if not multiple. This actually kinda hurts to watch cause I was a lot like that as a kid dealing with multiple undiagnosed/unidentified issues and turned to SH and substances as an outlet.
