I grew up loving to hear stories and see pictures of VF-84. I also had the Jolly Rogers F-14 Model. I did not truly know the history of this Iconic Squadron till much later in life. But the movie The Final Countdown was my first introduction to this Iconic Squadron. Nothing like a pair of F-14s with the Skull and Crossbones tracking down a Japanese Zero.

How do you find your carrier in a combat situation ?
A combination of eyeballs, vectors from applicable agency, last known position + direction / speed of intended movement.
Question, could an avionics upgrade allow an F14d to go head to head with an F35?
Why dont they have munitions designed to take out fighters with Fod? Imagine flying a jet into a cloud of 5 million dispersed bbs.
