I think that the Government could buy all of the cattle that they could need, without resorting to "mutilations." They could do it through the USDA, or other above ground organizations, that do research of various kinds.

Dr.Greer thinks he has it all figured out but he doesn't. His quest is noble but he's wrong in a lot of aspects, he's misguided. These beings are spiritual, they don't just phase out. Greer/humans want to use science to explain things. The man who was astral projecting hit their ship because it was his spirit, and they operate on a spiritual level. Not on another plane. These beings aren't what we think they are or what they claim to be. Humans are foolish and want to put everything in a box.
