Thanks for posting this. Brings back fond memories of my childhood. It must have cost a fortune to make a Treasure Hunt episode. Two helicopters, fuel, camera crew.
A lot of time was lost on the first clue and asking those kids the directions. I think most of the time Anneke might've been advised to bumble around a bit to save Ch4 doling out the £1000 prize money. Second clue, he could've landed right beside to the pool.
Mum liked that Anneka always looked out for the crew, the cameraman & soundman, running with her, holding doors for them, asking if they're alright. Was she shouting "Stop! Stop!" to the children behind her at the side of the road? Again, she's showing consideration for others. Those boys look 10? Wow, they're 50 now!!!
Butlin's Ayr became Wonderwest World in 1987 and became Haven Craig Tara in 1999 after Butlin's owners Bourne Leisure reorganised Butlin's sites. The chalets were replaced with static caravans.
They must have been totally thick to not have realised that they should be looking for a bridge immediately upon reading the word 'keystone' but it takes Anneka to tell them and she can hardly even hear them as it is
@@fionastevenson6019 Cassillis is not pronounced "cassilleus", it's pronounced "Cassels", and Crossraguel is not pronounced "Cross-Rag-Yule" either - hence them being corrected with the proper pronunciation. Culzean is not pronounced "Cullin" or "Kull Zee-an" either, it's pronounced "Collane". All the places visited in this episode, with the exception of the Aisla Craig, are within 10 mile radius of where I live.
Thank you for posting this I was a teen in love with Anneka when this show ran !

It's been a long tine since I last watched Treasure Hunt. Good adventure gameshow.

I’ve stayed in Ayr & visited that castle, on a beautiful summers day. Is was so lovely. Will have to go back, again.

Made her famous though.
HAHAHA loved the old fashioned adverts!

I think I had a mad crush on Anneka back then, even though I was about eight.
I am not sure how Annie kept her cool with those two goons - very arrogant.
For the last time I'm in the right tower!!
She’s a patient woman, that guy in the dark glasses was really irritating.
My thoughts exactly....
Poor Anneka. Two of the most annoying and arrogant contestants ever.
Pair of knobs
They must have been totally thick to not have realised that they should be looking for a bridge immediately upon reading the word 'keystone' but it takes Anneka to tell them and she can hardly even hear them as it is
Actually a keystone is usually found at the apex of an arch.
@cathykinn4516 Actually I learned all about static equilibrium aged 13 in 1989
Hang on Anneka let me just Google it
Pronunciations of Cassillis (Castles), Dunure, Crossraguel and Culzean (Cull-ane) are hilarious.
That is how they are pronounced!!!!
