    This is by far the best razor I have used, ever. I tried Wilkinson Sword and other makes. I've tried shop own makes and they are all rubbish compared to gillette.. Expensive yes but the best shave and I get around 10 shaves out of one blade...Great vid mate

    Great video. Aren't the replacement cartridges for the exfoliating and heated razor moreorless the same? I tried the one bladed Gillette guard razor you reviewed some weeks ago and I think it is excellent. Wish there were more one blade cartridge razors on the market.

      Hi Edward. Thanks so much for the comment. Yes, just tried and the two are interchangeable. The heated has blue strips both sides whereas the exfoliating only has a white strip on one side.

    I actually like them both. The Exfoliating razor is a great shave, but i hate the fact that technically the blades are proprietary. You can only use its blades or the heated blades. But nevertheless, both provide good shaves for a cartridge razor. JimG

    • @sharpshaves
      @sharpshaves  Год назад

      Hi Jim. Cheers for the comment. Yes it is a decent shave. I feel like very few of the razors I try out have interchangeable blades. They all want you to think theirs is better and keep you hooked on them. That's what got me started trying to find the best one.

      Hi Matt. Apologies, I should have given you a shout out as it was your suggestion. Yes - I think I agree that it is better than the ProGlide as a daily shave. Not much in it but the ProGlide seemed to deal with 3 days growth a tiny bit easier. I have some of the gel - again thanks to your recommendation. It is decent stuff. Smells great. I'll maybe do a video on creams / gels at some point. Thanks again for your comments.

    The exfoliating feature might not be suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive skin.The Gillette Labs exfoliating razor offers an innovative approach to shaving with its built-in exfoliating bar. However, its higher price point and limited user experience data might make it less appealing to some consumers.

    • @sharpshaves
      @sharpshaves  Год назад +7

      Yes, I completely agree. There is no way it would 'exfoliate' in any substantial way. I do think it is a good shave though. Not megabucks. Less of a gimmick than the heated one. What do you think of the shave? Eg compared to the ProGlide?

    Like everything else, it's a very poor shave compared to the results you get with a cutthroat razor. It's easy to see why - there's nothing between you and the blade, where these cartridges have guards and things so you can't get close to your skin.

    • @sharpshaves
      @sharpshaves  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes. Absolutely. I've only ever had a cutthroat shave at a barber. But it is the closest by far. The more blades and goo bars and the bigger the head, then its harder to get that lovely close feel. Cheers for the comment
