ride is about lana. she always had a taste for men who are older bc she seeks safety in them. she has had a lot of backslash from the media about her songs. just a lot of hate going on and abusieve exes. she is trying to say that she just rides when negative things happen aswell as in her mind as in real life. but as she says 'im tired of driving till i see stars in my eyes' but its all to keep here self sane. she is all about freedom and just wants to be loved by someone who wants to take the long road. there is so much more

This is my favourite music video of all time, seriously. Timeless song fr. It's ab escapism and how lana often uses that as a coping mechanism, along w her longing for the American dream and longing for freedom. She's def sad here but trying to escape it or ignore it in the mean time, just having fun. One of her best and so relatable to some. Shows rlly g insight into her past and her thoughts.That bridge is perfectionnn.
